Just had to give this particular Carl’s Jr a good review because of the outstanding service we received. Although I didn’t get their name, the two positive, energetic young men working there made our short lunch that much better! I’ve been staying away from fast food for a while, but had to be quick for my fiancés lunch break so we stopped by the first place we saw and I’m glad it was this location. Of course it tasted the same as every other carl’s junior and wasn’t anything special, location wise. But these guys were great! After ordering one of them was cleaning tables and stopped by ours to ask how our food was. We said«great» and he smiled and said awesome! and kept cleaning. Then I finished my food and was about to get up to throw my tray away and another guy ran over and grabbed my tray and said not to worry about it and took care of it for me. These guys positive energy alone is enough to get me to come back to this spot, when I’m forced to eat fast food again of course! :)

The food is as expected but the restaurant itself is questionable. A clue that there are cleanliness and maintenance problems come from a visit to the men’s room. In this case gross is an accurate description. Urinal is missing, trash on the floor, «liquids» everywhere. If the bathroom is bad it makes you question the cleanliness of the kitchen

Worst Carl’s I’ve been to. Of course one of the few that was open on my morning road trip. First one wasn’t open, second one was being rebuilt, so this one had to do at 6am. Placed an order in the drive thru, that little screen was so messed up you could barely see it. I get to the window and paid. Get my meal, opened it to prepare to eat it as I drive, and found a sausage in my sandwich. I asked for no meat. I guess the speaker and mic is dying as well. I returned the sandwich and said I asked for no meat. I waited and got my sandwich. I started to leave before I realized, I still smelled meat. Instead of making a new sandwich, they took the one I returned, opened it, took out the sausage and placed it in a new wrapper. I still saw pieces of sausage when I opened it. Went back and asked them kindly to make a new sandwich. She gave me that dirty look. Later returned with a new sandwich. I opened it to make sure, no meat smell. Except the biscuit was way too salty and the thinnest piece of egg I’d ever seen. Turns out they placed half of my egg outside the sandwich, still was pretty thin. Hopefully they didn’t spit on my sandwich. And the most expensive of all Carl’s. Avoid at all cost.

drive thru rage — that feeling you get when you open the bag at home only to realize you were shorted an item you ordered. it is followed immediately by did they charge me — of course they did. Tell Grandma Carl Karcher enterprises kept her famous star with cheese. so final straw — has happened at this one several times. i am done. remember this review the next time you drive by the«casino» Carl’s — drive thru if you’re feeling lucky.

This was the most expensive Carl’s Jr I have ever been to! Most of the normal combinations were at least $ 8+, which is significantly more than other locations. It is worth it if you have the coupons that Carl’s Jr mails out every so often — I got two Teriyaki burgers for $ 4.50 +tax, when the normal price here was about per burger. Other than the prices, the location is in a convenient location and the inside was quite clean.

Sun gir, inc hire more employees!!! You have one guy working the register and the drive through at the same time while ONE guy is in the back making everybody’s food! The workers were great but it is not fair put so much pressure on them. Plus, you cheapo, you are loosing customers because people do not want to wait over 10 minutes to order while watching a guy do his best.

I loved Hardee’s Charcoal Broiled Hamburgers when I was in college in the southeast. Moved to Tarzana and found In n Out Burger which fed my hamburger habit nicely. Then, in a news article in the Daily News, discovered that Carl’s Jr. is the west coast version of Hardee’s.with the same charcoal broiling. Since that discovery I’ve alternated between In n Out Burger(and their double-double animal style) and Carl’s Jr.(with their western bacon cheeseburger and their famous Star burger. I prefer the Tarzana Carl’s because it’s always very fast service and they always make my burgers the way I like them. But I’m still an In n Out guy when I have time to wait in their long lines because I love their fries and shakes. Bottom line — Carl’s has absolutely top notch staff and customer service without exception as to the time of day. Very nice people and very thoughtful.(The same can be said for In n Out Burger as well.)

