Been here a few times now and have always had a great experience. Omelettes and pancakes are both excellent. I’ve been told they have wonderful Jamaican and Caribbean food but have yet to try it for myself. It’s the only diner in the neighborhood, but still an excellent spot for good, cheap food and service with a smile!

Was a little skeptical considering the location — BUT have to admit that they completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the chicken wrap which was extremely tasty and was pleasantly surprised to get a side order of wonderful macaroni salad as well! The staff was very friendly and greeted me as soon as I came in. Will definitely recommend this place!

Unilocal strikes again! If it wasn’t for Unilocal and New Years Day having the majority of local places closed for breakfast this awesome little place would have gone unnoticed. DH and I rode our bikes to Channelside in search of our first meal in 2016 and we’re not disappointed. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, gas station restaurant location, but we were pleasantly surprised by the service and food once we took our window seats inside. They’re looked to also be a back patio with outdoor seating which we will probably try next time. DH had the spinach, feta, tomato omelette with cheese grits and I opted for a make my own mushroom and sausage omelette with hash browns. Both were super yummy and what I really liked was that these are 2 egg omelette’s, but felt like three eggers. Oh and thee juice… You get a full glass, not a measly little juice glass. Great find and start to 2016, we’ll be back for breakfast or lunch or both!

This place is always friendly when I came in this morning was in a hurry. I happened to be there as I needed to buy boiled eggs for my kids science project and the owner was so nice he was able to accommodate us. I have on other occasions enjoyed their jerk chicken and huge salads. I was surprised as to how good the food here is, and I’m so glad I found a place to enjoy authentic Jamaican food!

Zelda’s for lunch, mostly because it was within walking distance of the office. A little busy when I arrived, the waitress had to wipe down the table for me. A couple of the other tables still had their checks on them and some dirty plates. I opted for the chicken salad sandwich. Well stuffed with chicken, on toasted marble rye with lettuce and tomato. A little heavy on the mayo and the chicken seemed to be more dark meat than white, but it was tasty. The macaroni salad on the side was pretty good. They also offer a full breakfast menu.

I live fairly close to Zelda’s and it had a few good reviews. I agree with them. It is attached to a gas station but once inside the atmosphere isn’t bad. The food was great. They serve breakfast and lunch. I had a very good cuban sandwich and my wife enjoyed her sandwiche too. The price was reasonable and the service was very good. I would definitely go back.

Had a terrible experience here when I was traveling to Tampa for work. That week I was cutting weight for a powerlifting meet over the weekend so I had to be very careful about my diet. I walked into Zelda’s and asked for a chicken salad with dressing on the side, explaining the necessity of the request as I was cutting weight for a competition. Lo and behold, my salad is delivered to my table, heavily drenched in Italian dressing. I asked the waitress to please bring me another salad with dressing on the side. She asked me what dressing would I like that to be, so I asked for blue cheese. She takes my salad from me, and I spend a few minutes drinking my coffee, eagerly anticipating the salad that would fit my dietary requirements for that particular week. The salad comes out, and it looks a little bit less heavily drenched in the same yellow-orange Italian dressing, as if someone had taken a hand towel and dabbed it in the kitchen, along with a cup of blue cheese dressing on the side. I grumbled and complained again, and the waitress shrugged and responded, helplessly, «Sorry, that’s just how they do it,» with an «Oops!» kind of expression. I was not happy and just sifted through the drenched salad to find the few pieces of chicken on there. I left hungry and angry I paid more than $ 10 for such an experience.

Food was great — really good pressed Cuban sandwich. Inexpensive with good size portions. Seems like it wasn’t very busy because the area doesn’t get much traffic.

The staff here is always very friendly and the food is pretty good! I’ve tried both breakfast and dinner here, and both have been great. The restaurant can be pretty empty so it’s easy to get a table(especially for dinner during the week). The dinner specials are hot and tasty. Reminds me of a cute little diner that you might see on Diners, Drive ins, and Dives.

They have a patio so you can relax with your dogs while you enjoy a great breakfast! Very friendly people, consistent service and delicious food. I’ve been for both breakfast and lunch and always get a great meal at a good value. Yes, it is in the back of a gas station but this place really does have great food and great prices.

Well I would give this place 3 or 4 stars but I found a hair in my food. I ordered an Italian and the sandwich was pretty good. They use good ingredients but I felt it was more Spanish than Italian. The ingredients definitely go better in a Cuban. The menu consists of breakfast items, sandwiches, and dinner items. The sandwich was not bad. The serving sizes are good but I expected cheaper for gas station food The décor is really bad. It was purely renovated but very clean. They need to redo their bathroom which they share with the gas station. Being a gas station bathroom it is usually surprisingly clean Staff is nice but they better wear a hair net next time. To be honest, I wasn’t too grossed out but it is still unacceptable.

I haven’t had lunch there yet, but the breakfast is good. Great for a quick stop-in. It’s attached to a gas station, but isn’t gas station food. The server I had was very sweet too.

I don’t care what anyone says, for«gas station food» this place is on point. Technically it isn’t gas station food, it’s just attached to one. Great breakfast for sure.

I’d say this place is definitely misleading from the outside. It’s attached to a gas station yes, but their breakfast was awesome. I got a western omelet, grits, toast and a small cup of fruit for only $ 8. No crazy crowds, although they can definitely get busy. It’s my new favorite breakfast spot. I’ve had a turkey club their for lunch before also and it was huge! Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area. Don’t let the look outside deter you.

I had the Greek Salad and my friend ordered the Steak Wrap. Both were tasteless and left us immediately seeking out other food as soon as we left. The waitress was sweet, that is about the only good thing I can say. It was not cheap either. The peppers on the salad tasted rotten.

Love this place! Great breakfasts. Generous portions! Lunch menu is surprisingly diverse. Super reasonable prices as well– prob the only place left where two people can get generous meals for under 20 dollars.

I had the Reuben and macaroni salad with a cup of the house soup. The portions were large enough to share and the meal was delicious! Service was good and the outside patio is a nice ambiance although the surrounding scenery is not too pretty.

Albeit attached to a gas station near channelside, Zelda’s is worth stopping in for their Jamaican theme home cooking. Well worth a try!

Good effort Friendly people Subpar breakfast I stopped by here for a quick, casual breakfast and left wanting. I had the spinach, tomato, and feta omelet with a side of cheese grits. Somehow, virtually everything just tasted sour and unappealing. Our waitress was nice, but it was slow when we were there and I still waited long periods between coffee refills, which always bugs me. The prices weren’t high per se, but were high for what we got. Don’t be scared off by the fact that its attached to a BP gas station — but maybe your hopes shouldn’t be that high for this establishment anyway. Likely worth rambling on to other local spots for breakfast.
