Found this place through Unilocal and was pleasantly surprised. The service was great and the food was really tasty. I had the combo platter, delicious beef and really juicy chicken. I will certainly be back.

Owners are incredibly nice and really take care of you. Split the shish kabob platter with a friend and the food was amazing. Food came out quick and everything was very fresh. Will definitely be coming back to this place, highly recommended.

Found this place through groupon and after our hike, we decided to try this place for lunch since it is right down the hill. There is convenient parking located in the lot. The owner, Malik, is a great guy that takes pride in the food he serves. We got the lunch specials– beef kabob and chicken kabob with rice, salad, and hummus. He asked us if the beef was cooked to our liking and told us that he would make us something else if it was not. The bread that comes out is so amazing with the garlic paste and a pesto-y sauce. He kept bringing us more even without us asking! The 3rd batch he brought out, I had to refuse! He kinda packed it for us to take home with an order of falafels. I definitely will be back.

Came today for the for time with my bff for lunch. Let me say the ladies here and wonderful,(5 Stars) and the décor is nice. I ordered the beef with mushrooms. Some of the pieces of beef tasted bad, not sure what that was about. The fries were cooked well, but needed salt, big time. I didn’t finish my food and took it to go. The bread here with the garlic sauce was the best part of the meal. I tried a bite of my friends chicken was pretty good, he liked it. I would come again, bu not get the beef with mushrooms, because like I said, some of it tasted old and bad. Parking is shared with the few ther vendors here, so can get busy.

What do you do when you get a call at 6pm that you have 15 unexpected guests for dinner at 8:30pm? After your initial panic attack you call Jojos. Yup. Thats what I did. Even though I live in Glendale and Jojos is in Tarzana… its well worth the drive. Usually when you take food home it doesnt have the same good taste however in this case it was not true. The food was so fantastic that my pickiest aunt kept eating and eating. Portions are huge, prices are perfect and the food is fantastic. You never ever disappoint.

This place is absolutely amazing. The hummus is amazing with the pita dipped into it yum! Although, in my opinion the shish kebob and the chicken kabob was not the best.

I’ve had better Mediterranean food but it wasn’t terrible. Tried the chicken Kanin and the cheese pie. Ordered ahead of time and the service was still bad. I had to wait forever for the cashier to help me even though my food was ready and paid for and all she had to do was hand it to me and there were plenty of other people who could’ve helped me but they wouldn’t

Couldn’t have been more impressed, my new favorite Mediterranean spot in the Valley. Very reasonably priced and the portions were enormous! Service was very good too. Our waitress(lady with red hair) was very kind and accommodating. Food was very fresh and the bread and garlic sauce were excellent. Will be eating here and ordering delivery quite a bit in the future. Thanks Jojo’s!

I was just walking around during lunch and realized there was a Mediterranean restaurant here. Service is great and food was good! I had a lunch special — Chicken Shawarma Lunch Special. Served with your choice of rice or fries and soup or salad with hummus. $ 9.95 and it was a lot of food. So kudos for that. The rolls/bread that comes with the meal to die for. Wow. I’ll definately will be back!

I spotted this place while walking along Ventura Bl. and stopped in to look at the menu. I decided on the«Meat combo» which came with shish kafta, shawarma, meat-stuffed grape leaves, and fried kibbeh. The grape leaves and kibbeh were flavorful but I found the kafta and shawarma a bit bland. I substituted grilled veggies for rice or fries($ 2.00 extra) and had a nice side salad which had a nice vinegar based dressing on it. A couple of nice rolls were also included. The people working there were very nice and professional.

The place is great. We ordered Shish combo for 2 and Shish Kabob with 2 side dishes. They were well prepared. I can tell because I have middle eastern origins and I am familiar with that kind of food. They offer bread and garlic sauce for free. The ketchup notes in previous reviews were handled with one bottle over each table. The amount was more than enough. We even took the rest for take away. They are very helpful and nice. They kept asked us if we like the food and if we needed anything. The only star iff was regarding the restroom. A note that I told them about and they deeply apologized for that. Otherwise, they would have well deserved the full 5 stars.

