Went there a few times to see DJ’s I liked. The crowd is young, drunk, or on drugs. Definitely not a high end crowd or anything I like to be around. Very smoky, you could barely breath or see anything in front of you. It ruined my contacts and all of my clothes. This is a reason alone I won’t be going back. What was worse, and I had never experienced with any of the DJ’s that I’ve seen around the world, the pre acts before the DJ do NOT play similar or same kind of music than the DJ. So you don’t even get in the mood of that certain style of music. You listen to Justin Bieber and Hip Hop instead which I highly dislike. We were in the VIP area and it was extremely cold there. Glad I brought a jacket but I will definitely not go back there anymore.

Stopped by on a Monday night and thought why not, what’s there to loose. The door guy was nice. He mentioned it being industry night, and since my husband and I work in the biz, we went to try it out. Complimentary drinks til 12 was a nice surprise and the staff seemed great, only problem was the crowd. Went to go to the bathroom and the security guard told me I couldn’t bring my drink in, I tell my husband to watch it and he suggests maybe it was 18 to enter, which then made sense to the amount of young girls running around everywhere. Overall it really wasn’t as bad as I’d heard about it. We left around 12:30/1 so I guess we missed any of the wild party crowd(we did however see a bottle of crown get thrown from the dance floor). No one bothered us or cause problems and the DJ played mostly edm with some hip-hop thrown in. It was a fun an unexpected night.

Wifey and I were walking by The amp to just grab a quick beer elsewhere when the door guys invited us in with free cover and free drinks. Of course we were hesitant with everything we’ve heard about the place since moving to Tampa a year ago. Long story short we were pleasantly surprised. Yes the place is pretty dingy and the crowd was young but the music was on point and everyone was having fun. Never thought id say this but well be back.

This concert venue is pretty awesome for live shows, despite me being pretty old now and feeling even older when attending a concert here. I have seen some house music shows here and the lighting in addition to the sound(bass) was awesome. The place gets pretty crowded and liked with underagers so please be forewarned. Also, because of limited space you might have people invading your personal space or drunk people hitting on/touching you but I suppose that’s at any concert. I wish I could say I didn’t have experience with that here. There is a moving dance floor – this just does not seem right to me but people have fun out there on it and it is entertaining for some. Upstairs is a VIP section away from the massive crowd. Drinks are pretty ok also and averagely priced. Check out a live show here.

Had a great time. Had some conflicts with the security being racist to my friend. He ruined his night but we had fun. Got VIP and had no problem getting in. Little Expensive though but any club is. They were getting rowdy in it. Danced my ass off for a free show that ended up not being free lol. All and all cool place to visit. The stage is high up off the group. Recommendations: don’t be racist. Don’t have the dj saying«where are all my white people at»? I don’t give a fuck but other people do

This club is pretty good overall, but it is a bit wild for a club. A lot of the people in the club seemed to be sloppy drunk, or on drugs. Definitely not a high end crowd. I only have been here twice, and they were both enjoyable for me for about an hour or so. However, after two hours it simply got to be too loud with the music. Also, there is not a wide variety of music played at this club. Most of the music is EDM. So, if you’re into that, this place is for you. Bar is always very crowded. Lighting is poor. Just feels kind of trashy.

If you love EDM music and don’t mind 18 year olds — the Amphitheatre Event Facility is a great place to be. It essentially brought me back to Ybor City after years of not visiting nightclubs there and the resident DJs are often spinning just what I want to hear. The DJ acts they bring in are often really talented and often the prices to see them are not too high. The spinning dance floor is always fun, I wish it went the entire time, but I assume there is a safety reason for that. When it gets crowded you realize the dance floor isn’t as big as you want it to be, but that happens at any nightclub no matter how big it is.

So — the dance floor moves. That’s pretty cool. That’s all I really have to say about the Ampitheatre. Good drinks, moving dance floor, club music. Not necessarily my «scene» but I’ve had a good time the few times that I have been to The Amp!

I love coming here on Saturday nights to rave! They have an awesome DJ on Saturday nights. Beware a lot of people are on drugs. It’s fun to drink and come here, the prices are a little ridiculous. Friday nights aren’t as fun. The DJ isn’t that great. I love coming here with friends. Anything you wear will probably be acceptable. A lot of girls don’t wear a lot of clothes, or wear neon things for the black light.

