Don’t expect customer service here. The owner lives out of town and the management couldn’t care less about doing a good job. However they have the best pizza around and their bagels are delicious. Go for the pizza, you won’t be disappointed.

Best salad bar! Ok so the place definitely needs an update on the décor, especially in the pizza section. They also could use to expand as there seems to not be enough room especially at lunch time. The food is very good however and there seems to be something for everyone.

Worst. Service. Ever. Zero stars. Waited an hour for a bagel and some eggs. The place is crowded for some reason. Do not go here.

I like the bagels here, my bro works here from time to time and the people are decent. I had the make your own wrap, it was delicious and healthy. Some people that work there are nice and they are usually pretty packed

Sammy’s has the best bagels and other cuisine that I have tasted in NJ. The ONLYANDBIGBUTISTHATTHEIRFEMALECUSTOMERSERVICE /STAFF ISBEYONDRUDE. Just today I went to get a bagels, I great the lady with short curled blond hair with a pleasant hello and asked if they have sesame bagels. She replied yes and and asked what i want on them. I clearly stated one with tune toasted, one with tuna, tomatoe, and american cheese, she went to grab them. Came back and said no sesame, I said I will take one everything and one plain. The plain bagel with just tune toasted and the everything bagel with tuna tomatoes and American cheese toasted. She left to prepare them and in less then 15 seconds asks me what I want on the everything bagel. Before I answered her I asked if she had toasted the bagels, her reaction was to slam the fridge door and walk away with a rude grin on her face. She didnot toasted and had to grab new bagels. After the new ones came out of the toaster I had one again reminded her that the plain bagel is just with tuna and the everything bagel is with tuna tomatoes and American cheese and yet again she walked away with a rude grin. I picked up my order made it back to work and found my everything bagel with NOTOMATOES. I really don’t know how hard it is to smile at your customers that are extremely polite and patient when they have to repeat their orders 2 plus times, IFYOU CANt REMEMBERTHEORDERWRITEITDOWN, very simple. This is one of the many times that my and my colleagues order was prepared wrong. So unfortunate that such a great place has such unpleasant workers! The food is amazing and deserves 5 stars but the service is just upsetting and horrible in the bagel section hence the 3 star review.

Stopped by this evening on my way thru Teaneck. Heard great things about the place. Store was very quiet for a Sunday night. Ordered 2 New York Special(regular slices) and one«Grandma» slice. Had to wait(like others have stated here) a good 10 – 15 minutes for 3 slices to come out off the oven. All this while they had like 3 separate guys working the counter! Was starving, so I hoped they would be good. WRONG. I have never eaten such horrible, unpleasant, vile kosher pizza in ages. It didn’t even look good. Unflavorful, tasted like raw cheese on cardboard. No flavor, no seasoning, no effort put into it. The grandma slice was vile as well. My wife ended up throwing out half of it. Only ate the other half because she was starving! All this drek after waiting a good 13 – 15 minutes for these slices! Expensive prices for garbage food. I highly suggest anyone looking for good kosher pizza in the Teaneck area AVOIDSAMMY’S if possible. While the store may look«nice», the food is NOT!

While I was excited they remodeled this place and added extra seating I have never witnessed this place in such discord. The manager Joanne is horrible. She is rude, unfriendly and frankly doesn’t seems that she cares about the customers and is running this place into the ground. WAKEUPOWNER! I have never seen this place so filthy dirty. From the bathrooms, to the floors to the tables, this place is gross and needs to be cleaned. Also place is in utter chaos now all the time… even when it is not busy. Everyone just seems like they don’t know what is going on and they don’t care. It is such a shame… maybe if they had management that cared things would be different.

Took 12 min for them to put my 2 slices in oven. I asked about the order and said«you just put them in the oven?» He gave me a smart ass reply like. I can’t help u. You want it cold then? Meanwhile guy next to me asks. Am I invisible? He was waiting to place an order for 5 min. Pizza ain’t even that good. Small slices and expensive.

Love this place! I tried this place for the first time by accident. during lunch a coworker and I were going to try that tai place on the same block but got lost going there and realized we wouldnt have enough time so went to sammys instead. I saw it was kosher and thought it would be expensive but the prices were actually fair! The pizza was so good too!!! Ever since then i go here a lot and bring others as well! Everyone I introduced loves it! Omg they added a café and its even better now! They have 3 in one, deli, café, and pizzeria with other Italians dishes and more! Its a great place and the service is always good!!!

If I could skip a star I would give them zero stars. Every time I order food something gets messed up. My company ordered pizza from here for an order over $ 100 and they didn’t deliver. When trying o call 3 times no one knew what to tell us, and it was too late to order from somewhere else. The food is good but it comes with a higher cost as well as the most miserable services I have ever seen, and the owner does nothing to fix it. He is greedy for the high prices but not for client retentions. Puppy’s and Mocha Bleu are far better!

