I was looking for a new Rheumatologist as my prior one no longer takes my insurance. Knowing this when I called their office I insisted that they call my insurance company to verify that they took my insurance. I followed back up with them and both Alma and Susie insured me that I was covered. I show up to my appointment, filled out the paperwork and Alma informs me that I am out of Network. I got on the phone and contacted my Insurance and sure enough that was correct. I went back and spoke to Alma and told her that when I made this appointment I was very adamant about them verifying my insurance. She said she was just doing what she was told. So They never did verify my insurance, until I showed up at their office. They wanted me to pay full price to see the Dr. hmmmm, of course I was livid. This doctor seemed only interested in collecting my deductible. I lost 2 hours from work going to an appointment that should never had been made to begin with. This office is very incompetent, money hungry people… I walked out of course… Never did see the Dr. This was at their Hemet office, however Maria is located at their Temecula office BEWARE!!!

We can’t say enough good things about Dr. Mehta … He is an exceptional doctor and has helped my husband when no one else had any idea what was wrong with him(an auto immune disease). He is very easy to talk with and we love his staff as well

I have to agree with the only other review regarding this Doctor. My Doctor whom I repect and appreciate for them taking care of me and my gout needs referred me to Dr. Mehta’s office, whom over the last 4 days I have been able to speak with many of the staff regarding my situation in which the Doctor is unwilling to assist me and my needs. I have a situation with pain regarding gout that has me on Prednisone and Percocet for the last 2 weeks and needing help with taking care of the situation, unfortunatley for me I have to wait over 3 weeks to see Dr. Mehta. I explained how dire my situation is, with the only reply back from the Doctor and staff that the Dr. was not able to see me until 3 weeks later. Sorry… but if you have a referral from your Dr. and the situation is elevated due to contstant pain and medication and you can’t even see the Dr. then this isn’t the place for me or a relationship i want. I took the advice of Suzanne S. and called the SD Arthritis Medical Center who took me with open arms and I will be seeing them within 48 hours. Thanks SD Arthritis Medical Center. Go to them… you will not be sorry.

My wonderful Dermatologist retired and I went for my first appointment with what I thought was going to be my new doctor. If you have Rheumatoid Arthritis you know that you are susceptible to illnesses because you have a low immune system. The first thing I noticed was the extremely small seating area that was filled with people that looked very ill. Three of them were coughing so badly that they sounded like they had pneumonia. The waiting room was oppressively warm and that, along with the non stop coughing, made me want to put a scarf over my mouth and nose. The other thing that bothered me was while I felt great and had no swelling, as a result of the treatment San Diego Arthritis has been giving me, all of these people were swollen, using walkers and canes and looked pretty uncomfortable with their disease. I sat down and filled out all of my forms. ONEHOURANDFORTY-FIVE minutes later, watching people filing in and out of the doctors office and getting really peeved, I asked the receptionist for an estimate on how much longer I would have to wait. She looked at me as if she had recently undergone a lobotomy and started fiddling with her computer. She mumbled a few people’s names and never did look back at me. I said, «I don’t think this is the doctor for me,» and promptly left. It seems like Dr. Mehta or his wife or his associates have the entire Temecula, Menifee, Murrieta and Hemet area pretty well covered as far as Rheumatology goes, so I am going back to San Diego. It’s worth the drive!!! P. S. He kept his payment
