Came twice back to back and no question about it, the food is excellent great quality and service very accommodating, excellent prices. I will recommend this place to all my friends and whenever we come back to Valley this will be in the first spot on my agenda. This restaurant serves good buffet, delicious food, and it is a clean restaurant, but the place is a little bit small. I had only one problem that I couldn’t stop eating because the foods were delicious, especially chicken kabob with bread and fried tomatoes. I tried them for three times. Because the price I decide to go there two times per week, but I changed my mind to one time per week because I got fat! Thank you Mr. Forutan, Orchid is the best grill and kabob place in LA !

Not just because I’m Persian, but because the service and food never fails. Every gathering/party we have this is our one stop shop. The food is authentic and very affordable. It would take me days to make what they offer for less than $ 300. depending how many people you are catering for. Mr. Abbas and his staff do a great job and i love that the food always stays hot in the boxes. We’ve been ordering from them for the past 6 years and will always do so. xxx’s

This restaurant is in a small plaza, very hard to get parking. I was very glad to find they served a lunch buffet so I can try the different plates. The buffet consist on hummus, salad, chicken grill, chicken kabob, beef kabob and lentils. There is leek rice and steam rice too. The flavour is ok, what I like is the freshness of the meats. What I don’t like is that they give you a small plate if you want to serve back, like forcing you to take less food from the buffet… that’s why you will see the tables with a lot of small plates. Oh… the price… $ 12 for the lunch buffet and soda.

We were craving Persian food and we usually order from a really good place around the corner from our house, but we decided to go with Orchard instead. We’ve had it several times but it has never been a 1st option for Persian food when we are craving it. I would say it’s a good 3rd or 4th option but it’s still really good. My fiancé is Persian so I’ve had her family’s cooking for many years. Possibly I’m spoiled with traditional Persian food prepared from their grandmas recipes from Tehran but I still appreciate anyone’s food if it’s good. One of the pluses about Orchard is they deliver so I had my fiancé just order whatever and she decided to go with a beef kabob plate that came with rice and two BBQ tomatoes. A half kabob/chicken plate, tahdig(crisp rice), ghormeh sabzi(Iranian herb stew), gheymeh(Persian and Mesopotamian stew consisting of meat, tomatoes, split peas, onion and dried lime) and maast o moosir(persian yogurt). I enjoyed everything we had except for the chicken. For some reason it tasted dry and had a weird taste. I had one bite and couldn’t eat anymore. I feel like I had their chicken before and I liked it but this must of been a bad batch. Overall, I would recommend everything but the chicken lol. The rest of the food is good and they deliver so that’s a plus. It’s a little expensive but worth it. OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros

Food is wonderful. My family and I have been eating her for years. All of our parties have been catered from here as well. It’s by far my second favorite Persian food on the planet, only second to my grandmas home made Persian food. Love it.

Orchid catered our kid’s birthday party. We don’t have enough good things to say. The food is excellent, well prepared, well packaged, and very reasonably priced. The owners are very accommodating and easy to work with. They delivered exactly as promised. A much healthier and tastier choice than typical pizza. Highly recommended and we will definitely continuing eating here and utilizing their catering services!!!

Great price for the amount of food they give you! I usually get their beef koobideh and it’s pretty delicious. I HAVE had better at this other favorite restaurant but that restaurant charges double. But for quick, affordable, and tasty food, this place is great :-)

My parents order food from them all the time & suggested this place, i had a party i decided to order too, the owner was so helpful & helped me to order enough food & they have special boxes that the food stays warm for a long time, so even if you order earlier you can serve on your own time! very happy!

I can say that the food for the lunch buffet at Orchid Grill & Kabob is quite tasty. The two types of rice, two types of chicken, humus and salad are very good and flavorful. The price is $ 10.99 so $ 12 with tax. My only complaint is that it would be nice if they had roasted veggies like tomato and perhaps mint leaves, or other side disk varieties. The atmosphere is well strip mall. So nothing special. But one comes here for the food. I just wish there was more of a variety of side dishes. When one can consider that down the street what Safir Grill has to offer for the same price but they add $ 1 more for a service fee, the quality is much greater, atmosphere and service is significantly better. Again please do not get me wrong the flavor of the food is quite good. Just for what others have for the same price they should add a few more side dish items. Or lower their price to like $ 8.95 at the most.