The bagels are awesome here but the service is slow and have a separate station for coffee. The coffee station took forever to get a latte. I was half done with my excellent bagel and took away from my rating experience. I will next time take my bagel to go.

The people who work here are incredibly rude. I have been several times and each time I have been treated like I was bothering them from standing around and rolling their eyes at the customers. The pizza is good but the customer service is so disrespectful it is enough to keep me from going back.

These people are beyond rude. I called at 1:30pm and ordered a pizza for delivery at 3:30pm. The people ran my credit card and said the pizza would be there by 3:30pm. At 4:30 when the food had not yet arrived I called to ask where my food was. The lady just said, oh, we have no driver today. No apology, no attempt to fix the problem, nothing. This place is just the worst. Don’t even bother unless you want to be treated poorly. Now I have to figure out what I am going to do for dinner. Awesome.

I am not kosher but whenever I’m in the area this is my preferred fast fresh food in this area. The falafel is exceptional and the salads are fresh reach time that I have come. The personal pizza is really large enough for two people and the crust is very unique, a cross between a Sicilian and neopolitan dough. Also with 2 little kids and a wife the total bill was $ 45 dollars for 4 sit down meals and drinks and the restaurant is sit down self serve. The bottom line is the food is tasty fresh, delicious and on a families budget. Many of the reviews were malicious and simply not true.

I know they are technically two different storefronts, but I’m treating the bagels and dairy place as one. The bagels are of the best, if not best bagels I have ever had. Heavily flavorful, soft, fresh, with a rather unique, amazing texture. The bagels are one of my favorite things about living in Teaneck so far. The pizza/dairy place I had avoided a few times, because since it looked really nice, I figured it would be very expensive for cheap food and not worth it over EJ’s across the street(which I liked, but not loved). I still have not yet tried the actual pizza, which I hope to change soon, because it looks really good, and the selection of slices is fantastic, but their other food was no disappointment at all. We got a ravioli dish for $ 8, and were worried it would be tiny for that price(Comparable places we have been to had been charging in the $ 12-$ 16 range for ravioli), so we asked the server how large it was. He responded«a lot». Very specific measurement indeed, but we didn’t believe him until it came. Well, it had a solid 10 – 15 pieces, and it was topped on a bed of fettuccine, so yeah, I guess that’s «a lot», especially for the price. Why they don’t advertise the fettuccine is beyond me. $ 8 for all of that is an incredible deal, not to mention it tasted fantastic. Not the best pasta I have ever had, but definitely by far the best I’ve had in a Pizza place. We also got mozzarella sticks which actually were the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, big, and perfect amount of cheese, with quality marinara as a dipping sauce. The chairs were rolly and comfortable, also unique for a pizza place, and the service was decent. Prices were more than fair, and food was incredible. I’m very glad to live so close to Sammy’s Pizza and Bagels.

I would have given 4 stars for my pesto mozzarella panini but I was really pissed when the prices on the menu were lower than what I was charged. When I asked why, I was directed to a sticker on the back corner of the menu saying«prices have been ‘updated’». Just be straightforward please!

3.5 minutes to make a salad that should’ve taken about 1 minute to make. Got back to my office and it was basically a bowl of lettuce with a few other things added all for the low low price of $ 7.50. So basically we have a crap product with terrible service that’s quite a bit over prices. Sitting down for prolonged period of time seems a daunting task as I was so clearly raped! Seriously though… inexcusable in my book and I for one will do everything possible to get lunch elsewhere.

Short and sweet post here… also, may be the most jewishy post ive ever made. **embraces the inner jew** These bagels are fan-freaking-tastic. Some of the best you can get in North NJ. Especially when they’re fresh. Oh my god, when I’m up at 6:35 and i see them pouring out the trays of fresh bagels, my mouth starts watering. Plus, their prep technique is great, they’re geniuses– they slather on cream-cheese. That is their Simple yet elegant solution to making a great bagel. Their flavored selections of cream-cheese are all I can think about sometimes. I wish they got strawberry flavored cream-cheese though, cali style, you know. Toasted everything bagel with lettuce tomatoe and loxspread=heaven. They’re fast, efficient and get you on with your life… one bagel at a time. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - Their pizza is Ok, ive had better. Step it up guys. hone your craft and don’t allow yourself to embrace mediocrity. I know you make money selling what you sell but make that flavor pop. You inhabit the space that used to house Plaza Pizza(pours out the manischewitz to my homeboys). Respect that fact by rocking our taste-buds with awesome cheesey goodness. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Deli deals on weekends are my favorite thing ever. Sandwich, sides and a drink all under $ 15 bucks. Count me in. It’s like Boston Market for Jewish people. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Sammy’s keep up expanding your empire. I hope you take over the world so I don’t have to travel to Teaneck to get awesome bagels.

It’s a pizza, sandwich, gelato, pasta, bagel kosher joint. Clean. Decent pizza. No shellfish or meat here. It’s a dairy restaurant. Treif beware!
