Not sure why the reviews aren’t too great for this place! My husband and I went here for dinner tonight and had a great time. Staff was attentive and cheerful and the food was delicious! While we did not have any wine from this winery, my husband had the fish of the day, I had a turkey club sandwich, and we both had mixed drinks. Will definitely be going back!

Despite the descent food, beautiful ambiance, and great wine, the service at this restaurant are lacking.

I am definitely a fan. The best part of being part of Thornton winery is that lunch and wine tasting is great here. I love the bread and the goat cheese along with the available wine flights that are offered here. The chocolte wine flight is my fav! I have tried several dinner options here as well which have not been disappointing, especially the deserts. Oh my! I cant wait to come back again asap …

Came here for lunch and the food was great. Even better was the service. All of the staff were friendly and prompt. I could have asked for a better experience with a girls lunch date. Definitely try the baked Brie. I think the price is reasonable for the great food.

I could eat a whole plate of beer battered fries. Our server was prompt and courteous, and sitting outside on their large patio was perfect for our day of wine tasting. The ahi appetizer came with these delicious homemade crackers, which I would definitely order again. My hubby loved his Portobello sandwich, and that says something since he’s a meat and potatoes guy. We will be back for sure.

Great views of the vineyards from the dinning too, they have indoor and outdoor(semi enclosed) seating. The food was very good, the Flat Iron steak was seasoned well. They have a $ 20 taste 4 wines that is a great option!

Love the wine flights. Food is always delicious, and high quality. On the pricey side. Cioppino was excellent. Have had the Tuna melt, the club sandwich, the burger, several different soups. They have all been really good. The artichoke appetizer is yummy, as is the bread & goat cheese. Cheers!

A huge menu, with lots of options. The wedge salad was excellent, as was the passilla pepper soup. I had the carcuterie for my lunch. We also ordered the salmon which was cooked almost perfectly. Lots of wines to choose from, by the glass. The outdoor area has a great view, lots of fans, and a great and relaxing vibe.

I love this place. We come here at least twice a month. They have a great membership special. You get two tasting flights a day free plus 10% discoid on meals. The crème brûlée is outstanding

Great place. We took a helicopter from raven helicopters and flew up for lunch and a little wine tasting.

The owners of this winery/Restaurant are running this establishment into the ground. Everything here is way below average and the prices are ridiculous. The restaurant décor is old and musty, the service sucks and the food is inconsistent as well as overpriced. This beautiful location deserves better owners. Before the Thorntons took over management of this place, Café Champagne was a primeur eatery in the Temecula Valley…

Hmm, this is a problematic place. The food was good. Not great, not horrible, just good. However, the wine actually tasted watered down. Seriously, I’ve never tasted wine that actually seemed like it had water added to it. I’m sure that’s not the case, and I probably just had a bad glass or something. I would actually give it a two stars based on this experience, but the view and the service bumps it up to three.

Yummy brunch. We ordered the tuna melt and fries dish. It came with a complimentary glass of Thornton champagne. The champagne was delicious. Made me want to walk over to purchase a bottle. They also offered wine and champagne tasting flights while you ate. Service was really good too. I would definitely come back again. The couple across from us was having the eggs benedict and it looked YUMMY! Next time I plan on trying that dish.

Not sure why the reviews are so low. The décor leaves a bit to be desired. Food is fantastic! The wife and I had filet mignon cooked perfectly and the service was excellent. Our server recommended and comped a few wines. Fantastic service!

Not sure why this place has such low reviews because it was perfectly fine for me. The winery as a whole is a nice place and it was no problem for me to take the wine I already had from the bar into the restaurant with me. You can sit inside or outside in the covered patio. The patio has space heaters so if it is cold fear not. The service was average. I met some friends for brunch and all three of us were satisfied with our orders. The brunch menu has a good variety of choices and everything includes a glass of champagne so the price is fairly reasonable. I had the french toast, it was stuffed with apples and had a side of fruit and bacon. All items were good and I would have brunch here again.

The low reviews on this place had me worried. We purchased a dinner/concert package before I checked the reviews. I love to be pleasantly surprised! The food was amazing and the service for a large group event was impeccable. It could not have been any better. Excellent! Hats off to the chef this evening!!!

All I can say is DISAPPOINTED !!! Met a group of 12 ladies for a birthday celebratory lunch. The reservation was made weeks in advance, so they obviously expedited one larger group this day. Our waiter was horrible. So slow to get anything and when he did bring something it was wrong. Then we noticed he was the only waiter on !! Really ?? A beautiful winery setting, people coming in for food and you staff only ONE waiter? Ridicules! We were seated outside. The flies were annoying … The smell of sewage came through when the wind changed. Orders were messed up. Drinks were missed or just wrong. The food portions were small and my grilled chicken in my salad was dry and the lettuce looked brown. This place is very expensive !! Don’t come here to eat !!

My fiancé and I celebrated our 6th year anniversary here. The food blew me away to say the least. Specifically the brie pastry with caramel sauce. The service was also great. Their wine is fantastic as well. We took home a bottle of their«Kiss of Strawberry» which I would recommend to any wine lover. Also, when my fiancé told me that the reviews for this place were pretty bad I couldn’t believe it after the meal we had. There has got to be some pretty miserable diners out there or people that are just extremely hard to please.

Meh… I’ve been here a few times. Food is good, but not great. We had a reservation for Valentine’s Day– but was never told we were stuck with a $ 65 per person prefix meal. It was good, but not worth $ 130. Lobster ravioli had no lobster but a few shrimp. As for wine? I was embarrassed for them! Least expensive Cab was from Sonoma. Serious? Sonoma, less expensive than Temecula? Temecula is no Sonoma– Almost comical. I will never be back– ever! Too any other places nearby.

I wish I would have read some of the reviews on this place before going here. A few weeks back I went there randomly with a few friends and family members for dinner. We had never been there before just knew it was open later than most in wine country so we figured we would go check it out. The place itself is fairly dated looking. Thats OK but the food was absolutely horrific. The drinks were very expensive. A bottle of Thortons Chardonnay was like $ 50.00. Are you kidding me? That wine is not even as good as the 2 buck chuck at Trader Joes. The Salad was a total joke you could get a better one at Sizzler or Souplantation. Bad Wine, Bad Food, and EXTREMELYHIGH prices. Do not go to this place for dinner you will be very much disappointed and leave there with an empty wallet!
