I love coming here and finding a gem — no pun intended. When I was still dating my husband, I came here in search of a gift. He’d lost the cross on his chain and was wearing the chain bare. I found a unique, little cross that was priced just right. He still has it and it stands up to the wear and tear. I’ve also found little ruby studs here where as at other jewelry places it was as if they’d never heard of rubies. When I want jewelry, this is the first place I have in mind. Really Dawn? You don’t like this place because the employees look like they’re 12? As somebody who looks half of my age, I am offended. Do you not realize that there are child labor laws and people need to work somewhere? The employees always have a smile on their face.

2 years ago I took my 3 year old in to get her ears pierced. I was a bit nervous about it, because the person behind the counter looked like she was 12. But, because I had already told my daughter she could, she was insistent about it. The worker marked her ears, showed me, and then put the earrings in. My 3 year old was so proud of her earrings. We cleaned them everyday and followed all the instructions provided, but, my daughter still got an infection. 2 years later, we still have issues with it. She has said for the past 2 years, she wishes she never got her ears pierced. I have been back to the piercing pagoda 1 time since that day. I went to get another pair of earrings, thinking that maybe my daughter was having an allergic reaction to the steel they used. Again, the person behind the desk looked 12. He tried to sell me a pair of earrings that were tarnished, saying that they were the only ones they had that were hypoallergenic. They were also the most expensive pair of kids earrings, and had obviously been in the case for a while. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to Piercing Pagoda. The staff seems too young to be well trained in this trade, and in my experience, they don’t know what they are doing.
