We got there and there was a wait, but there were empty tables so clearly they didn’t have enough servers. The meat sauce was bland and boring, the meatballs sucked too. The only good thing was the sausage. The good part of the entire experience was the manager that came around to the tables and talked to the guests. He was great. But I still don’t plan on going back anytime soon. If you want a good Italian meal then I would suggest going elsewhere.

Loved The Old Spaghetti Factory since I was a kid. This one gets 5 stars because I called to place a to go order literally 3 minutes before close and they were more than accommodating. I tipped big feeling guilty. Thanks.

Two stars is generous. Service and food was bad. Our waiter wasn’t attentive and acted like we were more of an irritation than customers.

I haven’t been here in years. I, along with family & friends, had become very disappointed with the service & the food. With some hesitation family members attended a dinner party last week & praised the service & food. So, I gave it a try.. .. I was pleasantly surprised. I missed the spinach tortellini the most & I was not disappointed. They no longer offers it as an appetizer, but we all wanted to taste everything so we shared are meals. I am happy to hear that they are working towards making this a family favorite again. I, along with my family & friends, look forward to eating here again! Thank you Old Spaghetti Factory for the efforts you are making! I’m excited to have family gatherings there again!

first time i’ve ever been to this establishment was tonight. the food was ok… note to management: do not seat parties with children in the trolley car if you are going to have someone going around making balloon animals. difficult to enjoy my dessert with the balloon guy’s ass in my face the whole time. not worth my $ 50

This is one of our families favorites. My son has picked this place the last three years in a row for his birthday dinner. The food is delicious. The staff is always fast and friendly. The Italian cream sodas are a great choice if you have never had one or want something different and you get to keep the glass.

I have been here A LOT over the years. Service has almost always been decent, but this last visit, I couldn’t be happier. My waiter remembered the specifics of my drink(no ice and with lime) and brought the same thing for my refill(which never happens). A random waiter walked by and handed me a new napkin because he saw that the one on my lap had fallen to the floor before I even noticed. A manager checked in at the end of our meal, and we all had a great time. Nice Work Guys!

My kids like to eat here, mostly because of their Italian sodas. I’ve always loved their spaghetti with browned butter and mizithra cheese. Yum. I don’t think the ambience here is as nice as the restaurant in Trolley Square, but the parking and accessibility from the freeway is much easier. I think the hours they are open is less than the Trolley location because they have been closed a few times when I wanted to eat there.

Okay, I get it. Utah is super far away from any coast where there are a good amount of Italians and genuine Italian anything, but come the hell on!!! The one star is for the interior décor and the cool chairs/couches in the front entrance. I was in love. Some family members recommended this place and we came with a group of 5. We didn’t wait that long despite the crowds and I was super excited to try it because it was so cute and quirky, but also because It has good Unilocal reviews. Wtf Utah, you’re messing with my Southern tastebuds??? The drinks took about 15 minutes and the party who was sat 5 minutes after we did got their drinks before us then got their food 20 minutes before we did. I have no clue how, but moving on. We got simple breadstick or cheesebread appetizers and everyone got whatever. I got a simple spaghetti with marinara. It was inedible. The sauce tasted as though it had dirt in it and was watery. I thought it was just me so I let 2 other people try it who are natives to Utah and they were grossed out. I got sick later on in the evening and was slugging back tums. I keep getting suckered in to different Italian-ish places on every visit and it makes me sad. I almost needed a flight to NY to wash the taste out with some big slices of Brooklyn style with extra pepperoni! I’m sorry, but the best part of this was the tiny ice cream you get at the end of the meal. We had to find someone downstairs to get the check because we waited so long for that as well. If you just sat a server a 12 top, don’t seat her a 5 top right after. Not impressed and will not be back unless they are Selling those chairs and couches.

Went here last night after walking out of another dirty restaurant. It was the same old spaghetti factory from when I was a little girl. Same amazing service, same great food and same great atmosphere. The service was impeccable and they didn’t skip a beat on some of the special items we asked for like extra ice, a side of cheese and so on. The food was just as good as always, what I expected. The great thing about this place is that your meal included bread, salad, entrée and Dessert and the price is incredibly reasonable. I like that even though there are old spaghetti factories all over the U.S. That it still has that home town, small business, family owned feel.

Looking at most of these reviews of this place, people must not eat out a lot. The food is a step DOWN from Olive Garden. And that is bad!!! Boiled shrimp or microwaved take your pick. Both are gross and then dumping it on top of fettuccine is not good. Plus the sauce was clumpy and tasted over cooked. The ravioli taste like it came out of a precooked bag from Costco. Bread…tastless and crumbled apart(that means it was dry) Salad…prepackaged from the grocery store Ice cream… worse then the kind of out of a plastic bucket at Walmart. Please people go to other Italian restaurants then rewrite your reviews this is not a 4 or 5 star restaurant. Customer service was okay and we were seated promptly. That is the only reason for 2 stars.

