Viridian Art Academy

My 9 year old just started classes here over the summer. She was at another art studio that just wasn’t teaching her what I thought was worth the fees we were paying. Viridian was highly recommended by a family member and when I saw the art that her child was doing, I decided to sign my kid up. The monthly fee for a once a week, 1.5 hour class is pricey but not out of line with the going rate of other art studios. I have to say that this is well worth it. The quality of art that my kid is bringing home from day one, is impressive. She is working with chalk and when her skills are ready will move on to oil paint. I love that she is learning the principles of depth and dimension, shading, layering and perspective. The staff is warm and friendly and my daughter is very happy going to class.

I first met Bronwyn at my children’s elementary school where she worked as an art teacher. She is very energetic (especially after her a.m. Starbucks) and funny. Bronwyn and her partner, Maria own Viridian. They are both creative, warm, and great with kids. I love the sense of accomplishment and pride my kids feel when I pick them up.

Awesome!!! Kind patient talented fun teachers!!! Just get ready for a place to put all the amazing work your kids will do!!!

This is cool place to get together with friends and have your inner artist come out (mine was waaaayyyy in. I’m not artsy, but it was still fun!).
My friends and I went during wine and paint night. For $ 40, I was given a canvas and it was nice to grab some wine and snacks provided.
The art teachers are amazing. They helped so much and were extremely nice.
The set back was well, the set up. I couldn’t really see since I sat in the back. (I heard it used to be u-​shaped, but they went with columns instead of rows, which would have actually worked better.) I was told it was going to be an hour class, but it went 45 mins past the hour and I ended up just being tired and anxious because it was late.
I’d definitely go back though. Maybe even have a party there. =)

i am blown away at what my kids are learning — worth every penny!
