Tatiana Day Spa

I stayed at the new Marriott for business and Micheal at the desk recommended Tatiana Day Spa. I had a basic manicure. The staff was friendly and attentive and although I had had a basic service, they made me feel very special. I will definitely return to the Spa if I am here on business. The next time I will plan ahead and book more of the services they offer. There was a discount for hotel guests.

I used to come here when it was Eva Sweden and was still here not long after it changed names. (Then I moved from NY to TX.)
Back then, I never knew this place existed, until a friend gave me a discount package that included a haircut, facial and massage. The place was the «spa» in the Tarrytown Marriott. It was extremely no frills and décor-​wise, hadn’t been updated in ages. (Not sure how it looks now– so no comment on that). The other services were great, but Raquel had me hooked when she did my hair– so that’s what this review is about… not décor, the other services, just my former hair stylist.
I felt so lucky I found Raquel– she is a hidden gem. I loved how she cut my hair on my initial visit, then I returned again to get my cuts /​highlights done by her. WOW. She amazed me with how well she understood what I wanted, her skill, beautiful results, and ease and speed in which she had me in and out. «Hey,» she said, «I just love what I do.» I was a regular customer for many years before moving and she was consistently awesome every time.
The prices were very reasonable and less than what I’d paid in the past. She spoiled me and set the bar high. Better than anywhere I’ve ever had my hair done before her, even much pricier places. One of the things I really miss about New York :)
