As awesome as the fig and prosciutto flatbread sounded, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Wished I’ve tried one of the other food truck vendors at a recent event in Downtown Tampa instead! However, this one sounded fresh, healthy and so gourmet. Huge mistake! And, at the price point of $ 12, I really couldn’t have been more disappointed. Literally ate two small pieces and trashed the rest away.

The Flattery offers some marvelous and creative flatbreads. Their dough is always wonderfully crisp and chewy. My favorite is called the Smack My Swine! It starts with a tasty white sauce and fontina cheese, and then adds sweet-n-spicy bacon, prosciutto, caramelized onions, and parmesan cheese! Can it get any better?! Oh, and we can’t forget the sauces — so good!

I recently had the opportunity to try out The Flattery. I went home thinking the truck was just called«Gourmet Flatbreads» because that’s the biggest thing in writing on the truck, but thanks to Unilocal I tracked down the real name. I tried out The Flattery at a food truck bazaar in front of the Fashion Square Mall. I was walking past the truck and was drawn in by some good tunes. While standing next to the truck I heard The Beach Boys and A-ha. Out of all the food trucks in the lot, I think The Flattery had the most creative and interesting choices. My boyfriend and I read the description for their Flatter-Me-Q flatbread. Suddenly, nothing else sounded any better. We were sure out of our hundreds of choices that’s what we wanted to try. The apple-coffee BBQ sauce was what really made it. You could taste the apple. It was the perfect mix of sweet and savory. Our flatbread was only $ 8. The service was quick and friendly. We will definitely track them down to eat with them again.

Had the opportunity to try out The Flattery during a recent Flicks and Food Trucks event in downtown Tampa. I went for the deconstructed burger(can’t remember the name, although their flatbread names are quite humorous and witty, which I appreciate). Lots of flavors! Had potential to be something great, but the BBQ sauce was way too overwhelming. My boyfriend ended up eating half of it, and he enjoyed it. I would give another flatbread a try if I have the opportunity to come across this truck again. The employees were friendly, and everything was very fresh.

Finally got to try the flat breads at the flattery and they did not disappoint. Everything on the menu sounded so good but the one that sold me was the«her name was chorizo» flat bread. It was DELECIOUS loaded with bacon, chorizo, Blue cheese and other meats if memory serves right. The bacon was amazing, one of the best pieces of bacon I’ve had in while. Crispy, sweet, smokey and savory. I highly recommend this flatbread it was perfect, everything worked together nicely and no ingredient over powered the other. Can’t wait to try more flatbreads!

I ordered the Flatter Me Q was DElicious! The perfect meld of cheese, maple, bbq sauce, and chicken. I wasn’t much in the mood for a flatbread but got one anyways. They did a great job with this particular flat bread. The notes of maple and the chicken melded well.

Every Friday we go to the food truck bazaar at RDV and every Friday since I tried them, I eat there again. Their flatbreads are A-MAZING. I’ve had the Truffle-Rita and the Say Cheese and both are heaven in your mouth. If you want to experience something delicious, eat here!

I visited The Flattery last night while it was parked outside of The Imperial. I saw it at the Winter Park Food Truck Stop this past Thursday and maybe even a time or two before that, but never tried any of the truck’s food until last night. I ordered the«Thai-My-Shoe» flatbread, which features plum sauce, chicken, Thai peanut sauce, scallions, cilantro, cucumbers and Chow Mein noodles(and perhaps more; I forgot to take a picture of the menu and now am unsure if I got all of the ingredients down on my phone). Anyone who knows me very well can attest to my love of Thai peanut sauce as well as Thai food, so I just had to order this flatbread.(There were at least two other very intriguing flatbreads on last night’s menu so, even though I ordered this one, the decision was pretty difficult.) It was excellent! The flatbread was crispy and the toppings were delicious. I already can’t wait to see this truck again so that I can try this flatbread a second time or try one of the others for the first. The Flattery is on both Facebook( ) and Twitter(@TheFlattery), so «like”/“follow» the truck at those two sites, respectively, for the latest. It does have a website but it doesn’t seem to be working at this time. Credit/debit cards are accepted, and each flatbread from last night’s menu was either $ 7 or $ 8.(Mine was $ 8.) It’s enough food for one person and is filling, though if you’re with someone or just are into sharing then you might consider ordering two different ones and having some of both. I may have to bring someone with me next time so that I can try more than one. For now, 4 stars … though this definitely has the potential to be bumped up to 5⁄5. I have to try it at least once more, and hopefully sooner rather than later.

The Flattery is a must try! I LOVED it! Fantastic! The owner is very creative with the menu and its obvious he takes a great deal of pride in his creations! I asked the owner how I could find out where they were going to be(yes i was THAT impressed) so that I can visit them again when they are in my area; where else? Facebook!

This is heaven on a nice vessel. Flatbreads are little pizza like rounds that carry various toppings. The menu is limited enough to be able to deliver a high level product. Although simplistic in nature the combinations are fresh and sophisticated. I tried their BBQ Flatbread, which was topped with Roasted Chicken, Roma Tomatoes, Onions, Mozzarella Cheese, and the famous Four Rivers BBQ sauce. The crust was nice and firm with good texture not too chewy, not too crispy. It carried the other ingredients marvelously. Four Rivers BBQ Sauce was true to its nice and flavorful character, the real deal. Excellent add to the food truck scene.
