Nice place, good food. A block off the strip means there are tables available when wait times elsewhere are 45 minutes. They should hire someone to stand on the main road with a plate of calamari samplers directing people here at the dinner hour when everywhere else in Tarpon is rammed with a 30 – 60 minute wait. Could bring a lot more business their way! Had the greek salad, shrimp Alexander and clam chowder which were superb. The chicken souvlaki was also great though I was hoping for a nice greek rice pilaf on the side it was just steamed white rice. Overall, I’d recommend eating there.

Good fresh food. Not a fan of the calamari but the soup, seafood ‘lasagna’, shrimp pasta were excellent. Key lime pie delicious!

Best seafood experience. Try the kicked up shrimp. Tiffani and Juan made our dining explode. As a NOLAGIRL I’m impressed and that’s not an easy task. Love this place and we wish we lived closer so we could come more often.

3 Stars for the shrimp and Horiatiki salad The 1 lb of shrimp were delicious and big for $ 15. The horiatiki salad had huge chunks of feta and fresh veggies. The beer is very reasonably price and always ice cold as well. We haven’t been to the«new”/old location so we’ll check that out the next time we’re in Tarpon Springs.

A haiku. Is that a cockroach? Questionable food. Skunk drinks. Tarpon has better.

Outstanding food and service. The fish and chips on the childrens’ menu were a hit with that discerning crowd, and we all loved the peel and eat shrimp. The first order was delivered deveined, which we had not ordered nor did we know that was an option, so when we ordered more shrimp we specified the deveined variety. That was a couple of dollars more, but well worth it. This meal was what I remembered from the 80’s when I was visiting the area. I went back after I moved down here in 2001 and the food just was not the same. With the new management, it is back to what I remembered — don’t miss it. It’s great and the staff is great.

This place is amazing! I love the old school, casual décor and the fact there are no lines. The peel and eat shrimp is really the best! So fresh, sweet and juicy. It is better than other peel and eats in the immediate area. The grouper is so fresh and the side sauces like the tartar and the cocktail sauce are clearly home made and just right. The service was fast, courteous and really helpful and to top it off the chef came and chatted to us at our table and told us about the fish and how he does everything. Perfect for kids and an informal fun lunch or dinner. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m here!

This is a pre-diner review. No craft beers. Try to find a restaurant without craft beers and you’d be hard pressed. We are visiting from Colorado and every single place has at least a handful of micros. People will come to places just for a beer and app but not for a bud light or other crappy brew. Get some micros.

I am SO glad they are back at their old location! We have been coming to Paul’s since before we moved to FL, 20 years ago. I love Paul’s! Order a Greek salad and pound of shrimp to share.

This roach-infested hell hole probably did once stand great as a restaurant in the 40s, but that seems to be where time has stood still. With limited menu items my most often stated words were«I’m sorry we’re out of that item» every shift I worked for the 2 weeks I spent in this place. Every time I swiped a credit card a small roach would come crawling from under neath the machine, and there had been a fruit fly problem for who knows how long before I got there. Deplorable establishment. Go ahead and eat there, at your own risk.

Let me preface this review by saying I am not a shrimp fan. At least, I wasn’t… until I came to Paul’s.Turns out I’ve just been a picky shrimp eater this whole time. This is the BEST place to get shrimp! Fresh off the boat, cooked perfectly, meaty and warm, not chewy in the slightest. I can’t believe how much I enjoyed it! The pickled octopus is a treat as well. Good Greek salad, too. Minus one star for far less than stellar service.

A very pleasant surprise! The décor is a bit dated and the night we were there it seemed oddly slow, usually a bad sign of things to come. I am happy to say every dish we ordered was excellent. Don’t wait an hour and a half at some other joint down the street, stop in here and enjoy yourself. If you can find a place to park…

Place is not fancy at all, but this is what Tarpon is. A great place with character. No chains or franchises here. Original and unique places like this one. Great place to have Seafood. Good service. We really liked the clam chowder and for dessert we had warm Baklava with Ice Cream. Great shopping in the area check out the sponge exchange shopping center across the street.

Decent place but not what I expected given their reviews. Very limited menu, no fresh oysters. There r better places in Tarpon.

Decided to try a new place and take a risk. Took the family(party of 5) here and was NOT disappointed! We all had something different-I had the fried combo of cod, shrimp and scallops. scallops were HUGE and tasty, shrimp was awesome!!! The cod was ok but I was glad I order’d it although its a lot of breading but it was terrific. The fries and slaw were just ok but the star was the shrimp n scallops. wow! We had a terrific server, very happy with the service. Other people at our table had the Mahi and Grouper and Shrimp-some seared, some blackened etc. Everyone was very satisfied-the food was fresh and very delicious. DEFINATELY will go back!!! Prices were very very reasonable.

This is a great place to get seafood– Especially the you-peel shrimp, which is what they are known for. Simple, steamed in some ‘secret’ spices– BIGANDMEATY. Always great. I was introduced to this place by my realtor when I first moved to Tarpon springs years ago, at the time they were in the old location. We have since moved out of the area, but when we come down to visit, we make it a point to stop in and get some shrimp. I’ve had a few other things off the menu, but the SHRIMP are what we come here for… Some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The new location seems smaller, and looks a little dumpy from the outside. But, the food is great. Parking can be a little bit of an issue, but that goes for most businesses here, it’s a tourist town, and parking is at a premium, most of it is paid.

Paul’s is an excellent choice for seafood. Love the Coconut shrimp and the oysters. Also ask for the smoked fish spread. Not on the menu but we love it. Parking is a bit of an issue, but its worth the trouble.
