Me and my husbands favorite spot I lived in ybor since I was four and it’s crazy to say that me and my husband ate there basically throughout our whole relationship it was our favorite spot I always order the pizza burger I recommend everyone to try it it is delicious their burgers are tasty with so much flavor and their fries are the best they have great customer service I love the fact that I could just call them give them my card information and my husband will pick it up on his way from work their food is delicious and I can truly say that this is New York style this is my favorite restaurant and I’m really going to miss it when I move away from Florida soon if anyone is ever going to the Ybor area I recommend eating here and the prices are great and affordable and they have a great menu with so many different items I promise you’ll order something and will be willing to come back.

Having moved to Ybor City recently, I craved a good pizza with a good Caesar salad.
So I went online and checked all of the Unilocal ratings and New York New York pizza had some good reviews (but some really bad ones, as well, but you never know what cranky people are thinking).
So I ordered a specialty pie and a salad and the driver called to say he had the wrong address (not a good sign — I’m less than 10 blocks away).
Sure enough, by the time I got my order $ 21 for a small thin-​crust pizza that was room temp), I noticed that I was overcharged by 25% for the salad, as well.
Wrong crust, wrong price, room temp pizza.
When I called to ask them for a refund, they quickly said «no problem» and said they would bring it back to me. But then they asked if I just wanted a new, larger pizza and a salad AND A REFUND as well. I’m in the biz, so I just said, «hey, just bring me a hot pizza.»
They said that would be great!
5 minutes later they said the manager said that they would just refund my money.
A while later the driver showed up (who I had tipped FOUR DOLLARS) and looked at the pizza and salad and said since I had eaten half of each, «no refund» and he dropped the mic and walked off the stage.
I called back and the phone attendant said that the previous person I had talked to had «no business» telling me what she said, and that there was no manager on duty (?!?) and that since I «had eaten half of my food, no refund.» That I could call tomorrow.
WOW!
I just wanted hot pizza. I had eaten three of the 8 slices and less than half of the salad…,
WOW.

This place was a LIFESAVER!
On a free-​spirited evening. we somehow ended ourselves in Ybor. After a few drinks… we tried to be responsible, and walked around for a while before heading home. We then decided to grab a bite to eat, and settled on this place.
However, «settled» doesn’t go to describe this place. The service was friendly & super quick. I’m also very grateful that they accept credit/​debit cards. Some pizza places these days haven’t made that change yet.
We got the plain and the florentine slice. They were both delicious & no I don’t think any previous alcohol consumption had anything to do with it. I’ve had soooooo many «authentic» pizzas & I can honestly say this is one of the best I’ve ever had.
Little to no (added) toppings (like salt, pepper, garlic, etc) on a pizza = A-​M-​A-​Z-​I-​N-​G PIE :-)

Grandma’s pie

5÷21÷2016 at approximately 1030 pm my daughter and her 2 friends ate pepperoni pizza from your establishment. They each had a slice and all got food poisoning. That is the only place that they shared food before their sleepover and they all became violently ill. the pizza seemed to come fresh out of the oven. Buyer beware and as a parent I asked them to stay wary of the miscreants that frequent Ybor, but your pizza is what ultimately got them. Ugh !! Thanks for nothing. If possible to give no stars that’s what this place would get.

The pizza is mediocre. The main reason we eat here is to have something fatty in our tummy after clubbing. If you ordered something outside, paid for it, had it in your hands and then decided to eat it inside instead, they wont let you. The staff inside is friendly and nice though.

I love this little pizza spot! But in my opinion, the best way to enjoy these large slices, definitely, is by sitting in the joint with a beer and a friend. During the week. It gets very busy weekend nights which adds a completely different dynamic simply due to the people-​watching aspect. Regardless, the pizza is just as good despite the day or time. But if you want a cool, chill spot to enjoy a slice, go during the week. And order one slice at a time.
I’ve had this pizza both at the shop and via delivery, and I really prefer to eat there because the bottom is perfectly crunchy just when it comes out of the oven, and that’s my favorite thing about these slices; the crunchy chewy balance they achieve in the crust. They don’t go sauce overload and the flavors are just right.
I got adventurous once and ordered a non-​pizza meal there, and it was ok. My recommendation: stick to the pizza and you’ll want to come back again and again!

Haven’t tried all there pizzas so can’t give them a 5 just yet but what I’ve had so far. Pepperoni, cheese, florentine (amazing) & idk whatelse. If I cud give them a 4.75 that’s what I’d rate them cuz there pizza is really good!!!

