I dont even know what to say really. Between the pictures and the reviews, I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time(well their brunch). But since I was in the neighborhood on a Friday night I decided to check it out. I had a salad that had fried chickpeas on it(i dont remember the name). My daughter had the pork sliders and we shared the bacon seasoned fries. I didnt like my salad, she said the sliders were ok at best, and neither one of us liked the fries which left a weird lingering after taste. Our server was super nice, and the place had a really cool atmosphere, like it would be super cool to get drinks and watch the game.

My husband and I came to 1909 for our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. Katie was great and made sure everything was set up perfectly. The service and food was outstanding as well. They even made us cute personalized menus with our names on them with a set menu for our guest to pick from. They are very reasonable with pricing and everyone enjoyed their food. I highly recommend 1909 for everyday eating and especially for you’re rehearsal dinner if you are getting married in the area

The last time I went I had a great Turkey burger. I don’t eat red meat which usually limits my selection. To my disappointment they discontinued the Turkey burgers. I only had a chicken burger to choose from. The chicken was a thin filet that was very dry. I tried three different sauces to flavor it a little but to no avail. The waitress took it off my bill which I appreciated. My husbands hamburger was just to his liking and he was very happy with it. I hope that they will consider bringing the turkey burger back. Otherwise the atmosphere was great and I can’t say enough nice things about the waitress and help. They were great.

Are you a nay-sayer who still thinks we are going through tough times? The tough part here is deciding which burger to choose. Our lunch stop here ended up as a seduction by a beautiful, half pound«1909 Burger». Big enough to share, super juicy, slathered with sweet onion bacon jam, and topped with arugula. That is not tough… it is tasty. We polished it off with abandon. Hey, those homemade potato chips made a fast exit too. If that wasn’t enough, after asking for a sample of their tomato bisque soup, we convinced ourselves we needed a bowl. This one is a good one, sporting a southwestern flavor(a mild jalapeño taste) and healthier because of the chunky carrots and celery. I can highly recommend this, as terrified a wimp as I am when it comes to hot and spicy. Although the inside is quite dark and hipster, even a really cool bar, we chose to sit outside on the patio, the mister spraying a fine mist to keep us comfortable while we gawked at unending traffic on Front Street. Ah well, maybe not the most preferable of activities to watch, but Old Town is such a fun place to visit regardless. We came away happy, great food, great service. I think this is probably one of the better choices of places to eat when passing through Old Town. Good choice!

O my GOSH. This place is wonderful! We searched gastro pub in Temecula on Unilocal.Saw food pics and decided to give it a try. We parked kinda far and it was crazy hot. But man were we refreshed when we got sat down on the shaded patio. It is a huge very open bar with a just as large patio on the old town street, perfect for people watching. There were five or six tables sat when we arrived and boy it got busy after we ordered. We brought our puppy with us and boy was he in for a treat. With out us even asking they presented a water bowl for him with ice cubes and a doggy menu. the items were cheese burger, chicken breast and rice, and I think a steak. The prices were $ 6-$ 10. It was so big he didn’t even finish. We took a doggy bag home lol Anyways the menus are paper style and they have a lot of vegetarian options. It ranges from wing appetizers and ahi to steak pasta and burger entrees. We decided on the crab and shrimp empanadas with a corn relish for an app. DEFINATILY on my top ten things I’ve eaten list. After savoring that for a while we ordered the 1909 burger with a steak patty onion jelly and cheese. The bun was very soft and golden on the outside. We paired that with the bbq tasting fries. They give you lots of side options. We also ordered the pear and gorgonzola salad. I cant remember what it was called but it also had walnuts on it. I ordered it by it’s self but it came out with grilled chicken on it. Good thing I’m a carnivore. They felt bad for messing u and gave it to us on the house. I’ll take the hospitality :] Lastly ill talk about the drinks I am a craft cocktail fan and they were great! I enjoy whiskey and I picked the one whiskey drink that the server said was not popular and drank the whole thing quickly. Can u imagine how good the popular ones are? My boyfriend had the raspberry mule. It was sooo refreshing and not super sweet at all! Great experience and a wonderful staff. Very friendly to my dog and ourselves. I was very grateful that the food, presence and design was all 5stars for me. If I ever need another serving job in my life I may apply here!

Yep… we are now fans! Loved this from the moment we laid eyes on the joint! Came here early Monday evening after a few winery stops. We were taken care of by the nicest, most informative waitress. She was truly a delight(I wish I rememebered her name. I know… I suck). We started out with the chicharrones, presented nicely on a large metal serving platter, accompinied by a salt shaker, half a lime, and Tapatio. These bad boys were thick, huge, and plentiful. Definitely good for 4 people. Next up, the shredded pork slider with a side of the bacon/sea salt fries for the Hubzz and the 1909 Burger with the homemade potato chips for me. My burger was cooked to perfection! Topped with a bacon jam that blew my mind. The shredded pork sliders were beautifully topped with a perfectly cooked sunny side up quail egg. Unfortunately, the gorgeous quail egg didn’t provide the umph and moisture that a larger egg would, making this sandwich a bit dry(perfect for me, no so much for him). Maybe adding some bbq sauce would do the trick. Sided with a fabulous asian slaw, it was the perfect size portion. TIP: Wine and beers reflect the local gems of this area. Go… and enjoy!

