A great late night stop after the seminole heights bars. Ive been here a handful of times and the food is delicious.

Very disappointing. Every time we are in Tampa we will go here for breakfast and always enjoyed the eggs Benedict they serve, but today was unbelievable. The hollandaise sauce was white which is usually yellow and had no taste even the waitress said it wasn’t right. She went to the chef and requested if he would make hollandaise sauce and he said what he served was hollandaise sauce. He needs to go back to school 1st year culinary ! The owner walked back-and-forth passed us asking every table however everything was but did not come near our table. I’m not a complainer so I didn’t call him over I figured if he approached us I would say something. Unfortunately he never did so that was our last visit. I’m sure it won’t matter losing a customer after all they’re so busy. I gave the three stars to our waitress she was very concerning and helpful. As far as the smart ass chef goes he’s should find a new career.

When it comes to diners, this place has it all. Its open late, its always packed with an interesting mix of characters, and the coffee comes with a quickness at just the right times. But that’s expected. Also what is expected is greasy, mediocre food. NOT the case here! This place has the BEST French toast I’ve ever had at a diner. And the grits are on point. I can really only comment on the breakfast because that’s what keeps me coming back here. My bf likes sandwiches, so he usually will get a club or a BLT which are jam packed with bacon goodness! Overall, the food quality is more than what you expected and the staff is courteous and attentive.

This is a fantastic hole in the wall diner and a flashback to my days in Jersey. i haven’t found another diner anything like this in Tampa so take full advantage if you’re in the area. Here are my thoughts: Pros: — Great food fast for all three meals. Nice large portions cheap — Comfortable environment and the food is consistent Cons: — It’s located in a pretty rough area so be careful at night

On our first visit here, we braced for a wait as it was Saturday morning… but we found a clean booth right away. I really can’t believe we’ve never been here before! Inside is a decent size with lots of tables that seat up to 4, plus a corner booth that seats more people, AND outdoor tables are plentiful. Our waitress was quick & friendly, and our breakfasts were delicious. The menu is so big that we needed extra time to decide! My daughter loved her eggs & French toast, and hubs & I both loved our omelettes. Even though we don’t live near Three Coins, I’m sure we’ll be back VERY soon.

Loves me some Three Coins Diner. The food is great the atmosphere is divey and home town and everyone is kind and helpful. No matter what time of day, Three Coins serves up a great breakfast with just about anything you could possibly think of. I love the waffles and I usually order a ham steak well done– they always make it just like I want it. Omelet’s are very tasty too! You really cannot go wrong with a divey diner. People watching is awesome as well. Good comes out quickly, always hot and delicious! If you haven’t tried Three Coins– give it a whirl, you’ll Be glad that you did!

Get gyro platter. You won’t be disappointed, it is a bargain for the money and it is delicious! I have tried a few salads here and they all were generous in size and very good. Fresh, a lot fresher than I’ve had other places so don’t expect that you can only get fried foods or platters here. They entire staff is friendly and you can tell they appreciate their customers.

It was a better world before a lot of things. The baseball cap on backwards, Rap, the Bowl Alliance. Your whole grain police hadn’t passed a law against any food that tastes good. Sausage and eggs weren’t a felony. A cheeseburger didn’t get you shot at. Hell, you can get arrested for food in your own home if you don’t register your low-fat mayonnaise. You ever had that? Why can’t we get some scientist on a government grant or something to get to the bottom of this? That stuff just don’t ruin good tuna fish, that crap will poison a whole city! Anyway, this is long overdue and I know I’m driving my friends crazy with all the 4:00AM checkins at this place, but it has honestly become my favorite spot in town for great and what might even be described as upscale diner food. I have made a full lap around the menu and everything, well almost, has been superb. The only thing that didn’t exceed my expectations we’re the cheese grits. I chuckle whenever I pull into the parking lot imagining the staff whispering to themselves…“On no, here comes the Cheese Grits Man!” LOL There is always a good crowd here, no matter what time of day. Its popular with both students and retirees, and that’s rare. The first time I came here I took one look at their expansive menu and thought«Well this can’t be any good.» I was wrong, its better than good, its incredible… and I don’t impress that easy. And BTW, save room for some of their homemade coconut cream pie, and remember me in your Will.