I’ve been here a few times for concerts. It can get super crowded, but that sort of gives the place a nice frantic energy. They appear to have good music playing. They also have a revolving dance floor, but it seems to stop moving after a while. It’s also a bad place to put glass, but somehow folks decide to do that frequently. They have specials on cover if you comment on their event before a certain time on Fridays. Their drinks are pretty expensive, so I’d advise getting drinks elsewhere first.

First time at The Amphitheater Even facility, I came on a Saturday and it was techno night and I have no idea who the DJ was but he was pretty cool. The place is not huge and gets PACKED big time so come early, also there is two lines you have to get in before you can get inside the club and the fee to get in is $ 15 buck drinks are not included but it is a lot of fun to be inside and everyone is nice and not to much bumping in to each other. The only thing I did not like about this place besides $ 4.00 beers was the place is not big enough to handle the crowd but if you can get in to the VIP section you can be upstairs watching everyone dancing and even go out on the balcony to see what is going on in the streets of Ybor city. The club is located a busy stripe of YBOR city in Tampa famous for its club and nightlife recently but before that because of the cigar factory(Questa Rey) this area has a nice night life but be careful with bums(homeless)and people that are drunk, off course there is plenty of cops around but mostly in the busy areas of the strip witch is not very long and towards the end of the road or the nightlife of YBOR city there is clubs with rap music and even a gay club near the Amphitheater. Good music and you can have plenty of fun here. A moving dance floor in the middle and even if you don’t like the floor moving it can all be seen from the out side parts of the moving dance floor. If you are walking down the streets of Ybor city(7th street) look out for the people with the giant snakes, you can even take a picture with them.

Went to see MGK, over booked the event so fans whom had bought tickets prior to the event were being turned away after waiting hours for the show. The bouncers at the front were down right rude and acted as if it was a inconvenience to explain to individuals who paid 70+ dollars they were not going to be allowed into the venue. This place plain sucks, avoid it and go to other music venues in town.

This mid-sized club is awesome with its moving dance floor and big names that they bring to the city like the acts I drove down to see — Nadia Ali and Starkillers. In fact, Nadia Ali stops mid-show and was like, «Wait a minute?! Is the floor MOVING!!! That’s awesome!» or something to that degree. Haha. The crowd is younger from early 20s but I come for the music and so do they! Everyone was really friendly and the energy in the AMP is fest-ready! Definitely one of the best clubs in Tampa if you’re about EDM/techno/dance and need something to hold you over till the next big fest.

The crowd is pretty young and as a «geriatric raver», as I have jokingly dubbed myself, it can feel a bit like I’m surrounded by children. The shows are always decent and as a craft lover who dabbles in costume making, sometimes I will get decked out for themed parties. It’s about the only place I can get away with it around Tampa and Sarasota. Believe me when I say, I take advantage! If you don’t like hot crowded dance floors with 18 year old fluorescent clad girls and skinny barely legal boys sporting furry bear hoods that light up, pass. If you want to hear some bass, get down on the rotating floor or see a big named DJ, this place is probably going to make for a fun night.

I was at this venue as a part of the annual Santa Pub Crawl in Ybor. Amphitheatre was our 3rd bar on the itinerary. It was my first time here and I enjoyed it. All of my friends were excited about the rotating dance floor. I’ll admit… I was skeptical at first, but once I was on it, it was pretty cool. The rotation was at a slower than expected pace, but in hindsight it need to be for safety reason. The drinks were good and decently priced. Eventually we made our way to the second floor which was spacious and looked down on the first floor. I would go back here if I am with a group and want to venture out in Ybor again. Often there are shows here, which this a good venue for. B. Major Grade: B

This is the only club in the Tampa area that plays a wide variety of EDM and brings DJs and Artists of this genre to the bay area. It probably is the only club that brings that Vegas level of nightlife to our neck of the woods on a small scale. Tampa really needs more clubs and venues like this one.

Since it reopened, this place has been having some awesome EDM events. Last night with BT was great, I enjoyed the show, complete with dancers and an Cirque du Soliel inspired performance. The place was packed and everyone was dancing lie mad, the rotating dance floor was packed all night. The sound system was a bit muffly and could use a tune up.
