Dairy Queen

I have always been a fan here. My go-​to are usually the shakes or the banana split. You can’t go wrong with either. The chocolate dipped ice cream cones hit the spot as well. The service is good enough. No seating arrangements but it adds to the experience here at DQ. This is the Bergen County go-​to spot. No other place like DQs for miles. Too bad Fall is kicking into high gear so this place will be shutting down until the summer starts up again!

Banana Split loaded with chocolate fudge, crushed pineapple and strawberry toppings, whipped cream and cherries. it was a nice cooling and decadent treat for a hot & sticky day.

The parking lot is massive but the employees are as unprofessional as you can get. I don’t mind listening to rap but if the music is interfering with the guest experience, then maybe you need to turn the music down or off during peak hours.
Every kid that works here is young, like 16 or 17 young, so don’t expect much in regards to service. Just make sure you bring your own seat if you want to eat the ice cream there. And be sure to keep an eye on your car as youngsters tend to lean where they’re not supposed to.
On my last visit here, I purposely peeled out of the parking lot because a kid was leaning on my car while I was in it. He busted his ass.
I left happy…

Ended up having to come here after we were turned away from another DQ that decided to close 45 mins early.
Glad we decided to take the drive to this place. I remember being taken to this place when I was a kid. It’s still standing, and the staff is pretty friendly.
I made the mistake to order the «LARGE» cone… Gees, it was like a quart of ice cream on my cone!
Few reasons this place didn’t get 5 stars:
1) The parking lot needs to be redone. It also needs lights in the shadow area. We witnessed a car trying to leave the lot, and it drove off the curb causing a little damage to the bottom of it’s rear bumper.
2) If you’re going to allow people to sit near «The Barn», at least have benches. We were sitting on milk crates.
3) Could you please have some garbage cans with tops that aren’t so damn hard to push open? I tried throwing trash out, but the damn spring in the top of the trash lid was so hard, that everyone that tried throwing trash out, was making a mess on the lid that was attracting bugs!

How do you not love Dairy Queen?

Ice cream was good and it was a short wait.
The only is that the employee were not wearing Dairy Queen hats or visors and were wearing NY Yankees caps backwards which can be offensive to some people…
