My family and I really like this place! I grew up around good authentic Mexican food and have had trouble finding a few good places to eat near Austin. We’ve tried dozens of Mexican restaurants in Central Texas and this is one of the best we’ve found, especially near Taylor! All of their plates are affordable, their queso is more authentic than most and their fajitas are actually fajita meat not chopped up scraps. Plus, thy have homemade flour tortillas and good sweet tea. I highly recommend this place if you’re on the hunt for a good meal!

We eat here in a regular basis for a few reasons. First, it is really close to home so it’s very convenient. Second, the service is always wonderful! Drinks are always full as well as the chips and salsa. I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and have been disappointed with none of it. It’s not by any means the best but it is consistently good food. I love the charro beans flavor even though it has hot dogs in it. Weird I know but gives the juice an incredible taste. I also tried the Hawaiian fajitas the other day after seeing another patron eating it. The flavor was exceptional. I’ve tried to order alcoholic drinks here several times and in those, this business is severely lacking. Inexperienced«bartending»(she was reading how to make a margarita off of a recipe page) and just flavorless, not to mention slow. Again, consistently good food, homemade tortillas and great service at the tables.

Used to come here often. Had not been there in a while. Took a few minutes to be seated. Took another 5 minutes + to get waited on. Got our drinks & then sat there for about 30 minutes waiting for our food. Watched other people who came after us get served while we were basically ignored. We didn’t order anything out of the ordinary. Finally got up & left without eating. Will not be back again. FYI. I don’t mind body piercings but there’s a time & place to display them. The nose ring in the hostess was pretty unappealing.

El Corral Lozano is a passable spot to grab a cheap breakfast if you happen to be in Taylor. We were there about 11 on Saturday morning. We were seated immediately. The coffee was the usual weak café fair. There were 3 of us and we ordered chilaquiles, migas and a breakfast plate with 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, potatoes and biscuits. All the plates included potatoes that looked nicely browned but were a bit undercooked and not hot. In fact, none of the food was very hot. Overall, the food was pretty average but fine if you’re not expecting anything fancy. It was cheap. Each entrée was $ 5.50, total bill was $ 22. I wouldn’t make a special trip but it’s fine if you’re in Taylor and don’t want fast food(or not quite ready to go next door for BBQ at Louis Mueller’s!)

Though I don’t feel it is authentic it is still very good food for a very reasonable price. Their burritos are the best! You get the most bang for your buck and they are overall delious. Stay away from the crispy tacos they are gross, also be careful sometimes the enchiladas are overcooked. Overall good service, family friendly, relaxed atmosphere, good food and amazing price! Almost forgot the chicken tortilla soup is a must try!!!

Came to this area to visit my family and they mentioned this restaurant. Looked on Unilocal like I always do before I go spend some money and the reviews weren’t the best but I figured I’d try the place still. Walked in around lunch time had our table quickly and soon drinks along. I have to say the service was on point. The food was also great tasting. Very happy and impressed with the great food and service. I’m from Los Angeles and was glad to come to Texas and enjoy myself some great service and great food therefore this restaurant gets a 5 star Unilocal review in my book! Keep up the good work staff.

I know the tacos will be that much better if the cook would heat up the tortillas much more. The tortillas feel and taste raw all of the time. I usually get to work and hat them up more. Zapatas tortillas… best in town.

Standard quality texmex fair along with American style breakfasts. Small town friendly atmospere. Everything one should expect. The migas were nice and crunchy. The waitstaff attentive and fast.

Some servers need to acknowledge you before you start wondering who your server is… once they get started though they are usually on the ball. Food is consistently delicious. You can actually tell the difference between over easy and over medium eggs. Guacamole is addictive. One of my favorite places to eat.

The last time we went there(literally) we had 4 servers shooting the breeze with ea. other 5 feet from us. After 30 minutes of being ignored, we left.

The jalapeño cream cheese burger is the absolute bomb. The fries are plentiful and tasty. My only knock on the joint is the service is way below what I’d call minimum. If the service was there this place is a solid 5 in my book.

We waited almost 10 minutes after we sat down in a big section with only 3 other parties of 3 or less people for service. Wait staff seemed happier standing around than doing their job. The tea tasted like there was a cigarette butt in it. Queso was wayyyy too runny. I ordered what was supposed to be carne guisada… beef tips in bagged brown gravy with NO flavor is what I got. Beans, rice and guacamole also had NO flavor. My husband’s was okay(chicken breast with cheese melted on top with vegetables). Wait staff spent more time apologizing to tables near us for lack of service and playing grab ass with each other than doing their job. Do not go expecting real Mexican food because that’s not what you’ll get. Guess that’s what we get for assuming it’s what they had given their name.

There are some serious chicken paintings in here. Some decent chips and salsa… Good rice and beans. Good al pastor. Only thing that was subpar were the flour tortillas. Not homemade is not good. Other peoples food also looked delicious. Sat in AC ordered and ate in time it took the rest of my group to just get their food across the street at Louie Mueller BBQ. Would eat here again

Be warned. Someone stole my debit identity and used it here for $ 51. I don’t live near Austin. Not all the money in the world but no one apparently bothered to check ID to assure card and owner were the same.

As far as Mexican food goes, I wouldn’t exactly call it «authentic». However, you want some GOOD food, this place is pretty darn good! There’s an interesting«feel» to this place… kinda like small town Texas good ol’ boy meets wanna-be Mexican cuisine. For instannce, you can order the enchilada plate OR the chicken fried steak… mounted deer heads share the same wall with the sombrero, etc… But don’t let that scare you off, it’s worth the stop! We eat here often — the food is good, quick, decently priced, and the service has always been great!

We had a party of 14 so I know that can be a ittle overwhelming, but there was nothing good about the whole experience. They sat us under the A/C vent and we repeatedly asked them to turn it up as it was freezing! No response. One guy in our party did not get his food until he asked for it, twice! One of us had to go and find silverware while our food quickly got cold under the A/C. I had the green chili chicken enchiladas which would probably have been ok warm, but were bad freezing cold. There is no reason to return when there are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in Taylor.
