I love dumplings and am always looking for good ones. Youngs dumplings have a weird taste. If you watch the sushi guy make rolls it’s pretty gross to see that the nori is kept in an old, filthy metal box. Next time you’re there look for the filthy box. It’s behind the glass counter. The people there are nice, but the food is so– so and for obvious reasons, I would never eat the sushi

This is one of the best Chinese take-out places I’ve been to in Westchester! Everyone is super friendly and the food always hits the spot! My favorites are the wonton soup, chicken & broccoli, and their mei fun. The sushi is pretty good as well– big fan of the spicy tuna and shrimp tempura rolls.

Very good Wonton Soup. Terrible White Meat Chicken. I ordered General Tso’s white meat chicken lunch combo. The sauce and rice are standard, totally acceptable good/bad Chinese food. The pieces of meat were soggy and did not resemble in sight, texture or taste, any chicken I’ve ever seen. I paid extra to recognize the meat and this stuff is an unpleasant mystery.

Meh. I’ve eaten here twice and the first time(General Tso’s chicken) was pretty good — 3 stars. Second time — 2 stars(Kung Poa chicken). Went with a 3 star rating though because the portions are large and the staff was nice. However, warning — I like spicy food and both meals were bland.

Every time I interact with any person from this establishment they are extremely rude and act as thought even the tiniest morsel of their time couldn’t be spent perhaps clarifying an order or price. Also their«sushi» was a very unpleasant mushy mess that I couldn’t even eat.

This is my place to go on lunch breaks! There sushi is amazing(omg they make a chicken tempura roll to die for). The place is very clean for the most part and they get a lot of foot traffic during lunch hours but they will complete your order in record fast time. I love Chinese and just started eating sushi recently and this place has the best of both. I have not had a bad experience yet and I go there on a weekly basis.

I’m not Jewish, but I came here on Christmas Eve anyway to experience Jewish culture. Not bad. I think I’m over thinking I’ll be blown away by Chinese food. Really, it’s either pretty good or pretty terrible. Most of that probably depends on salt, anyway. But yes– the General Gau’s was tasty and offered with an «all white meat» option which, if you aren’t into chicken anuses is pretty fantastic. If you are into chicken anuses, PM me– we’ll party. The Hot and Sour soup was meh, but the wonton soup was great with giant, pork-filled pouches of goodness. The fried rice was… fried rice. That seems like a useless statement, but rice is edible and often delicious. At many Chinese places neither of these hold true. I still haven’t tried the sushi and probably won’t. Chinese restaurants serving sushi just perpetuates the ignorant view that all Asians are the same and I need to stand for something. Actually, I just don’t trust raw fish from a tiny Chinese joint in a strip mall. I wanted to sound principled. But don’t let that stop you.

I never write reviews but I find it absolutely necessary today. Young’s Chinese Sushi restaurant in Tarrytown is HORRIBLE for one reason and one reason only… the woman that answers the telephone there. She is terribly rude every time we order from the restaurant. This last time, she actually barked at me because I couldn’t understand whether she said steamed or fried. I know that sounds silly, but if you heard her, you would understand. Our family orders Chinese food about 1 or 2 times a month… never again from Young’s. There are other alternatives in Tarrytown and when you call the other restaurants they are well spoken and gracious on the telephone. I have spoken to this woman at Young’s a number of times and I kept chalking her tasteless behavior up to her having a bad day… but tonight was the last straw. I strongly suggest not ordering food from Young’s…you will only get off the phone feeling mistreated and foolish for giving them your money.

I stumbled upon the place today because it was the first place I saw while in town for a conference. It’s easily the best Chinese food anywhere around. I was floored by how good it was, really. The service was lightning fast and friendly. The food was piping hot, fresh and delicious. I live close enough that I will actually go back to Tarrytown just to eat here.

I love this place. I order from them all the time and it’s really good Chinese. I ordered a big amount of food once and they threw in a free California roll. Certainly will be eating there again.

Good food, quick service, lots of choices. Everyone is usually pretty friendly except for younger woman that works the register. Wish they had real boneless chicken like red flower on 241st in the Bronx.

After living nearby for 2 years, I guess I have come around to Youngs. I would still urge people to avoid the sushi, but their Chinese menu is pretty good. I have gotten delivery a few times when I have been too lazy to walk down to Taste of China, and while I don’t think that it is better, it’s still good. One plus is that it is located in a shopping center with ample parking, so if you are driving to pick up food it has an advantage there.

We were refugees from hurricane Sandy forced to relocate to a hotel nearby. We saw that there were more or less favorable reviews for this place and they deliver so we ordered. The food is about the worst Asian/Chinese I have ever eaten. It was amazing to me that in the NY suburbs where you kind of expect a certain minimum standard for Chinese take out that this place is even in business. It was edible; we ate it because we were hungry but I would advise that you look elsewhere.

I’m not too familiar with the other places nearby, but the takeout I had here was barely passable. I got the seafood chow fun. The seafood consisted mostly of crab sticks, a few pieces of squid, shrimp, and maybe two tiny scallops. The noodles were kinda soggy too. I normally never add soy sauce to chinese food, but this kinda needed it for flavor, which is was lacking. When I walked in late on a Sunday night, the place smelled strongly like bleach, not an appetizing smell to say the least.

Starving says my stomach– well more like angry loud growling that warranted an unplanned exit from the freeway to find some place nearby where i could satiate and placate. Quick park and spot this place. Decent Unilocal reviews which is encouraging. Step in and see slightly faded pictures of various Chinese dishes and an über cheese sauce pic for the sushi(geisha with umbrella included in pic!). But it looks clean and the servers seem friendly. Hubs and I grab me menus and peruse. For 6.25, lunch specials abound. We finally decide on the chicken with Bok Choy for him and the mixed veggies for me. We also both opt for the pork fried rice that comes with the meal(choice of fried or brown rice included). Wow! evyerhitn comes out tasting delicious and flavorful! surprisingly good-and my husband manages to enjoy his veggies! the fried rice was oily, as expected but not overly greasy. Overall, we got quick service and delicious food. Awesomeness.

Refused to deliver because it was«too far away»(aka 15 minutes) and they were«about to close». This was at 9:20 on a Sunday when they close at 10:30… Great costumer service.

I love the sushi here! Not only is it fresh and delicious, but if you eat in you get a gorgeous presentation as well! I always order sushi when I come here so the sushi chef always recognizes me and does something awesome!

A Chinese place that does sushi right? Hm, I must try this. I ordered a fantastic roll(no, that was its name) and the seaweed salad for $ 17 at 10pm on a Sunday night from my cell phone to go. I was about 15 minutes away, and they called me back just 5 minutes after to ask how long I was going to be; they were listed as closed at 10:30pm. When I pulled up at 10:14pm, I was quickly whisked inside to pay, and they locked the doors behind me as I walked out. I was staying in White Plains and I had the sushi bug, so I went back to my hotel to snarf. Turns out, this lovely restaurant with its seemingly deceiving«Chinese and Japanese» food purée works pretty well. The sushi was chock full of fresh fish, spicy wasabi and fresh rice with just the right amount of vinegar. The seaweed salad hit the spot, with a heaping helping for just $ 5 — it can easily be split between two. Aside from the employees speaking English with a heavy Chinese accent(it took a bit for the order on the phone), I am surely coming back to try the Chinese food, which may be even better.

Had heard good things but, honestly, the sushi is a narrow selection and the chinese is just not quite right in terms of the flavors I expect. Taste of China on Main Street is much better, IMHO. Nothing here to phone home about.
