Keep your eyes peeled when going to The Pour House for the first time-you’ll most likely drive past it once or twice… or a few times. The address says Kennedy but it’s technically on Madison, fortunately next to a parking garage because street parking is minimal. Just minutes from Channelside and Ybor City, The Pour House is a great spot with a consistently spectacular beer selection. On my last visit, I enjoyed a bottle of Smuttynose Rocky Road, which I haven’t seen/found anywhere else in Tampa. They also have some wines if you’re not a beer fan, which I’m noticing more and more at breweries/tasting rooms. Lots of tv’s, a pool table and complimentary popcorn(there are 2 restaurants that are a stone’s throw away if popcorn isn’t enough). Oh, and they’re dog friendly! There were so many people with their dogs, it was like drinking at a kennel! Overall, this is a new favorite place of mine and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s a fan of beer or dogs or both!

This is a casual bar with a huge selection of beer. I come here all the time and I enjoy chatting with the locals and staff.

Poor health definitely is not my first first choice of places to go in the Tampa Bay area. First of all I know no major beer drinker nor do I rarely even drink beer. Of course they have one but there one in the middle and not the best that you can get for the price that they’re asking that’s for sure! I like the atmosphere, it is chill, cousin, and relaxing. I guess really can’t get into something that’s totally about beer more of a man’s world than a woman’s world and hey, that’s an actual fact. A paragraph I wasn’t impressed that they didn’t serve any food. But I was glad to see that you can order food in and have something to eat if you were going to be there for an evening or several hours. We ordered something and it was okay that will be in another review but um come but hey at least they offer that because they don’t serve food and I appreciate that. What I don’t appreciate is the fact that their wine selection is a little to nothing and the beer selection is very enticing. If I were a beer drinker I would definitely go back in a heartbeat, being a wine drinker no medicine on a place to go to be pleased with your wine selection. What’s a girl to do got a beautiful view, bud the good one, not for me.

I live in channelside and love this place. The beer selection is amazing but I like the joint due to it having a laid back cozy atmosphere. Dogs are welcomed and Its great walking in and seeing a lab sitting on one of the couches as he owns the place. The service is always on point. I think the owner bartends at times and he always offers great service. Everyone in channelside knows about this place already but if you live downtown you should give it a try.

We keep coming back. Thursday night(beer festival) we waited an hour to get in. The special beer selections were fantastic. The two of us tried 12 different samples before picking our favorites. The GLB Beard of Zeus was perfectly balanced and my favorite. Had dinner as well mussels and a savory pie. Not gourmet dinning but a wonderful pub!

Best spot downtown to grab a craft beer or five. Awesome selection on draft, great bartenders, and can’t forget the free popcorn.

Great local spot. Awesome beer selection! Fresh serve-yourself free popcorn to all customers. Dogs are allowed so bring your animal companions. Parking is free for 1st two hours but bike parking is plenty and that’s our preferred method of transportation to this local watering hole.

Great location and atmosphere. This place has a wide selection of beer, knowledgeable bartenders, lots of room. When I came here the place was packed, but that didn’t stop us from getting a served quickly at the bar. Once we got to the bar, we were greeted right away. The menu is large, ask the bartender for some recommendations and maybe even taste a few before you order. Once we ordered we got a drinks shortly after. The bartender left us as it was quite busy but didn’t forget, he came over to check on us every once in a while. I like that the bar allows dogs to come in and join you while you have a drink. That night might have been a little too crowded to have dogs, but thought it was neat to bring your dog with you. Great place to have drinks, relax, plenty of TVs to watch the game that’s going on. Will be back again.

This is such a great bar. I found out about this place because the third Thursday of every month there’s a food truck rally that happens in the street. I went here with my dog and it was so accommodating. The beers and ciders are great, and there’s free popcorn too!

Great, chill bar for huge selection of craft beers(and wines) and hanging with friends! Lots of seating, free popcorn, and the drink prices are very reasonable. The décor is cute but simple, they have lots of windows and natural light, and there are plenty of tables, high tops, and couches. Peter, who is the manager and bar tender, is super friendly! They have a mini-appetizer menu from cena across the street starting at 5pm if you want food as well.

Pourhouse is great! I’ve lived in the area for about a year, but I visited this bar for the first time on Thursday. They have a good selection with about 35 – 40 craft beers on tap, cans/bottles, and wine! They also have free popcorn! What more could you want? On top of that, they have a cool vibe with a variety of art, great seating options(chairs, high tops, and couches), and a pool table/darts. All in all, a nice place to hang out and everyone I’ve interacted with there has been very friendly! Both times I’ve been served by Peter one of the bartenders/managers, who has been excellent.

