pretty decent food, but not for the prices they are charging

The food was awesome! Followed by even awesomer margaritas. And for those who claimed that the salsa was watery, you obviously don’t know real salsa. They don’t use cornstarch to thicken the salsa… Just actual tomoatoes, tomatillos, onions, serrano chiles cilantro… real ingredients that release water. Had the shrimp and octopus cocktail and Chile verde… freakin’ dee-lish! Can’t wait to come to brunch on Sunday!

Went there for the first time and the food was delicious. I’m excited that they have a mariachi band on Friday’s, you don’t see that too often.

Pretty decent. Our waitress was very friendly. Tacos were OK. Salsa little subpar. Nachos were OK. Prices were pretty good. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 6 o’clock Tuesday. That’s right. Taco Tuesday! Something must be up for us to be the only people in there. Made me wonder.

If your looking for a great place to get mexican food, this is the place. Sunday morning all you can eat buffet. Everything I tried is delicious. They also have endless mimosa or bloodymary. The all you can eat buffet cost 10.95. Great price.

This is another place that I’ve been to several times and cannot believe I haven’t reviewed! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food at great prices and fantastic service, this place is definitely your place. My husband and I were in recently after soccer practice and we were hungry and thirsty. They sat us immediately and took our drink order. We both had margaritas. The margaritas were on the table faster than you can say«chimi changa». Chips and salsa were delivered immediately.(The salsa is to die for). The waiter took our order and before I finished my margarita, the food was brought out piping hot. My hubby had the carne asada burrito, I had a fish taco rice and beans.(I actually remove the fish and give to hubby and make tacos out of rice and beans since I don’t eat any meat). Everything was delicious. The service was friendly and fast. We had originally gone to Francescas Italian but were literally ignored for 15 minutes.(See review). Within the same amount of time we were ignored at the other place we were served food and given our drinks at Lorenzo Charro. BRAVO for the fantastic customer service. We give this place our highest recommendation. On a side note, the location is huge! There is Bar area, several seating areas and it looks like they host salsa dancing on different nights. Looks like fun. We plan to go check that out. This place is conveniently located at the south end of Old Town Temecula.

Yes! Fantastic margaritas, simply the best in Temecula. Great food and service from a great family. Highly recommended for good Mexican food. Lots of activities all week but come Friday for the mariachi band playing for the tables!

First time here, last time here. Where do I start… Party of just 2. Came in on a Friday night(not busy) to check this place out. Me and the hubby where on date night with no kids, Yay! Well our dinner was horrible. We waited so long for our food. We both had two rounds of chips and soda before our food came out. Keep in mind it’s only 2 of us. He ordered a shrimp cocktail and I ordered shrimp soup thinking that it should not be too long. Well I was WRONG! Took forever, finally we were eating. His shrimp cocktail was loaded with pico de gallo is all I could explain how the cup was served. A few pieces on avo and onion, 4 small shrimp. Really? Waited over and 45mins for that? My soup was so bland, even the potatoes were under cooked. Sad, sad, sad, can’t believe it. Top it off with this, it will blow your mind. The only reason we decided to eat here is because we had a gift certificate valid for $ 15 with the minimum purchase of $ 30. Our total bill $ 34.56(we have used these many times before at other locations no problem) the $ 15 should have been taken right off the top(like other places we’ve been) leaving the total of $ 19.56, we get the check back for $ 25.44? WTH you ask? Bottom of the check was a Sur Charge of $ 9.12 for what? They were tipping themselves. I asked why? His answer, «Well we have to add a 18% gratitude» IF it was a party of 8+ people yes go ahead, but it was just 2 people. I asked him to show me MY certificate stating this(mine didn’t) on it. He pulls out a paper dated from 01−15−15 showing for a $ 10 off… Am like where is the one we gave you with the current date of 11−13−15. No where to be found according to him. I asked him multiple times to show me ours and nothing. Ridiculous. I hate to be rude and cause a scene but this guy was over the top WRONG! I walked outside and let me husband take care of it. He walked out of there with still the incorrect bill. Scammers, it’s like a bait and switch if you ask me. Disappointed customer.

I really like this place!!! Family environment, the only problem is the omelet station they need a better system like numbers because they deliver the omelet to your table, and if the person don’t remember how you look like he is walking around looking for you… Otherwise great place!

Never coming here again, beer is warm, waited forever for 2 Cali burritos and shrimp cocktail, the shrimp was tough and rubbery, no hot sauce and this lonely lime, this place sucks, never again!

Surprisingly good and the brunch buffet was not your average Sunday buffet. The cheese enchiladas are great and a «must» when coming over for the first time. Wine was not that amazing fairly good but nothing special about it. Overall experience good it will fill your tummy without breaking your bank account.

The service here and cleanliness is second to none. Salsa and chips were yummy. Salsa not too spicy but lots of flavor. Chips were fresh and still warm. We had a fried burrito dessert(Apple) that was soooooooo good A MUSTTRY! It was addicting!

15 years in this valley and I’ve driven by this place on numerous occasions and never tried it. Unfortunately I can no longer say that. Now I want to start with the good and state that this restaurant is a very clean family owned business. The service is friendly and prompt enough. They obviously take pride in the physical/appearance aspect of the business, but the food was disappointing. The best way to describe the food is «touristy» bland Mexican cuisine. The guacamole was bland and boring. Salsa was so-so. Rice and beans nothing special and the portions are small. The wife ordered the«shrimp cocktail» — it was half the size(shrimp and the bowl) of the shrimp cocktail featured in the menu. My son ordered a combo plate and noted that he had never seen a «thinner layer» of beans and rice. We also made the mistake of ordering the coronaritas. Cheap tequila, cheap margarita mix, combined with a Corona. Not worth the nearly $ 30 for two drinks. But that was our fault for ordering. No we probably won’t be returning within the next 15 years.

I’ve only been here one time, so this review is based off of one experience. So I’m not sure if my experience was good or bad for this restaurant. The service was good, waitress was very friendly and attentive to whatever we needed. Our food came out pretty fast as well. But the food itself was very bland tasting guys. Nothing stood out to me as exceptional. Everything was average Joe tasting stuff. I wouldn’t come back here, but my grandparents love this place and come here almost every week after church.

My food was salty the band was too loud and the owner changed the station on the TV to accommodate a group at the table next to us. Never mind that we were watching it. We even asked him to change it back an he did only to change it back to what the other table wanted. The service was slow.

Came for a visit to Temecula to meet up with a good buddy and this place was located right next door to the Ramada Inn where I was staying. Was greeted and waited on by Genaro, who is a part of the family business here. Genaro is a super friendly guy and he really takes care of you with excellent service! I ordered the Fajitas Combo and it was great. The steak, chicken, and shrimp were cooked just right. My friend went with the Mexican soup and it was a huge bowl! Great portions for the money and I love that! If you are staying near Old Town and you want really good Mexican food, I highly recommend this Restaurant! Say hello to Genaro!