Mmmmmm. Mizithra in browned butter with the mushroom marinara sauce. I’m craving it just talking about it. I order it every time. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the shotty service and terrible hosting abilities.

I’m a frequent diner at this OSF and I’m happy to say I’ve never had an unpleasant experience. The prices are fair and the food is good! The dinner comes with soup or salad and ice cream for dessert! What more can I ask for, right?! Well, a lot. But. For the sake for this review, we’ll add on the service. Which has always been great as well. Menu recommendations: — Crab Ravioli. If you like crab, this is a great dish. They give a 5 – 6 giant raviolis filled with crab meat(I’m pretty sure it’s real crab meat and not imitation. If it’s imitation, then my god I don’t care because It’s real good. And that’s coming from a self appointed pro crab leg eater). — Half and Half. This is my go to dish! But… I mix it up and get spaghetti and mizithra and spinach tortellini with Alfredo. Because I’m not picky, just particular. — Italian cream sodas. My personal favs are strawberry or blackberry and vanilla. The price includes an OSF glass that you can take home! They will give you a new one at the end of your meal so you’re not taking home a dirty one. Good place for date night or large group. I think everyone can find something they’d enjoy!

I have been hear a 100 + times, I love this place. They have the most awesome night manager. He almost alway stops by to see if everything is ok. Thank You! I am always very happy with the food. Im just disappointed that they have had to raise there prices so much. Come on $ 3.00 for Hartley size. Thats is crazy, it should be that size to begin with. If a person wants a half a order or maybe wants to share with another. I eat simple, Managers special Hearty size and one Hefinwieser. That cost me $ 21o o Bucks for me. What else can I say? O one more thing, be careful Now Milk, Coffee and Ice Tea are a lot extra now. No longer included with meal.

I’ve been here with only 4 of us and had service that was not quite as good as today with 25 spread over 2 huge tables. I had my fav spaghetti with clam sauce. Soooo Good. They have Gluten free meals as well. Always love the included Spinoni ice cream. They have vanilla for other tastes! Bread with garlic butter always hot and tasty. Salads are always fresh. It’s not gourmet nor is it upscale. But it is good predicable consistent food that is moderately priced. You will spend only a little more than fast food these days, in a beautiful dinning room. This will be more nutritious than most fast food!

We had a group of 18. They sat us upstairs in a timely manner and that is my only compliment. It took a over a half hour JUST to get our drinks. Another half hour for our appetizer(garlic cheese bread) thank goodness we ordered an appetizer because we NEVER received our bread that’s supposed to come with our meal and we waited an additional 20 minutes for our entrées. Trying to get a refill on our drinks was like pulling teeth! I got up and took the pitcher of water from the waiters station and refilled our waters myself. The food was good, nothing amazing. I won’t be back anytime soon.

This is my favorite place to eat. I almost always get the same thing, but I have started to try some new items on the menu. Recently I tried their gluten free noodles, and they were amazing! They still had some good flavor and even though I had never had any gluten free noodle, I still enjoyed the dish very much. We like to go to dinner a bit early because they are always busy, but the place is mostly clean(the chandeliers could use some dusting… mostly the ones that have the little tassels) and the service is almost always spot on.

We were s group of 30 who dropped in on a Friday night. They have an upstairs area that easily accommodated us and another group that was already there. Staff was very friendly, but it seemed inordinately long before we got our drinks. My wine, the valpolicella special, was anything but special. Red water with a hint of grape. I ordered the Vesuvian, which has a nice little kick by including Tabasco and cayenne pepper. It was decent, and the sourdough bread, which the wait staff admirably kept refilling, was relish. Lastly the décor was really impressive. Massive solid wood panels, beams and columns give it a very stately feel. It ain’t gourmet but it’s a good fit, especially for a large group.

I’ve frequented this restaurant multiple times because it is relatively close by and reasonably priced. This is a great restaurant for families and large groups. I like to start off with a salad and their pesto dressing. A side note: order the salad with the dressing on the side because the lettuce will get soggy. For my entrée I usually order the mizithra and brown buttered noodles because it is so simple yet amazing. If you aren’t a fan of cheese, I would not recommend this dish because it is a little on the heavier side. My sister ordered the«potpourri» dish which was also good. This entrée consists of their mizithra and brown buttered noodles, spaghetti and meat sauce noodles, and noodles with clam sauce. The«potpourri» is a great dish if you want to try different pastas. A great little feature to this place is they offer complimentary ice cream for dessert. You get to choose between either vanilla or Spumoni. While I love vanilla ice cream like any other girl, their Spumoni ice cream is something else – it is so good, one time I ordered a whole gallon to-go!(Spaghetti Factory’s Spumoni ice cream consists of cherry, pistachio, and chocolate ice cream). The food here is consistently pretty good, but the service can be lacking from time to time. Last night, however, our server was on point! She was really friendly and refilled our drinks without us even asking. This isn’t the cleanest restaurant in my opinion, but it doesn’t deter me from coming back for their mizithra and Spumoni!
