Great tasting food, large portions and reasonable prices. They tend to be very slow, and are often out of things, so I recommend calling ahead. If they say twenty minutes, you can usually add fifteen to that, but it’s worth the wait! The dining area is small, the kitchen looks a little dingy, and the building is bright green, but don’t let that deter you. We’ve heard they have good pizza, but we’ve never tried it. The co-owner is a little gruff, but Kelli is super sweet and her staff is always friendly.

One of the few places in the area for ice cream. Rosie’s up the road has Gifford’s Ice Cream plus Hood soft serve and Kelli’s Place has Shain’s of Maine Ice Cream. I like Gifford’s and Shain’s, with a small preference towards Shain’s. I came here on a muggy night and got my Shain’s ice cream fix. However, Rosie’s has a bigger selection of ice cream treats than here. Order from the outside windows for ice cream. For regular food, go inside and order from the counter, inside seating too. The menu offerings include sandwiches, subs, salads, pasta, and pizza at reasonable prices. The meats come from the Danvers Butchery. I returned here the next day and got a Junior Roast Beef Sandwich with BBQ and horseradish. The sandwich was pretty good and messy, served on a toasted soft roll, with thinly sliced rare roast beef. The service was quick. 3.5STARS