This place is nestled in between a quaint ice cream parlor and a Coffee Bean. I came here with my boyfriend for quality Mediterranean food and was not disappointed. It was extremely quiet when we came in. Many of the dining patrons were elderly. But once they began to finish up and leave, music videos played in the background and filled the empty room. To start, delicious bread accompanied by a tasty garlic spread and green sauce were brought out. I ordered shish kebabs(medium well as recommended by my server). It came with chicken lemon soup and rice. The soup was tasty, but tart. My boyfriend ordered the Salmon filet. He had that with lentil soup and fries. The lentil soup was DELICIOUS. I think the lentil soup was far superior to the lemon soup. Service was good. Not stellar, but good. We asked for water and it took an extra nudge before they brought it over. However, without asking, they gave us the Wi-Fi password when they noticed we were on our phones. They were also kind when suggesting foods and even brought us extra bread and sauces when they saw that we were enjoying it. I would rate this place a 9⁄10. Awesome, but not perfect. Definitely worth a revisit. :D

Starting with the freshly baked pita bread and the garlic sauce TODIEFOR !!! To the main dishes: sandwiches or the dinner plates, everything is fresh and flavorful !!! Perhaps the best falafel in the valley !!! Lamb and rice was also a hit !!! My new spot in the valley !!! Reasonable price and family oriented !!!

I live insanely close to this place — what an experience we had! The atmosphere was nice, we didn’t realize there was so much space and that it was a sit-down restaurant! The fact wish, home made bread with lemon butter is AMAZING! Suggestion: dip it in the lemon chicken soup! SOGOOD!!! My girlfriend and I shared a shish combo for two, and all the meat was so great on it! And you you put it in the bread, definitely good. We got a side of hummus which is a must-have. The owner cooks on the back and comes to to your table at some point to ask you how everything is. He deeply cares about his restaurant and it definitely shows! Our waitress was kind to us and took care of us. Overall had a great experience and we will DEFINITELY be back! Definitely would recommend bringing your family, as I will bring mine the next time they’re in town. :)

I know this is a new place in the neighborhood and I really wanted them to succeed, but my first experience was not enjoyable. I tried their weekday quarter chicken with rice, salad and hummus special, as take out. What I got in return was burned chicken(more blackened skin than meat) and burned pita bread which I think was supposed to be warmed and slightly toasted, at least that’s what the picture looked like. The one positive was the hummus which was smooth and delicious. and I gave this place 2 stars because they did provide very big portions of the sides. I’m willing to give it a second chance and try another dish because the staff was friendly and seemed willing to make sure you’re satisfied. Hopefully my second time will lead to a less burned experience.

Outstanding!!! And I have eaten the finest middle eastern food around the world! Everything fresh and aromatic. Breads freshly baked to your order. The yogurt cucumber salad mets in your mouth.(The only comparable place is «Carousel» in Glendale). Now Jojo’s running a groupon deal. Run and try it out. You will thank me later.

Checked this place out over lunch. I ordered the chicken shawarma lunch special. Came with rice, hummus, soup or salad and specialty bread. I was intrigued by the look of the shawarma after sitting down to eat(I got my order to go). The seasoning is unique and flavorful. The hummus is spot on and so was my lentil soup. Food portion is medium size to large, no complaints. This place used to be Panda Express for the longest time … But you wouldn’t be able to tell, good job on the interior. The reason for 3 stars when this could have easily have been a 4 or 5. The execution of my order was incomplete. Three food orders with utensils for 1. Order of fries with no ketchup. Order of soup accompanied with no spoon. … The food is good, and I like that this restaurant is offering Mediterranean fare with their own flare. This isn’t a chain and is family owned … I can see this place getting a higher ranking from me in the future.

I hate to do this to a place that just opened. But there are some things that are too difficult to mess up. I saw a groupon deal to this place earlier this morning. It was close by to our office and I thought I’d use it to buy me and a couple other guys lunch. First impressions. Probably the saddest restaurant signages I have ever seen. An ugly blue with a comic sans font in all lowercase. Absolutely no appeal considering the location. This should of been an early sign in regards to the lack of attention to detail they put in their food. We ordered a falafel lunch special, and two chicken shawarma lunch specials. But instead of the 2 chicken shawarma, we received one of the shawarma as a chicken kafta. This one I voluntarily took because I felt bad for the other person who was eating. At first glance, the food looks fresh and well put together. The amount is plenty for a lunch special. But the food itself is absolutely terrible. The chicken soup I got as a side was pure oil and over seasoned. I could not even eat it. The chicken kafta which was ground chicken was absolutely not edible. The chicken felt like a dry bland taste and the only flavor I experienced was the nasty char marks that made my food taste completely burnt. The ride and hummus were as average as can be. One thing that Is very important to me is condiments. They are very stingy. The other guy i got a falafel wrap for got a side of fries. The fries were totally stale, he didn’t finish them. They didn’t even have the presence of mind to provide any ketchup. For all three meals they provided just one tahini and garlic sauce which lacked garlic flavor. Lastly, the prices on the menu are just too high. I don’t understand what they are thinking. If I was to pay these prices I rather just go to a nice restaurant. I always wish for the best for new places, I am very suspicious of the other review left on their page and I hope this review helps them to get their act together so they can be successful.
