Shear Nirvana salon

I took my 4.5 year old daughter to see Heather at Shear Nirvana after hearing wonderful things about the salon. We’ve been growing out her hair since birth with the intention of donating it someday so needless to say we were very particular about where to take her. Heather was very sweet to our fidgety girl and made her feel very calm and comfortable. She also knew exactly how to prepare and cut her hair in order to meet the donation requirements. In the end, we now have a wonderful gift for a child in need that will be shipped off in the morning to Wigs For Kids and the Childhood Leukemia Foundation, AND an absolutely adorable new Do for our princess. Cannot say thank you enough to Heather and will definitely recommend her to our friends and family

My experience with the hairstylist was good. But not so great with the overall of the salon. I had a severe reaction to the hair dye (Pravana) never had any issues with any dyes ever before and I don’t color my hair often. After my hair was dyed, within 48 hours I had a full blown infection with welts. My head was so swollen I could not move my neck or put a hat on.
Finally after three weeks I have some relief.
There was no way for the stylist to know If I would be allergic. I did alert the stylist of the problem, was not offered any resolution or any concern. It’s been three weeks, and still no concern of the reaction or even repairing the damage to the color (I’ve had to wash my head several times daily so the color is gone now). My review of the stylist is good but she will remain nameless. My review for the salon is poor due to the lack of responsibility and follow up or concern of their client.
The only time I’ve been contacted is after this post, the owners asked me to take it down.

I had my hair done here by Samantha on Thursday night. It was New Year’s Eve and she stayed late to squeeze me in so that I would look great for the new year. She is an amazing stylist!!! The salon itself is big, clean and decorated very well. There is also a nail salon inside, and they offer many different services. One of the best salons I’ve been to in a very long time. I highly recommend this salon and this stylist to everyone!

I found Samatha on a Facebook page and I reached out to her to get my hair done and I’m honestly floored at how amazing she is. I went in with no expectations since my twin has been my stylist for years and I was just going to accept whatever happened. From the first step into her salon I felt at home and attended to. She is so easy going and made me feel like I was in great hands and so at home. Your stylist is supposed to feel like your best friend and you’re supposed to have gossip hour and a fun time when you get your hair done and that’s exactly what she did. I can’t even put into words how good and amazing I feel about my hair and how above and beyond she went to give me exactly what I want. I will be returning her over, over and over again. I’ve already booked my next appointment. If you need your hair done I recommend her with the highest regards ever!!!

Michaela has been my stylist for a couple times now and I think I am going to stay with her.
If you have ever needed someone to interpret what is going on with your hair or fill the gap between what you think you want and what looks best she has excellent judgment and stylist skills.
I normally wouldn’t have cared after having problems with my hair for years but she was willing to listen to my hair problems (not common) and helped me accomplish my hair goals!
I give the salon five starts for uniting me with such a helpful key to my hair and life! Thanks! I’ll be posting check-​ins with hair updates!

I absolutely love Shear Nirvana! I love the atmosphere and have had an excellent experience every time I’ve gone. The salon is clean and the staff has always been very friendly and attentive.
Heather has been my stylist for years and has never let me down. I can always count on her to be both punctual and professional yet welcoming and sweet at the same time. She’s always up to date with the latest styles and techniques and always uses quality professional products. Overall, Heather has an impeccable skill set and masterfully color, cuts and styles my hair every time I visit.
Its also worth mentioning that Chelsea, the house esthitician, is excellent as well. Chelsea’s esthitician booth at Shear Nirvana is clean, quiet and very relaxing. Its unfortunate that I only had time to get my eyebrows done because had I had the time i would have loved to get a facial done with Chelsea as well.
I will definitely be coming back for years to come

Shea is the best!!! I’ve been going to her for years. She always gives me the perfect hair cut. The salon is clean and well maintained and everyone are super friendly. I would highly recommend this place! If you’re looking for an excellent cut or color ask for Shea!

It was trashy and I went in for a highlight service and deep condition. The stylist put the foils on pretty quickly and then had me sit under the dryer for 45 minutes while she went outside and talked on the phone. I’m naturally a medium blonde so this extra lifting process was unnecessary. She brought my to the shampoo bowl and my hair was just falling out into her hands and I could tell she was nervous about it. She then started very heavy handedly running her fingers through my hair which I’m assuming was to get most of the fried pieces out which really upset me. I even had to remind her to use the deep conditioner because she was in such a rush. The color came out very pretty which is why I give this place 2 stars but my highlights are 2 inches long and the rest of my hair is down past my shoulders. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking to keep the integrity of your hair because it’s really horrible having to go threw extra work to have to tame this fried mess every day.

I’ve been to so many salons out here and no one seemed to satisfy me until my mom told me to try Shea Malcolm. Lets just say I’ve finally found my salon and everyone is so friendly. I spontaneously decided to get my hair done. As it had been awhile, after moving to a new place I’m always hesitant towards finding a new stylist for my hair. I have blonde hair that had its roots growing out and was once an light brown/​blonde ombré turned to a golden ombré that didn’t match too much with my complexion. I walked in an hour and a half before closing and asked if Shear Nirvana had any time to do a cut and color. Out walked Mindy and I am so thankful she was there that night! She guided my confusion of what to do with my hair and found a middle ground between all of my ideas. It was well past closing by the time she was done and she still made sure I was happy at every step. She blow dried, straightened and styled my hair to exactly how I wanted it. She is a phenomenal hair stylist and I am so glad I found her! For highlights and lowlights it was 95 and a bonus haircut for first timers which was free!
Ive gotten many compliments on my hair, thank you Mindy and Shear Nirvana! My spontaneity was a success, I’m so happy with my hair and my new regular stylist!

I love this place! Everyone is super nice and prices are reasonable. Mindy does an amazing job and really goes the extra mile to make sure that you are happy with your cut/​style/​color, etc

Heather is a fabulous Stylist, she is always up on all the Trends and new Styles. She is a Genius with the scissors, also she is Color Specialist, If you are wanting a new look, she has the great gift of making you over! She is so friendly, warm and welcoming she makes your salon experience great!
