Ruby Street Grille

We stopped here today on our monthly Legion Riders ride. We sat inside in the air conditioning although there were people sitting outside as well. We wanted to get out of the sun and heat. I wish I had thought to get the name of our waitress because she was excellent. Young cute dark hair. Food was good. I had the Beef on Weck that’s a western NY thing. I took a picture to send to family there and they said it made them hungry just looking at it. I would definitely recommend it.
The only thing I would recommend to the owners would be to bleach the bathroom floor. It really needs it

I had lunch here in between court hearings. Short walk from the courthouse on a nice day. I ate the grilled veggie wrap with chili and both were very good. Lots of good veggies and nice flavor. Service was friendly and quick. Very nice covered patio with lake view. I’ll come back next time I’m in Lake County.

Love the atmosphere… when I walk in there’s live music everytime… the food is good too

Good food. I had the fish and chips, which included a generous portion of haddock.

Check this out the first Monday night of each month. The MD Jazz Band rehearses on the patio playing Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, and other popular 70’s horn band stuff. Starts at 7:30 and is a perfect night for dinner and great music.

We went here based off of recommendations from Unilocal. and we were not disappointed. It was fantastic. Our server Donna was bubbly and friendly. She makes the tea and my husband said the tea was the best that he has had in a while. It is homemade and freshly made everyday. I am vegetarian and I had there homemade rice and beans and a cup is their soup which was all very filling and delicious. My grandpa had the fried fish sandwich which he said was out of this world and made just how he likes it. My grandma had the pulled pork which was finger licking good. What a great experience. You can bet we are coming back!

Checked into this little place by the lake. The scallops, 6, were nice. Dad had nachos, piled high. Mom had the Parmesan sandwich with house made chips. Delicious! I had the chicken and bacon sandwich. Perfect. Reasonably priced. Bands, a funky looking Bloody Mary, and sports on a couple tv’s. Cold yeungling on draft!

Came here for a birthday– it will be our last visit.
Ordered some appetizers– beef and bleu: the waitress asked how we would like it cooked (rare) and it proceeded to come out well done. The caprese salad was ok– there were think cuts of not yet ripe tomato nestled with herb mix salad not a great pairing as the herbs in the mix had anise flavor from the fennel and the smallest amount of buffalo mozzarella, the balsamic reduction was minimal– it needed more. If you are going to plate it have the items more uniform in size. That just looked sad–
The entrees came and I ordered the penne with vodka cream sauce and shrimp– the shrimp was over cooked, and the sauce was too runny. My husband had the sliders and that was dry, super over cooked and honestly it looked like it was left over from lunch. The fries where great– they were over cooked as well–
We ordered coffee and the waitress made a fresh pot (always ask for that– it’s a tip)
Decided on dessert: the lava cake needs ice cream– it was a blazing hot bundt cake ice cream is essential.
The waitress was nice– the restaurant was recommended by someone we know– I am not passing along that recommendation. I could have prepared this meal for less than 70.00 with better quality, flavor and correct temps.

I sat at the bar and ordered the Largey Burger, which was interestingly, and a bit ominously, named after a local personal injury firm. It was quite good and large, as the name implies. Order it with grilled onions, instead of raw. The fries that came with it were the very ordinary crinkle-​cut fries, but they were plentiful and tasty, as they were sprinkled with Old Bay, according to the cook, who sat next to me at the bar, which I thought was cool. The draught beer selection is pretty decent, too. The flies are a bit of a problem, which could be easily resolved by hanging clear plastic bags filled with water. It is the general ambience that makes this place, though. The live music act was very good, and there is a nice view of the park and Lake Dora. Overall, it’s a fun place to chill while having a beer and a bite.

Great place to come relax! Makes you feel like you’re down in the keys! Great drinks and awesome service! Very fun atmosphere!

Wow! This is the best place around! From the food to the music! The people really make this place happen! The beer is always cold and the view is great! Some old traditions from Western New York, great wings and beef on weck!

Decent food, but too many flies competing for a bite.

This is one of my family’s favorite go to places. The live music is always great, the service is always fast and the food is always amazing. My girls love it because they can play in the sand while we wait for our food, and my husband and I love it because the atmosphere is fun.

Had a great time. Sat on the patio. Impressed that they have water bowls for dogs. They were able to adapt an item on the menu for my special dietary needs. Definately will go back.

Went back to Ruby Street with some good friends. Service was immediate this time. We had Turkey Sandwiches, Pizza, and Fish n Fries. Everyone was very satisfied with their food, I had the fish, it was cooked correctly, not to heavy, no bad taste or smell through the whole filet. Guessing it was a third of a pound. Good sized portion.
Drinks were generous. Price was good too. Waitress was by our table, guessing more than 8 times to check on us (Tarah?). It was a busy night and the servers weren’t heavy on their feet.
Rest of the details. Tidy outside, clean inside. No sign of critters. Restroom layout is very good with room for those with younger kids.
I was looking for folks who had not been served. I didn’t see any.
We arrived at 8 PM, so we hit a peak time.

Across the street from Wooten Park. My burger was perfectly prepared. Although, what made the evening was a live band, Blue Stone Circle, performing outside under a covered patio.
Chrissy, my server, was so cheerful and saw to it my drink never ran dry.

I’m a fan. The food has always been good and the service is usually awesome. Depending what night it is you can sit out on the deck and listen to live music or enjoy to he quiet of the inside. Never had a complaint and will be back when the mood strikes!

Ate here with my family and brother and sister-​in-​law over our spring break. I give the atmosphere 4 stars. Nice outdoor patio for eating and drinking. Indoor eating area was rather drab. My wife and I both had the Ruby burger with seasoned fries. My daughter had the grilled cheese and fries. I would give the food 4 stars. It was good, decently priced, and arrived fast and of adequate temperature. I’ve had better, but I’ve also had worse!
Happy hour drink prices were also adequate. Draft beer selection was minimal.
The atmosphere makes this place. I would assume this place is rocking on the weekends. There is a great view of the lake from the back patio.
I would go back here again.

What a GREAT stop while in this lovely part of Florida! The weather couldn’t have been any better, and the outside deck to sit and enjoy lunch was just what the Doctor ordered (Spring Break Doctor that is!).
You can tell these people love food — the blackened scallops were a nice light bite. My husband is from Buffalo (so is the owner of Ruby Street Grille), and their Beef on Weck was excellent! Paired that with a couple of Ice Picks (ask a fellow Buffalo friend what that drink is), and we had ourselves a delicious and relaxing lunch visit.

Service and view are very nice. Food, not so much.
We dined here because it has a nice deck looking out at Lake Monroe and was perfect for our family of four. The view is blocked by a parking lot and street but you can still see the water and are only a stone’s throw from Wooton Park. Service was friendly and quick. As Billy N. said, Chrissy did a great job and was perfectly happy and bubbly as she went about her job.
Food and drink were a disappointment. First, a place like this should have a better beer selection. They have your typical crap beers like Bud, Miller, etc. and only two that were drinkable. It would be great to try some craft brews while sitting on the deck enjoying a sunset. Happy hour/​drink specials would be nice too. The food selection looks promising but lacks execution. My burger was overcooked and underseasoned and the «seasoned fries» were just frozen/​fried crinkle cut. The meal was absolutely not worth the calories. With a food and drink overhaul this restaurant could be great. It has a fabulous location and a great staff. Hopefully things improve here!