Great food for a great price. It’s a small, low key diner serving simple food that they are making fresh. The parking lot is awful, but there’s room. We both had the chocolate chip pancakes. They were fantastic! It’s easy to mess them up, but they were fluffy and had just the right amount of chocolate chips. Service was prompt and attentive.

Had a breakfast outing with my clients from HDC, Inc. We sat outside cause it was so crowded inside yes it was cold the guys including myself complained but, once the food arrived everyone was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. As usual the food was good & the service was good. They honored my request to add spinach to my omelette. I’ve never had a disappointing dining experience. I always tell my friends and share pics on social media… Thank You guys for always making us feel special.

Fantastic omelettes. Food is good and service is good too. Been coming to the Three Coins Restaurant for many years. What’s good about its open 24⁄7. Its a good local restaurant located on Nebraska Ave in Seminole Heights. I recommend this place to everyone.

Perfect for college students! Huge menu, they literally have everything(get the waffle Sunday). Huge portions and extremely affordable. Open 24⁄7 means getting a real meal instead of fast food at 3am when your crew has drunk munchies. The only downfall is the area is a little sketchy so be prepared to see some characters but there were almost always police dining there and the owner/staff are amazing.

First time I ate here was in 1995 and other than the staff, nothing’s changed. Great, inexpensive diner food ranging from breakfast to burgers, and the best part? They’re open 24⁄7. A lot of the food here looks and sounds great, but honestly, I’ve only had two items from the menu. The bacon, egg & cheese on Cuban bread and the home fries. The sandwich is simple, hot and delicious. Easily one of my late night favorites. As for the home fries, they’re good, but always a little bland. I find myself adding a sprinkle of salt & pepper to spruce them up, unlike the home fries at Pop & Son’s, which require no spice intervention. It’s not a deal breaker to doctor them up a bit though. A Tampa classic. I’ve stopped in here so many times. It’s odd that I’ve never given them a review. I find them best for late night bites and cups of coffee, when you want to linger with the person you’re with, but don’t want to deal with Denney’s or Village Inn. Their food is damned good, and the waitresses work hard to get you what you want.

I was looking for a place to eat since my first few options in Seminole Heights were closed on a Monday night. So a friend and I ended up meeting at Three Coins Diner which is open 24⁄7. It was pretty much what I expected walking into a diner in this gritty area. But we decided to test it out… The menu is pretty extensive so it took me awhile to decide on what to get and I could sense the waitress was getting impatient. I ended up getting the French Toast Supreme, which came out in under 10 min. The French Toast was awesome! Fluffy and with a little glazed crisp on the outside. Topped it off by sprinkling cinnamon and confectionery sugar on the six pieces, poured syrup all over it and dipped my bites in the soft butter. So, so good! I’ll come back just for the French toast and maybe next time I’ll get fruit with it. Because unfortunately the meats under-impressed. The sausage links were so overcooked that they were basically inedible, really dry and hard inside although outward appearance looked fine. The two slices of bacon were fatty. The ham had good flavor but also had a big piece of fat awkwardly hanging off it(see picture). Almost looks like someone ate half of it. They should have just cut that part off. The eggs were cooked as I wanted, which doesn’t happen often when I go to restaurants so that was nice. Usually when I get my eggs«over hard», I still get a runny mess. If it wasn’t for the meats, I would give them 4 stars. The waitress was also attentive in refilling water and handing us the check. The prices here are also decent. The atmosphere in the diner was OK, a little rundown but pretty clean. It’s a place where you can hear conversations at every table. Speaking of the tables, they’ll be replacing them soon so that should help with the aesthetics. 3 stars for 3 Coins because it’s A-OK. But most likely I’ll bump them up to 4 stars next time if everything is on point.

Came here again after the movies for a late night breakfast treat. Wanted something sweet so I ordered chocolate chip pancakes with a side of eggs. The pancakes were big and just enough chocolate chips to satisfy my craving and big appetite. It was pretty busy it was 9:30pm on a Friday night. Food pre gaming food and several police were there eating a meal too. Fast and friendly service. Nice and clean seat yourself. I would come back here again from my breakfast craving.