I had a mixed experience with 1909. We booked them for a rehearsal lunch and welcome party(day before the wedding). The event manager, Katie, was great at our first meeting — very personable and accommodating. She gave us sample menus and pricing and was very flexible with our special requests. I emailed her the next day to get more info about the space for both events. I didn’t get an email back but got a rushed call a week or so later asking me to book right away because other people wanted the space. I committed on the phone and followed up with an email but still didn’t get anything back from her in writing. The issues we had were with the rehearsal lunch, from the initial sales pitch and meeting it sounded like a great deal — reserved patio for our guests, custom printed menu, entrée, started and cocktail for each person. What came out only a week or so before was that the $ 25 price didn’t include the cocktail or starter. So all of a sudden we were getting a $ 12 burger & a soda, but paying $ 25/per person(plus tax and gratuity). The extra money was for the custom menus and event fee. We had been moved to the covered patio(a simi-private space) because a larger group had booked our original space. We were also given the brunch menu which had even cheaper options than the lunch menu. When we expressed that we unhappy with the newly explained situation, Katie recommended that we just do a lunch reservation for our group(30 people) and let everyone order off the regular menu. This would have worked out ok, but ultimately we decided to move the event. It was a very difficult thing to figure out and scramble to change less than 2 weeks before our wedding. The communication with the venue was really hard and I wish it had been easier to get answers. On a positive note, we really liked the food and atmosphere. We had lunch there one day to try the menu items and really liked the dishes.(Pro tip: Try anything with the bacon salt!) The restrooms are clean and parking is easy. Overall, it seems like a great spot for a meal but if you want to have an event, get the details all in writing and have a good back up plan.

Super cute restaurant in old town. A bonus besides their meat bloody Mary’s. They’re dog friendly! But I think only on the patio side(it’s covered). The bloody Mary’s take about like 15 – 20 minutes because of the chicken wings. There’s a meat stick you can use as a straw. The food does take a while to come out which was a bummer since we were all starving. And the service was a bit confusing. We started off with one server, then another server came and took over and then our first server came by again. Food was good though, I definitely recommend their burger. Definitely gonna be a fun place during the summer.

Pro: Yummy food, chill atmosphere, Takes reservation with a party over 8 people. Con: Sub par staff to guest ratio, kitchen can’t cook fish properly, management lacks care. Oh, Haley. I don’t know what in word happened over lunch today. I want to get some answer from your manager after a few mistakes to figure out if you were just caught up with the Memorial Day rush with the mid management cutting back on staff or you are just simply incompetent. Our party showed up at 12:20. Our orders were taken around 12:45. It was busy, so I understood the delay. Frankly, all the other tables were having issues getting service in general. Not a single table manage to get more than one refill on drinks. Bar service takes about 25 minutes per round. Refills on tea will just get you warm tea, no ice are in sight. Now, the food was pretty good, have to give the chefs credit for that. However, a side salmon for a side was forgotten. No big, the issue is when cut into, it was raw pink. Another one was brought over by Haley in about 3 minutes — very clear she just jacked it from another starving and waiting customer. Still raw pink. By the time the over cook salmon came by, it’s been 25 minutes, no Haley in sight for that time. Once again, all the other dishes was top notice. I asked for the manager to inform him of the dangerous fish, especially to children. He doesn’t seem to care or was too busy to care. Upon asking about Haley’s service, he told me that she must of been on break. Knowing that I wasn’t getting anywhere, we paid and left the place. So, get your food to go, skip the fish. Enjoy.

