I’m always impressed by the freshness of ingredients, especially the vegs. Try the steamed green beans flavored with scallions and ginger. It’s a wow. So is the bok choy with chicken, and the General Tso’s chicken. Delivery is always prompt and the staff is very friendly. Best Chinese food in the area.

Buyer be aware: my husband brought it to my attention and it was confirmed 5 minutes ago. Be careful when you order, they like to charge you for multiple orders. When you tell them you only ordered one order they get angry and yell, all while claiming you didn’t. Just happened to me the third time and I cancelled my order. Their food is NOTTHATGREAT to pay that much. Also, a few years back my brother ordered food and was cut in in his mouth by a sharp object. Again, instead of apologizing he was yelling. A few days later, he called back and apologized. He found that it came off of one of the pans and offered him a few free meals. My brother said, no thanks and never went back. I will take his advice.

Food is very authentic here. I should know, I’m from Taiwan. Try the seafood noodle soup. It’s my favorite.

The food here is probably the best bang for your buck when it comes to Chinese food in westchester. They always use fresh vegetables and proteins and customize your order to your liking.

I moved here from NYC and I realized that I’ve been spoiled due to all the choices of good cuisine. I’ve yet to find a Chinese restaurant in the area that I would return to. Most of them have been mediocre, at best. I was referred to Taste of China by some neighbors. I grew up eating food from those«downstairs» restaurants in Chinatown and consider myself to be a expert in Chinese cuisine, so when I heard about this place I was really excited. The food was some of the worst chinese food that I’ve ever had. It had an almost gourmet look about it, which is not what I was looking for, and the taste was far from authentic. In fact, it was pretty awful. BTW they had some of the worst tasting dumplings that I’ve ever had.

Just picked up an order with: noticeably/disconcertingly undercooked chicken and undercooked beef; hair in veggies.

Probably the best Chinese take out place in Westchester. General Tso combo dish was top notch. Had the house soup also. They put a more tasty twist on certain dishes that other Chinese places mail in. I need to try more on the menu, but this place is a gem.

Terrible delivery service and they lie when you call to inquire about your order. 1st call, 1 hour after order was placed, I was told the food was on its way. 2nd call, 90 mins after order was placed, I was again told it was on its way. I live less than 1 mile from this restaurant. The food is not worth the wait. Inexcusable! I will never order from them again.

Without exaggeration the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Staff is polite and courteous, and the service is fast. I’m not sure how anyone has given this place less than 4 – 5 stars. Perhaps they’ve accidentally reviewed the wrong place.

Probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever tasted. Order hot and sour soup, boneless ribs, spicy tofu. Hot and sour soup– no flavour, nor any hint of hot or sour anything Boneless ribs– yes bone less, but replaced with gristle. Spicy tofu– resembled a cookery mishap… slop! I threw away 98% of what I ordered

Really good food and service. Had the sesame chicken, pork dumplings and mango bubble tea — all were great. Would definitely go again.

Finally I found the perfect egg rolls. I know this sounds like a simple thing but in my experience, if they know how to make egg rolls then the food will be good. And so it was. Had the crispy chicken combo and asked for some broccoli added to give it some veggies. Perfect blend of spicy and a little sweetness in the sauce. They also offer homemade hot mustard which will clear the sinuses. Love it! They have a variety of Asian cuisines from China so the options are endless. It’s more than your typical Chinese takeout place. It also has a patio space with tables in front of the store. Will definitely come back.

Ordered pickup and delivery to sleepy hollow– never a long wait, prompt delivery! Food is good, I like em super spicy so sometimes it could be a bit hotter for my taste. Only thing is that I get that yellow«fried» rice, I’m used to soy sauce fried rice. Seems I can’t escape it unless I got back home home.

This place was recommended by my hotel, and was a pleasant surprise. My wife is Chinese(and a cook herself) who knows authentic Chinese food. The food here is authentic, and seems to have a steady stream of repeat customers, who also seem to be on warm terms with the friendly staff. I recommend it, and we’re going back during our stay in Tarrytown.

The food here is excellent, for the price and quality this place can’t be beat. 4 stars because it’s off street parking and at times you have to park a distance away.

Typical Chinese food with loads of sauce and MSG makes the the food at Taste of China fantastic. I personally would ask them to hold the MSG, and go easy on the sauces If you are on a diet or looking for authentic chines fare, travel to Flushing, Queens or Manhattan. would i go here again yes if im craving chines food and need something fast and convenient. Service and prices are fair. so I rate this restaurant a solid 3 stars.

Having just moved to Tarrytown I was excited to try the top-rated Chinese place. This I did. But now I have to be the lone wolf asshole because I simply can’t get on board with the crowd here. Seriously– I don’t understand the hype. I think this might be(IS– I’m being polite) a case of small town loyalty– mostly because Taste of China is the«best» of a small handful of terrible Chinese options. The location off the main drag is nice and there is a small outdoor seating option… but the service and the food… yiiiikes. There are what some might consider waitstaff here, but they don’t really take your order… or notify you of that. or pay attention to you… or make eye contact… or really do anything that a traditional waitstaff does. We eventually figured we’d go inside and just order at the counter. Interesting side note: on a sunny day, the majority of tables inside were covered with mysteriously soaking wet menus laid out to dry adding to the«what the f*ck factor». Ours was a small order, but everyone around us was served and/or tromped inside impatiently to demand their own orders at the counter long before us(«service» seemed random and according to the whims of the universe). The young girl at the counter was wholly confused and partially disinterested. A tiny, scowling old Chinese woman scrabbled through now and again like a disgruntled bridge troll with no particular inclination to help or expedite operations. Eventually the food was brought to us piecemeal after we asked what the hell was going on. It was just odd. The whole time I felt like I must be doing something wrong… but I think it was just a giant clusterf*ck by nature. After all that, the food was below average. Fatty, gristly meat bits in the Chicken with Cashews was served with some weird flavored yellow fried rice containing paltry, miniscule slivers of pork. The Sesame Chicken was a small dish of tough, rubbery, overly salted morsels in a, for lack of a more civilized term, spoogy, gelatinous red sauce. The hot and sour soup was admittedly delicious, but not nearly good enough to salvage the experience. I left questioning myself, then quickly regained my confidence and began questioning the collective palate of the townsfolk. I don’t get it. Any of it.

I wanted to spend less than $ 20 for 2 people. I ordered the ‘vegetable chow fun’ and it was doused in soy sauce and oil as you can see it dripping off the noodles. I’m Chinese and chow fun is one of my favorite dishes. I figured this place would be good as it was packed with asain people. My husband ordered general tso’s chicken and it was decent for him. We didn’t look at the prices as we were really tired and we weren’t ordering anything crazy and out of the ordinary. When I got the bill, my reaction was«$ 14 for general tso’s??? seriously???» Ridiculous! Also, the service was massively annoying. One of the workers asked us if we were ready and I kid you not — 30 seconds later, she asked us again!

Everything tasted bad. Not gonna order from here again. Sorry, but it is VERY difficult to find good Chinese in Westchester County. Go to Lum Yen or Hunan Larchmont or Ray’s. Update: not only did everything suck, but this food put me and my boyfriend into 12 hour comas with outrageous nightmares from the ungodly amount of MSG that’s gotta be in that food. In sum: «New Kids On The Block had a bunch of hits and Chinese food makes me sick»
