As a resident of Tehachapi under a year this place has been great. I started going here while it was owned by Steve, a great guy. The beers here is great and under the new owner, Tyson, the options have grown. The new Triple IPA is fucking unbelievable(don’t have more than one if your driving). If you get Tyson talking about beer making you will meet a guy that is more passionate about Beer than Katy Perry is about kissing a girl. HWB has a great staff as well. Chelsea, Laci and Meg… You make HWB where everyone knows your name. You make the place. As a new Tehachapi resident this is the place where I meet people. Shout out to the regulars who have made me feel like Tehachapi family. Pat, Mike, Ron, Sean, Mark and Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike… So many Mikes I told them to start calling me Nick.

Fun, flavorful beer! Always something new and interesting on tap, from coconut hefeweizen to an ultra-pale. The signature #2 brown ale is not to be missed but if you found another favorite that’s easy to understand. We’ve taken to bringing in food from nearby but the pizza and Mexican places deliver. Don’t let the industrial park environment deter you: here there be beer!

It was hard to find and once we got there it was closed but we ended up going for lunch and coming back. There were a lot of beers to choose from and we ended up getting 2 flights(4 tasters each). The maple porter was my favorite; I think thy used too much hops(?) In the others because they all had bitter after tastes including the ones that shouldn’t have. They were intereating though– i didnt try all of them but i noticed thwy had a lot of flavired beers that would be fun to taste next time im up there. The girl serving us was so sweet; I really enjoyed her company! And the atmosphere was pretty neat.

This place is great! I stopped in here with some friends during a weeklong camping trip and had some of their great beer! My personal favorite is the 93xxx Pale(I can’t remember the rest of the number). The waitress is great and I even had the privilege to meet the owner briefly. Keep it up guys! I’ll be back if I ever get up that way again!

This not just the worst beer I’ve ever had, but quite possibly the worst liquid I’ve ever ingested. I’ve tried most of their varieties and not one was any good at all. I absolutely love IPAs, but theirs is so foul I didn’t even drink a quarter of it. Their hefeweizen tasted like expired beer that sat in the sun for a few weeks. Their brew master needs to find a new career because he’s managed to single handedly create the absolute worst in every category of beer. I honestly didn’t think you could even ruin beer this badly. One star is being generous, if I could rate them even lower, I would. It’s a shame that Tehachapi’s first brewery is quite possibly the worst in the history of alcoholic beverages. Edit: I’ve been told by a few people that it’s changed ownership and has a new brew master since I last tried it. I’ll have to give it a shot again and will be updating my review accordingly.

We came to Tehachapi with a friend who grew up there and had not yet been back to see/visit Honey Wagon Brewing, so, as San Diego beer snobs, we were pretty pumped. Visited on a Friday night and it was fairy busy, but still easy to get the bartender’s attention/order more beer. We ordered three flights of tasters, having decided that we should try all before we make the very serious commitment of buying a full beer. We really enjoyed most of the beers we tried, especially the Natalie Porter, Quaker Shaker, and S&M Blonde. It’s pretty great to try a flight of beers and like nearly all of them. The bartenders were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the brewery itself was clean and well-maintained. We’ll definitely be back.

I love this place and stop any time I go through Tehachapi. The owner is very hands-on and nice. The beer is great and the industrial building it is in provides a relaxing environment. They don’t serve food but have arrangements with local places to deliver there. The Snob IPA and Stepchild are my favorite beers here but the menu changes frequently and provides a lot of variety.

We’ve been here a few times now and I can’t say enough good about it. The atmosphere alone is so welcoming. The patrons are all so welcoming. The staff are so happy and helpful. There’s a nice large taproom a bar and a great outdoor area. The beer is great and there’s 10 different kinds to choose from as well as some amazing Blends. They