We were in town for a baseball tourney and this place was highly recommended by a few baseball families. We headed out to see what all the talk was about. We called ahead and put our name in for 7pm, we were sitting by 705pm. The atmosphere was nice, we opted to sit outside in the covered(by fabric) patio, it was a bit chilly but they had heaters that warmed us right up. The waitress attended to us promptly getting our drink orders, confirming with us before taking our 7&9 year Olds root beer float order(before dinner), she even said«make sure you eat all your dinner», which is exactly what we just told the boys. The meal : Appetizers: goat cheese and tomato with grilled baguettes. yummy, warm, melt and full of flavor. We also ordered French fries with bacon salt, these were amazing. the boys wanted to order more but we knew we had lots of food coming soo we held back. dinner : hubs had the 1909 burger… he ordered it well done(I prefer medium rare) it was cooked perfectly and was delicious. kid 1 ordered sliders he opted for no cheese(a bit of a healthy eater), he said the Patty was salty and so I tried it and yup lots of salt, he opted for no mayo or. ketchup so it was super dry but otherwise nothing out of the ordinary. kid 2 ordered the angus mini corn dogs, these sounded so good but he didn’t like them at all and when I tasted them I didn’t seem to care for them much either, the batter was not the usual sweet batter and was a bit too tempura-ee(yeah I made that up) for me. the dog was a big fat piece of meat and also a bit on the salty side but it is a hot dog after all. finally me: i was torn between a few things but asked the waitress what the chef selection was and she described a scallop and asparagus linguine in a garlic cream sauce, what I got was a sticky mess of pasta in a tomato based pasta(not creamy garlic) with overdone scallops with a hint of garlic the linguine was Al dente in some spots, mushy in others and several of my noodles were stuck at the ends in chunks. I tried to eat it but it was just bland and not good at all. I didn’t complain I even asked for a box this was indeed a $ 28.00 specialty so I figured I’d doctor it up a bit at the hotel room and eat it then. The waitress noticed that I didn’t eat much and asked if I liked it, I honestly said no and she asked why I didn’t tell her, she said they would have replaced it and offered at that time to get me something else. I had already eaten everyone’s leftovers(which is why I can review them) so I opted not too, so she took it off the bill. No manager needed, no big seen made, just simply no big deal. The waitress recommended to my hubs the peanut butter stout, he loves beer, loves trying new things, was worried he wouldn’t like it but he said it was very good and he should have had another. Overall a great experience! next time I’ll try the veggie sandwhich, or rack of lamb. BTW… the chef selection changes weekly so maybe next time I’ll try that again!

Gotta show some love for 1909 today. Stopped in for Happy Hour about 4:00, we sat at the bar, and most the time we were there we were the only ones, but I’m certain it was the calm before the storm. We had the Blueberry Wings, Mini Corn Dogs & Crab and Shrimp Empanadas. DELICIOUSNESS. Everything tasted great. Bartender served up a mean Sangria and Ice water with lemon. All around great experience, from greeting by hostess at the front to service from the bartenders at the bar. Good Job 1909. I have to throw a plug in here for another Old Town Place, Lukes on the Roof you both seem to have what’s needed to be successful in Old Town. Have a great summer season & Keep doing what your doing! Cool looking spot right in the heart of Old Town Temecula. We didn’t have trouble landing a table on a late Sunday morning despite big crowds on Front Street and a long wait at the Swing Inn Café(making that spot a priority next time). We were seated right away at a table on the porch right next to the sidewalk. Service is really friendly though. We tried the chicken sammie, 1909 french toast, and the biscuits and sausage gravy. The sammie was ok, but not remarkable. Chicken was moist though. The french toast looked really good, but I just wasn’t crazy about it. It was really thick, and so it just seemed like bread with tart poached berries on top. I would have been fine with half an order at half the price. But the biscuits and gravy was the piece de resistance. By which I mean, resist it. It was terrible. The biscuit was hard and crumbly, and the gravy was not enough to salvage it. Another couple minutes in the oven and it would have been biscotti. Coffee is outstanding though.

This was my first time at this great restaurant! Service was beyond exceptional! Even on a busy Sunday there was no wait. The food was to full of flavor and very unique. Our waiter was awesome and was always there when we needed something. Needless to say we spent about 5 hours there! And the drinks #wow! This place is a must if you visit old town, the food the drinks and the service were all great !

I remember visiting here when it first opened in old town… The food was forgettable — just okay but expensive for what you got. Service was meh. Fast forward to last night. Decided to take a chance since there were so many good reviews. Greeted warmly by Alix(with an ‘i’) … So very helpful and pleasant. We ordered drinks first — I told her I wanted something spicy like with habanero or pepper in it. Nothing on the menu like that but her and the bartender collaborated and made me a really yummy drink that was exactly what I was asking for(had to order a second one). We split a bison burger that was very tasty. This was such a different experience from my first time here. And Alix was super helpful, super friendly and on point with the orders… Will be back…

Came here for my birthday. I reserved a table for 15 people and got approved by the lovey manager. Thank you very much. We came a few minutes late and got seated right away with my family. Even though a few people came late they still accommodated us with drinks and appetizers. I’m sorry I forgot the lady who was serving us, but whoever was working on Friday April 29th at 8pm inside was very great at serving us. She was awesome and very patient with us. The food and drinks were amazing. Had my famous ginger ale and Jameson. And my bf got his regular fish tacos and old fashion. I ordered something different this time which was the Mac and cheese with pork belly. It was so good.. By the end of the night they brought me this delicious brownie/ice cream dessert. I’m so thankful for that totally made my night. Wish I took more pictures, but I like to live in the moment rather than over a phone. Thanks so much for a great birthday. I heard great reviews on your Sunday brunch and we will be back for your bloody Mary’s.