If I have time to open up Unilocal and write a bad review before I get a chance to order, I know this place sucks. I mean, it was 2 in the morning, but still, unacceptable. when I did get a chance to order, the girl taking my order was very slow and not communicating well with me. I literally backed up out of the drive through and left because of the poor service I received.

This Carls Jr is sketch. If you come here late at night to dine in you get sketchy people & homeless people. I came here last week thru at 11pm to get some food. The fries weren’t warm, weren’t salted, & crunchy. Horrid fries. The burgers I ordered was not any better. All the ingredients in the burger just tasted old as if they made it a few hours ago, left it out in the open, and just microwaved it. You’re better off going to the other Carls Jr done the road heading toward Woodland Hills. The only redeeming quality of this particular Carls Jr was that the customer service was good.

They do the job adequately and have a decent attitude. I like to get the cod sandwich without veggies and they occasionally leave off the sauce, which bothers me, so I won’t give them 4 stars.

Absolute worst service I have yet to have received from a fast good service chain. Fast food is exactly what it’s not at this establishment it took over 12 min for a chicken sandwich and a big burger. There is 2 other patrons in the store now so it’s not like they are busy. Go figure.

Franchise owner missing out on customers due to cheapening out on staff. WAY under staffed. Ridiculous wait! I gave up, as it seems did others!

Better hamburgers than most. Avoid the sausage biscuits that were loaded with salt. Still my favorite fast food burger place.

I stopped by here after picking up my sister ’cause we both had a craving for some Carl’s. I ordered the Western Bacon Cheeseburger and got some horrible rendition of it. It was rubbery, lukewarm, with no onion rings and a drop of barbeque sauce. My sister ordered the Bacon Swiss Chicken sandwich with a grilled chicken patty and got a chicken sandwich with two chicken strips and a container with a grilled chicken patty on the side. To be honest, I should have been skeptical when I had a hard time ordering because the lady couldn’t speak a lick of English. I tried getting ketchup for my fries and got more barbeque sauce, which helped my sandwich(but not by much). By far, the absolute WORST Carl’s Jr experience I’ve had in my life. Usually pretty excited to go, but never to this location ever again.

I ordered. a bacon western burger and not a Big Carl. It seemed the cashier didn’t undwrstand anything I said and the botched order is a confirmation that she didn’t. Plus the drive thru screen didn’t work in order for me to check my order for mistakes. Next time I will go to McDonalds. I wouldn’t get a Big Mac when I ordered a Quarter pounder.

My hubby and I were interested in trying out the new $ 6 «Thickburger» made with freshly baked buns, and were excited to find a coupon in our mailbox! So we headed over and did a late night food run with 2 coupons, Buy one thickburger, get one Free, and one side for $ 1.29. We ordered two thickburgers and a side of fried zucchini. We had a slight wait and were the only car in the drivethru(it was 10:30PM), but it was worth it because the zucchini was super hot and freshly made, and the burgers were hot and delicious when we got home. We really enjoyed the bread, it does make a difference! My only complaint is that the burger was massive and super messy, but I guess that’s the thing Carl’s is famous for? haha. As for the price, even w/the buy one get one coupons, our total was $ 8…no drinks or anything. so I guess the $ 6 burger is now indeed $ 6.00(actually $ 5.29 but close enough). I thought they were like $ 3 and called the $ 6 burger? Anyways, I figure that most hamburger combos are gonna come out to like $ 8 anyways at most places other than mcdonalds, so I’m not complaining. Just observing. I recommend the burgers with the new baked buns!!!

Those bad reviews are really strangely off the wall. This Carl’s is clean and welcoming. I usually do the drive-thru, and they handle that part of the operation well. The food is Carl’s Jr. food. If you like it, go there. If you don’t, then Carl’s Jr. isn’t for you.

By far the worst chain junk food restaurant I have ever been to. This review applies only to this particular location, I have been to other Carl’s Jr locations and they are OK. This place is a dump though. Stinky. Nasty. Feels like you are in ghetto, not on Ventura Blvd. Everything is dirty, and falling apart. The food was absolutely terrible, both me and my wife didn’t even finish and walked out in disgust. So much for our junk food craving. Stay away and you can thank me later.