The Pour House is one of my go-to bars for a great craft beer. It has a GINORMOUS selection of local and non-local brews, of all sorts, and a wonderful cozy feel to it. They have couches and a huge outdoor seating area shared with other businesses at Grand Central – and while they don’t serve food(although they have popcorn), you are welcome to bring in food from any of those neighboring restaurants, and some even deliver. This is a great, typically Florida place to gather with friends. Noise level is manageable, space is wide open since you have the patio, and it’s super cozy and the staff will make you feel at home – or at least the way you wish your felt, if you were this cool. There is apparently a coffee shop about to open in this space during the mornings and early afternoons – Ginger Beards – serving Nitro Cold Brew and traditional hot coffee. I’m excited to be able to expand my hours(and work) in the cozy location into daylight non-weekend hours with that new twist on my old favorite bar ;)

Laid-back casual hipster bar with 30 craft beers on tap, located in downtown channelside in Kennedy grand central. This place does not serve any liquor, never plays loud music, nor gets too busy. Their beers range from $ 6-$ 8. They have pool tables and comfy couches. They never run any drink specials unless it’s food truck Thursday once per mo in which case they have a limited selection of canned brewskies for $ 3 per piece. This place is dog friendly and usually has a water bowl in the front of the place. They have free popcon and a pool table. Theres 2 hour free parking in the garage. They have a limited order food menu that includes a pizza and spaghetti and meatballs from Cena. I have never tried it. They do a running club on Wednesday’s. After you run a 5k, you get a free pint. As I’m not too big on craft beers and they never run any drink specials, I usually go to City Dog Cantina or Maloneys next door instead.

One of my favorite places to go in Tampa. A very laid back crowd every time I’ve been here. They allow dogs inside, so great for a hot summer FL day. The best part is complementary popcorn… Good beer selections and have decent wines. A few TV at the bar and around the place.

Located at Grand Central at Kennedy this bar is a great local stop with a large patio and very knowledgable bartenders. They do not serve food, but after 5 p.m. a limited bar menu is available from the restaurant Cena across the way. 40 taps are always running and they have very difficult to obtain options including St Arnold’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Pumpkinator(only tap in all of Florida). If you like trying all different types of craft brews, this is your place. They offer free popcorn and it is also dog friendly!

Currently one of my favorite bars in Tampa. First found out about this gem when I joined a running club that meets here on Wednesdays. The staff are super friendly and extremely knowledgeable not only about the beer on tap, but such a wide selection that you could name one your normally drink and they can make a very close recommendation for you if they do not have it. Wide range of customers all really friendly, I feel at home right after work in business professional clothes and similarly as comfortable after a long hot run in work out gear. In addition to the friendly staff and patrons, there is an old school popcorn machine, comfy couches and usually a few sweet dogs in attendance to sweeten the deal. They dont serve food(except for the free popcorn) but there is an «order out» menu offered at the bar and you can order or bring your own food from anywhere if you get hungry! Bring your dog or a few friends and try a few brews here!

Neighborhood bar that would be great to lounge in with more than adequate seating. Bartenders are a bit standoffish and would rather you order your drink at the bar than having to come out from behind the bar to serve you. We went in to watch the hockey game after an event. It was fairly slow but we were ignored. There is no food served here but I saw people bringing food in. Not sure if I would come back to a bar where the bartenders think they are all that and ignore you. There are plenty of other bars in the area that have much more interaction and are much more lively.

TL;DR — If you’re looking to RAGE or get TURNTUP, you’re looking in the wrong place. Pour House is a clean, casual bar in the Channelside district that tends to lend itself towards a more relaxing experiencing. Whether you want to sit on a couch and converse with a friend or simply chill and watch a game on some bar stools, this is the bar to do it. It’s never too crowded and never too loud. They have free freshly popped popcorn to compliment their 30+ bars on hand that are priced around 6 bucks each — pretty standard for one of these joints. The place is pet-friendly as I’ve seen multiple local residents bring along their pets while they enjoy a cold pint. There’s even a water bowl by the door so your dog doesn’t get thirsty either. A nearby garage offers free parking for the first 2 hours which will give you ample time to play a few game of darts or pool with some good ol’ beer. I don’t venture over to this side of town often but when I do, I always make sure I swing by for a drink.

This place is a great bar to come relax and have a few drinks at. They have couches, tv’s, darts, a pool table and fresh made popcorn to snack on. Large selection of beer and wines to choose from and the atmosphere is laid back. Since moving from the Channelside area I haven’t had the chance to go as often as I used to. But when I lived down the street it was great to just grab a bottle of wine and hang in the courtyard for casual socializing. Everyone brings there pooch along and the dogs roam around the bar/outside area as if it was their hang out as well. If you haven’t stopped in before. Please do! It’s a great place to grab a beer/wine, have conversation and just relax. Parking is free the first 2 hours in the parking garage and finger foods can be ordered from the Italian restaurant Cena as well.
