I was in town for a conference and needed a quick lunch. I came across Primo’s Deli and ordered a tuna sub chips and a water. The sub roll was old and they use the inexpensive dark tuna. However the people were nice and the place was clean. I had higher expectations for my sandwich maybe it is the NYC in me.

Just arrived at 8:37 for breakfast and the business is closed. Hours on Unilocal and google say open from 8am to 3pm. No posted hours on storefront.

Solid sandwiches! Had the roast beef and it was very good! Lobster bisque left a lot to be desired especially for a city like Tampa.

First time I went to Primose last year I was not pleased. I have since returned and you can’t get me out of that joint! Everything I have ordered has been sooo good. I am a foodie and this place has the best sandwiches, the best cuban coffe, the best chili, the best treats, the best salads… do I need to go on? I think it is just as easy to praise as it is to complain so I totally recommend this place to anyone that simply loves good fresh food. They dont skimp on the sandwiches either. The staff is the BEST! Always friendly and patient. You may have had other food, but if you haven’t tried Primo’s, you are missing out BIGTIME. Vee

The first time I came here I was an intern with USF’s Office of the General Counsel. We had an all day deposition at One Tampa City Center and one of the other lawyers I was working with suggested this place, stating it was a delicious, affordable, and close sandwich place that also makes wicked salads. This time around, I got to make the recommendation. I was at an all day continuing legal education with a group of lawyers at the Hilton. Knowing I was on top things with Unilocal, they asked me where to go for lunch. I did not even need the assistance of Unilocal, however, because I knew Primo’s was the solution to our hunger problems. The Arizona Salad is spectacular. I like chili and chips and salsa and guacamole, so mix that up in a salad with some jalepenos and yes pretty much my heart has been stolen. The Italian and roast beef both got rave comments from my friends. The meat was piled high, the lettuce was crisp, and eventually their stomachs were full. They were happy(but probably not as ecstatic as I was about my salad). The only complaint came from my fiancée. She got a BLT. Her bacon was not cooked as much as it should be and it was overly fatty. Probably just a bad batch of bacon, but it ruined her B and pretty much just left her with LT. Also, a friend if mine pointed out the drinks have too much ice, yet it melts to fast, oh the irony. We were outside and it was over 80 degrees, so that might help explain the issue. Nevertheless, PRIMO’S ISPRIMO! A great place to get lunch when you are working in the area. And the Arizona Salad is out of this world!

Great fresh and tasty sandwiches. Has that old school deli feel and very friendly staff. This is definitely one of my favorite sandwich places.

Primo’s hands down has the best Reuben in town! Reubens are my favorite sandwich and I have eaten a lot of them. Most places miss the mark. Primo’s lays on the meat and the combination of dressing and sauerkraut is just right. Their bread is even toasted to perfection. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their Reuben. They also have a killer strawberry banana smoothie that is deliciously sinful because it is made with frozen yogurt. Paired with the Reuben may put you in a euphoric state of bliss. No really!

Very nice little deli/fast-food shop on the ground floor of the municipal parking lot. Good assortment of breakfast items, soups, ice creams, froyo, and lots of sandwiches… from Cuban to Reuben to Meatballs to Keilbasa and several other ethnic/standards in between. Very reasonable prices and quick service early in the day before the lunch crunch.

Primo’s is a deli downtown. I’ve been here twice now, because they have a curry chicken salad that is unlike anything else I have downtown for lunch. I’ll admit it, I love it. I haven’t tried anything else here. It can get crowded at lunch, the line doesn’t move too quickly, and it seems like regulars get great service. I guess that’s the advantage to being a regular. The décor is average, nothing to write home about, but the location is great, there are plenty of outside seating areas to enjoy the fountains and trees and green space in the city. I will go again, for the curry chicken salad, I’m just not sure I will be tempted to try anything else.

Best deli in downtown. They have cuban sandwiches, regular deli sandwiches, frozen yogurt, and breakfast. They even have cuban coffee to get your day started. Friendly staff and owner. Cant beat their prices.