They catered my wedding with a three-week notice. Mathew is the best he knows how do meet the expectations of the customer. He asked us what we liked and put the menu together. Everything was perfect from the delivery service to the delicious food. We always order from Orchid Grill Kabob the customer service and food keep us coming back for more. Absolutely the best place in the valley!

Sounds like the buffet is the best way to go. We went outside of buffet hours and the meal was fine but a bit pricey compared to similar restaurants. The people are very nice though.

Orchid catered my sons and daughters birthday parties within a two months timeframe. I am so glad to have found them. Nick and Laurie are such nice people and they are very easy to work with considering I’m a control freak. This time I ordered 30 chicken koobedieh, ½ tray of shirazi salad, ½ tray of Barbary rice(they gave me dill rice instead, kind of upset but there is nothing I can do), ½ white basmati rice, 1 tray of grilled onions, bell peppers and tomatoes. The way they packaged the trays kept the food nice and warm. They came from Tarzana to Agoura Hills in traffic and the food was hot when it arrived. I’ll be calling Orchid for my next party.

Live the buffet options here at Orchid. Various options to choose from and good quality food. The buffet timings are limited so you have to check to make sure what time it starts and ends. Definitely a great value, but one reason I hate climb is m due to the horrible, small, cramped up parking structure that makes it hard to navigate. But, if your early enough, you maybe lucky to get a spot! Food Grade: A Worth The Money: A+ Service Grade: A Ambience: B Parking Convenience: C Overall Impression: A

Honestly, I could not believe how highly rated this place is on Unilocal after I ate here. Went for dinner on a weeknight and would never go back. We walk in and are seated quickly in this small space, because the only other people in the restaurant are lounging around like they own/work there — no food on their tables. The ambiance is… nonexistent. You’re sitting at cafeteria type tables that are covered with white paper on cafeteria type chairs. It is definitely obvious that this place’s focus is on their buffet crowd. There’s one of those glass-covered buffet things that’s empty on the evening that we went in, with handwritten, scotch-taped signs on it. Service was fine — we weren’t ignored or treated particularly well. Asked for only water to drink — the waitress went to the soda machine, filled plastic cups, using her bare hands to stick unwrapped straws from a bulk box directly into the drinks. No pretension of being sanitary. You’re served a thinly layered, cold bread with cold blocks of hotel butter and a white onion. What exactly am I supposed to do with that? When I’ve eaten a feast in a Persian household, there was nothing like this served to me. Whatever. We get the hummus — which is freezing cold and bland. Ordered a salad — it was drenched in dressing, lots of raw onions, not to my taste. Had very obviously canned olives on it and did I say raw onions? Lots of finely chopped raw onions, so you couldn’t even eat around them if you tried. It came with a deli-style plastic squeeze bottle of the dressing on the side, in case you didn’t get enough. Very vinegar-heavy. Split the filet mignon entrée with my hubby. The meat was okay — not much flavor to it, and the thickness of the cut determined how well-done or not it was. I got the thinner, more well done end, while he got some more tender pieces. Still, we agreed that it was overall: nothing special. It came with a TON of rice, which tasted like it was cooked in a pile of butter. Overall, I felt like it was overpriced for what I got for my money, and again, I would never return.

I praise their service. A senior citizen friend of mine has trouble hearing and they worked with him and spoke Farsi when he ordered his food. It took him about 5 minutes but they were patient. Our order came out promptly, warm and tasted good. The waitress is very attentive and she is been nice. The store is cool and air conditioned which makes it a comfortable environment to be in. Plenty of tables to sit at. Public restroom. I’ve been here before today, today I am writing a review while waiting for my friend to finish eating, and I will come here again.