Really cute little place in Ybor city. I came here for the evening and I decided to try this pizza, based on Unilocal reviews.
It’s really a small joint, with excellent no-​nonsense staff and certainly not service oriented. However, their pizza is to die for.
They have a really good special, two slices of cheese pizza and a soda for only five dollars. I did not expect to have such a great and inexpensive dinner while roaming around the streets of Ybor aimlessly as a tourist who is about to board a cruise. I wasn’t even expecting to visit Ybor city.
All in all, I highly recommend this joint and check it out!

5 stars! Would give them more if I could. Best pizza ever w a great friendly staff. We like to sit and watch them make the pizza at the pizza bar counter. Lots of Ybor people watching entertainment too lol! We drive all the way from Apollo Beach to get a slice. Always make a Ybor City night out of it.

Who is local, and has never eaten here? Probably not many. It’s the staple drink and grab a slice joint. Always hot, and ready fast. Slice prices are reasonable, and the taste is amazing.

Needed something quick and easy so we hit up New York New York. Sat at a booth and received excellent service during our time here. Lots of tables available inside and outside plus a counter. It was fun watching them through dough while we waited on our food.
We ordered a small pepperoni and some BBQ wings. I really liked the pizza. Was not greasy on the bottom and the crust was crispy yet soft inside. And just the right amount of pepperoni distributed evenly across the whole pie. The wings were crispy but wasn’t digging the BBQ sauce that much.
Prices are great, our bill was less than $ 20 (small pizza, 6 wings and two sodas). We had pizza left over but couldn’t take it with us. I would definitely come back if we are ever craving pizza in Ybor.

Closest I’ve found to NY pizza in Tampa. Huge slices, right amount of cheese, sauce and oil. Very friendly staff and great prices. Forget about it! Definitely check it out.?They also have daily specials (I.e. 2 slices and soda $ 5). Extensive menu features salads, appetizers, soups, pastas, wraps and gyros, burgers, sandwiches, subs, dinners and deserts. Bet and wine served too!

Who would have thought some of the best pizza would come right out of a window in the heart of Ybor City? Every time I’m in Ybor I end up getting a slice or two from this joint. It’s a godsend especially in the wee hours of the morning after you’ve been partying all night long and need some fuel. If you don’t want to wait for an open table or bar stool inside, jump in line to order your pizza through the window. Their slices are huge and they are generous if you order toppings. The crust is thin and crispy and overall, the pie doesn’t seem greasy like most places’. I gotta hand it to them — they know what they’re doing!

It’s late. You’ve been partying. Just get in line and have a slice. Ask them to «burn it» and they will put it back in the oven and make the bottom crispy. Just don’t burn the top of your mouth when you go to eat.
It’s a nice slice of pie when you need it late. Tip the guys a buck, they are working for living.

This is hands down the best pizza I’ve had in florida.
Coming from Connecticut/​NY area, this pizza is just like home!

Slow service… Cold food. And hamburger taste like soy beans… Not recommended. Precinct pizza is way better! Food was late and the melted styrofoam appetizers… Yuck! Called and no apologizes.

Calling ahead doesn’t mean a thing! I called 40 minutes before I planned to pick a pizza up, got there and the order taker didn’t tell the pizza makers to make my order. I only have a 30 minute lunch break. I asked to take a «window pizza» that was ready since they hadn’t popped mine in the oven yet and was rejected.

I’ve been a loyal customer here for 7 years. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for about 4 years. Recently I’ve notice a decline in the food & service. It’s as if the staff rather I not spend my money there. I finally had enough when, not only did they deliver the incorrect order, didn’t seem to care that I was a dissatisfied (long time) customer.
Sorry guys… You let my family down. Luckily there’s no shortage of good food in the neighborhood. I just have too pay a little more.

The pizza was great, best I had during the week I was in St. Petersburg and Tampa/​Ybor. Service was satisfactory and pricing was decent. Really liked the New York art mural on the wall and the 60’s soda bar style of checkered tile and red booths. I had a slice of the Florentine and of good olé’ pepperoni. both were really good.

Great choice! As my son said «Cheese and good dad!» This place has been in Ybor for years. I forgot how good this place makes pizza.

Pizza was AMAZING, service was GREAT! Met so many different in one sitting it’s chill, even can get a beer. Me and my brother are from out of state. We will be regular customers for PreFest.

