Food is average bar food at best. The place is run by a corp that handles most military contracts, it’s a shame because most owner operators could do a much better job. I will say the view is awesome and the beer is cold.

I tried to eat here on a Wednesday. Got there at 3:53pm. Realized that they weren’t open for dinner until 4:00pm. I came back at 4:00 and waited until 4:10pm. Still closed. One of the employees walked by and saw me a couple of times but did not say anything or open the door. So I did not get to eat and left. Too bad for them.

First and foremost, this place in on MacDill AFB. So if you can’t get on base, you can’t get to Seascapes. If you can get on the base, you probably already know about Seascapes. Located all the way on the back end of the base, Seascapes offers a fairly small but pretty complete menu of salads, sandwiches, and a couple of platters. AND its right on the beach, with both indoor and outdoor seating. I was on MacDill for work, in a course being taught at the Navy Reserve Center right down the street from Seascapes, so we went for lunch all 4 days. Fish and chips, taco salad(a special a couple of the days), burgers, and sandwiches seemed to be the popular choices. I had the tuna melt twice, a salad and calamari one day, and fish tacos one day. All were quite tasty, and the prices were excellent. For a place that’s pretty much the only option without driving 20 minutes to the other end of the base, Seascapes is a win in my book.
