Very disappointed with this photographer. Tried for a couple weeks to schedule a date. Ben kept giving vague responses and started saying he might be going on vacation, but would never get back to me for sure, just went silent. I understand being busy or out of town, but I do expect a response if the answer is going to be a «no». Very unprofessional.

We are very happy with Ben’s work and level of professionalism. Although he is based in Telluride, he is very reasonably priced and didn’t charge us extra for traveling almost 2 hours roundtrip to/​from our site.
He answered our tedious questions over the phone, and his deposit requirement and contract terms are thorough but easy to navigate. We met him in Telluride about 6 months before the event where he showed us his proof book and online client galleries, and we liked him even more in person (for all that he may seem reticent with clients, his «voice» is through his lens!). We kept in touch via brief e-​mails over several months, then he called 2 days before the event to confirm details. On the day-​of, he showed up 15 minutes early.
Ben’s photojournalistic style is unintrusive so do not expect him to give much direction unless you tell him what you want. Therefore, if you want certain pictures (posed or otherwise), be VERY specific and inform him of your list beforehand.
We received a link to our online gallery with all of our promised post-​processed photos within TWO WEEKS! A week later, we received our thumbdrive and proof book in the mail. The end results are stunning and we love our photos!