NY NY Pizza is pretty decent. I usually get their sandwiches which are large and taste decent («chicken parm you taste so good») although they may take awhile coming out. The pizza is OK, a little on the greasy side — the slices are HUUUGE! (said in the voice of that car salesman guy). The prices are very good.
The one server, who has worked there forever, is a true professional. Taking orders, answering the phone, getting drinks, etc. while doing so in a friendly manner.
Looks like a diner inside with booths and bar seating, as well as a few tables outside for prime people watching. Not a bad option for pizza or pasta in Ybor.
Originally, I was going to give 3 stars but after reading my generally positive review, I’ll go with 4.

I was at the cigar place across the street n happen to see this new York style pizza place n I just had to cross the street n grab a slice! The pizza is just delicious, the zucchini was delicious n my bud light of course was the delicious! I wish I would’ve came with a group of people to order a fresh big pizza but I got a slice which was still delicious! Most definitely recommend this place it’s also so very inexpensive n I totally recommend this new York style pizza place!

This place offers some of the larger size slices in Ybor (many pizzerias nearby). Easy to take out from the window. Price includes sales tax… no fumbling with coins. They often offer slice specials, like 2 slices and a soda, etc. They routinely offer several different pizza’s by the slice as well, like white pizza, veggie, etc.
Now for sit-in…another story all together. It’s loud in here. Also the restrooms need a few gallons of bleach, to clean it up. So pizza by the slice, 4 stars, indoor dining and restroom facilities, 2 stars, avg. 3 stars.

BEST NY STYLE PIZZA in Tampa Bay hands down! The slices are thin, a big width, and even bigger flavor. The meat pizza is to die for. Anytime I have money and I’m near Ybor City, I stop by for a slice to go. Each slice is $ 4, but they are so big, one slice is perfect. I believe they are open 24 hours, or at least it seems that way.
I’ve never been inside the restaurant, I’ve only taken from the to go window. They display all of their available pies in the window and throw a slice in the oven when you ask for it. This is a must place to go when you want to try a slice of NY style pizza in Tampa Bay.

Between meetings, I stopped by with some friends for lunch. Luckily, we snagged the big table up front. The place has a high ceiling. Despite it being a small square foot-​wise place, you don’t feel claustrophobic.
I ordered the cold Italian Sub «12. It includes ham, salami, cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, oil & vinegar. It was huge and very tasty. The bread was soft yet durable. Only the burgers and wraps come with fries so I ordered some for the table. I wasn’t crazy about them because I don’t care much for batter coated fries. There was a basket of onion rings at my table too and they were only OK. A friend ordered the Buffalo wings and really enjoyed them.
Everyone at my table was content with their food and we were all impressed on how speedy and friendly the waitstaff was. I understand it has quite a late-​night following, as well. I would definitely stop by again for lunch or for a late-​night pig-​out after leaving a bar.

An Ybor City staple, New York, New York Pizza is a stop you have to make. I’ve been visiting Ybor for AGES and i’d avoided it forever until now.
The other night after a comedy show, I was hungry and needed food, so with the others in my party, we made our way down to NYNY and indulged in a slice each. I got the Grandmother’s pizza, the toppings were a bit sparse, but the crust was good, especially when they heated it through in their big ovens.
I’d indulge again!

This is the quintessential late-​night Ybor stop. After a night of drinking and bar hopping, chances are you’ll be ready for a bite to eat. NY NY Pizza is the place for you.
The pizza slices are as big as your head, cheesy, and delicious. The crust is thin and crispy. The staff has always been super friendly. which is an accomplishment considering how many drunken idiots I’m sure they deal with daily! You’ll always get a fresh slice since there is a steady flow of customers at all times. Make this your go-​to Ybor spot for cheap, good food!

I get very skeptical when I see pizzerias claiming to be NY Style but this one did not disappoint. We dined inside and the pizza was delicious. We ordered a medium pie with fresh garlic and extra cheese, it was spot on! For some reason, not many places we’ve been to offer fresh garlic as a topping but thankfully they had it on their menu so we didn’t hesitate. The pizza was greasy as a NY pizza should be and it was baked to perfection.
The service was perfect and our server was efficient and friendly. She kept checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The place looked clean and there are plenty of tables inside and out. They offer a full menu which includes pasta dishes, hamburgers and wings. They have a full bar and you can sit at the counter if you wish. Unfortunately for us, this place is too far to come every time we have a craving for real NY Pizza but we will definitely be back!
