Ilda’s Salon and Spa

This is my second cut with Bella and I have not had a «bad hair day» since. I’m about to book my third. I’m hooked! It’s a little more than I wanted to pay and I miss the red wine and snacks my previous salon offered during my process, but this is truly a top-​notch establishment. Ilda runs a tight ship, the place is immaculate, everyone is friendly. Sara, her sister, handles the spa end of things & she is just the sweetest thing ever, such a pleasure, truly. Complete facial services and an amazing job with make-​up. She uses Motives mineral cosmetics to create a flawless, custom color-​match foundations in pure liquid or powder minerals. You cannot buy this in stores, she has a sharp eye for color & the photo effect is incredible! I would especially highly recommend this charming & chic salon for bridal parties or anybody with a special event coming up. You’ll be hooked, too!

This salon may look like a charming cozy house on the outside, but inside is nothing short of NYC top salon talent. Space is a little limited, but they really made it work with the way it’s set up. Everyone is amazing at their job at this place. Bella has been doing my hair since 2008 when a friend brought me there for an emergency color correction consult. After being traumatized by another stylist, Bella earned my trust by listening to me, and accommodating my many many concerns. My whole life I have had thin, fine hair, and it’s always been kind of blah when it wasn’t falling out or growing back. For the first time in my life, I now love my hair. I owe it to Bella. My hair has never been more healthy, full, LONG, and vibrant. I sometimes feel my hair is an accessory instead of a headache. Bella really takes the whole client and their preference into account when she formulates a plan. She is somewhere between a scientist and an artist. I highly recommend her, or any of the other stylists @ ildas.

I just got a Keratin Express Blow out at Ilda’s with Bella. Fantastic. It took a little over an hour, but I have long hair. I was able to wash my hair the next day. And, if you color your hair it’s okay to get both done on the same day. You must get this for yourself. Almost all of your frizz will be gone — it will cut your blow-​drying time in half. I feel like I just the the salon every day. Treat yourself — it’s not too pricey. Thank you, Bella!

This salon is full of charm and character that one appreciates in a small-​town salon. It is not pretentious or aloof, but instead cozy and warm… Literally, as a beautiful stone fireplace takes the centerstage in the main room. Their appointment scheduling is pretty efficient, as you’re never really waiting to be seen. As a customer of Bella’s from another salon, I can say that this place is my new go-​to salon for great care and genuine hospitality. Bella listens to each client’s requests and really gets to know them before she starts cutting, which is very important. She also stays current in all the new trends and trainings.
