So this was insane. I thought I was in decent shape, but I may have been a bowl of jello with legs trying to complete this race. The obstacle course was so much fun! But some of the obstacles were genuinely pretty concerning. There were no safety nets, or even mats, and a lot of the obstacles didn’t even have staff nearby to help in the case of injury. That being said, know your limits and you’ll be okay — mostly. It’s literally running up and down a mountain and pulling yourself through mud so you’re going to be sore you’re going to get some scrapes and bruises. I cannot reiterate enough. YOUARELITERALLYRUNNINGUPANDDOWN A MOUNTAIN. My biggest tip? Wear as little clothing as possible(while still keeping it legal). You get wet and covered in mud. I wore yoga pants and a runner’s long sleeve shirt and I was carrying around an extra 30 pounds of mud by the end of the race. Free professional photography, distributed via race bib number.