One of my favorite new finds so far this year! The food here was delicious and on par with gastropub fare in the beach cities of MB and Hermosa. I was driving on the 15 and starving when Unilocal guided me here; luckily I was not disappointed. Stopped here for brunch before the husband and I got some wine tasting in! We sat in the bar area, so we didn’t even have to wait. It was an interesting set up as the room was narrow and our two-seater was also narrow. We were sitting against the back wall which was nice as I had my back supported; I try to avoid sitting on uncomfortable on bar stools with no back. Service was great! Like i said, the bar area is a little tight, but our server maneuvered skillfully though the tables and checked on us throughout our meal. If I were to recommend anything, it would be the crab & shrimp empanadas — it came in a serving of 3, but I’d prob order a double next time! They were fried, but not greasy and SO flavorful with the corn and cotija cheese topping. I told my husband to make them and we were trying to figure out if there was cream cheese in them or queso fresco, but we ate too quickly, lol. Also, I like how their water and ice tea come in huge glasses so you don’t need to keep asking for a refill. The 1909 french toast was also a winner. This was different with the marsala poached berries, cinnamon nutmeg whipped cream and sprinkling of cayenne. It sounded like a strange combo, but it all worked out amazingly in my mouth! My husband got the rib eye has and he ate all the beef, but left the potatoes! hahaha. He said there was too much potato, but otherwise the dish was good. They have a varied beer and cocktail list. There are the typical brunch drinks like bloody marys, mimosas and sangria. I opted for sparking cocktail called the Dear Helen. It has St. germaine, sauv. blanc and sparkling wine. I thought this was a fun alternative to a mimosa. I had never been to Old Town Temecula, but now I know where to eat at when I return. 1909 was a great brunch spot!

The BF and I came here last night for a date night dinner. It was SO good! We sat on the patio because it was super nice out still around 6PM. There were plenty of heaters for when the wind kicked up and it got a chill. For food, we had the goat cheese & tomato sauce which was great! It was kind of random though, that it only came with 4 pieces of bread. I would definitely say it needs like 2 more for the amount of goat cheese/tomato sauce they give you. For our main, I was split between the free range chicken and the pork belly mac & Cheese. Our server suggested ordering a kids mac & cheese to see if we liked it. He said its made the same, but the kids doesn’t have the pork belly or the peppers & onions. So my boyfriend ordered the kids mac & cheese and he also ordered the 1909 burger. Which led my decision to the free range chicken! The food was pretty good. The goat cheese & tomato sauce was AMAZING. The mac and cheese was good also. I definitely want to try the pork belly when I go back! My boyfriend’s burger was great as well! And the fries that came with it had bacon salt(or something like that) and they were really good also. My boyfriend was in love with that burger though. He said he could tell that it was made in house. My chicken was pretty good. The sauce they poured over it though, was not great. I kept tasting an egg white type taste in the sauce and I didn’t like it very much. but I scraped it off everything and the rest of my dinner was great. The chicken was cooked perfect and the mashed potatoes and veggies were amazing! The BF had a few different beers, I know one was their 1909 brew and he liked it a lot. I can’t remember the name of the other but he really liked it also. It was an unfiltered IPA. I ordered a cider, which I didn’t really pay attention to when I was ordering. It was a chai spice cider. It was different for sure, but it was good. Our server was great also. He was on top of everything and definitely was helpful when we needed suggestions. I can’t wait to go back. I really want to try their bison burger!

This place is aaaaaawesome! As soon as I walked in I was totally feeling the vibe of it all; perfect location on a busy street corner, perfect weather, and a TON of fun people! It’s really hard nowadays to find a decent, fun place for brunch(more specifically with bottomless mimosas ;) but this place is IT! The patio seating is perf for people/car/and bike watching. The only downside to that, is that it can get SOLOUD with the cars and bikes passing by every couple of minuets showing off for the crowd. The patio is also pet friendly so you know, there is always going to be those not so well behaved pooches. Oh well! The beers and drinks are all reasonably priced, and if you are an Old Fashioned connoisseur, you absolutely HAVETOTRY the one here!(and watch them make it is possible) I will most definitely be back!

Visiting my hometown and wanted to try out this place. I went to high school with the family who owns this place which is also exciting. The outside building is awesome, old antique store from way back. Real cool metal work throughout. The only thing I didn’t care for is patio was a little cramped. Service was great. Drinks were cold and delicious. Average prices. I had the 1909 burger which was one of the best burgers for as long as I can remember. The ladies had fish tacos which they enjoyed. I would highly recommend this place for anyone in downtown temecula looking for great service, Cold drinks and delicious food. Cheers!