Who is awake at 4 in the morning? A lot of us apparently. I have found my people– my nighthawks of Tampa. It was mostly young adults and a slew of cops congregating for some good eats. There were some young couples, a group of friends, partners in justice, and loners like me. To know this place is patroned by cops also helps you feel a bit more secure about this ungodly hour. On to the service, I arrived just at the tail end of a rush. At 4 in the morning there was a rush?! Yes. I sat myself down and my waitress signaled she had noticed me arrive though busy. She made me feel very comfortable and later apologized that my water didn’t come early enough. Excellent service. Food was quite good. I got the french toast deluxe. Very simple preparation, but well executed. Bacon was perfectly crispy, canadian ham was just right. French toast was textbook. Not fancy, but practiced and perfected. On food alone I would give it 4 stars for quality with the price. Now considering they offer this when the city is asleep, this is one of the best meals you can get at 3−4am in tampa. That they have such a unique atmosphere and energy when the world is asleep, this was a special experience. I felt as if I walked into a different existence and was instantly in love. 5 stars!

What a cool place in the Seminole Heights area. I was there before 7AM for breakfast. The restaurant had many customers. The staff seemed very confident, like they had worked their for many years. Our waitress was great. She was prompt to address our table, take our order & be very agressive with refilling coffee. Breakfast eggs were cooked perfectly. Toast could have had more of a toast on it & margerine, butter or jelly offered could have been present. The bacon, 3 slices were crisp & good. I usually opt for the hashbrowns, which are not usually my choice, but they were sliced across, cooked quite well & seasoned perfectly. My friend got grits that werevperfect. My eggs were over medium, his over easy & both were perfectly cooked. Food wise, except for the toast needing more butter & more toasting, I would recommend the rye toast. I was really suprised, with them being relatively skow, how long it took to get our food. Don’t get me wrong, the food was really good. It took about 20 minutes from ordering to receiving the food, maybe longer, way too long. What’s a girl to do? No complaints about the food, just the wait time.

Did you say«Three Coins Diner?» I AMSOINNNNN!!! After church last Sunday, My sisters and I were in dire need of a good brunch but were unsure of where to go. So of course, we consulted Unilocal and found Three Coins Diner. What a wonderful choice! Parking is limited so keep this in mind. The diner is an older establishments so don’t expect anything fancy smancy as far as décor. They’re open 24 hours so all you night owls feel free to stop in. They have a extensive menu offering a variety of different meals to choose from. We went for breakfast, but I had my eyes on every plate that a waitress walked past our table and everything looked good! Okay, so I ordered the vegetarian omelet with a side of French toast. The omelet came with onions, peppers, mushrooms, spinach and tomatoes. I nixed the tomatoes and added cheese. The omelet was really big and was served with home fries and a choice of bread. I chose the biscuit. After adding a little salt and pepper, everything was great! The vegetables used in the omelet tasted fresh and potatoes were really good. The biscuit was just how I like, a little crumbly and good with syrup. I also had a piece of French toast(don’t judge, lol). It was PERFECT! Im not usually a big French toast person but strangely I had the urge for it on this day. I’m sooo glad I followed the urge. I’d definitely order the French toast again… I’d order this whole meal again honestly :) So needless to say, this place gets two thumbs up from me and if you’re ever in the area I recommend stopping in.

Soooo gooood! While looking for some home cooked breakfast once again Unilocal came to the rescue! With a 4 star rating and 81 reviews this place was a must try. TCD is super cute. Located right on the Nebraska strip TCD is an older establishment who’s food compliments its decorum. This place is a win-win. Not only is the food good and full of flavor but it’s inexpensive. I ordered the Feta cheese & spinach omelet(add mushrooms, onion and bacon) which came with home fries and a biscuit. I also ordered a cup of coffee. The omelet was GREAT! It was a large portion and all of the veggies were fresh. I wish the feta cheese was broken up a little more but they gave me my monies worth. I noticed they don’t cook their home fries as hard as I would like so I probably could have mentioned it to the waitress after previewing the pics but they were still good — but I would add some more seasoning too. My biscuit was warm and fluffy. I wish it was a little more yeasty. Every time I picked it up it fell apart which made eating it a little difficult but still good! My coffee was fresh brewed. I prefer a stronger blend but it took care of my craving. The staff is very attentive. They are constantly refilling drinks and checking on you. Parking is limited here so make sure you get there before rush begins. I was excited to see they are open 24⁄7 and I really want to come back for a late night visit. I had a fulfilling meal for only $ 11.19 can’t ask for more than that! Unilocaling is my life!!!
