This review is for BOBA. This is a cute little coffee shop right next to ASU. Hard to find parking spots due to school parking(unless you want to pay at the parking garage next to it) and tons of students. This can be a nice little spot to meet up with friends or do some studying here with their couches and large tables. As for the drinks, we ordered Green Tea with Honey and Milk Tea Boba. Both of them were watery and not sweet at all. The tapioca balls were bland and a little too chewy. These drinks also came in only the largest size(24 oz). 2 stars for the drinks, extra star for the environment and service. Maybe I’ll come back to try some of their other drinks like smoothies or coffee but definitely not the boba. Environment: 4⁄5(kind of loud) Food(BOBADRINKSONLY): 2⁄5 Price: 3⁄5 Service: 4⁄5 Tip: — Don’t forget their 5% off check in discount!

Ever since I found out about this place a little over two years ago, I’ve been a regular. My favorite barista is gone, but that’s not going to stop me. The staff are great and the environment is fun to just socialize or sit by yourself and do your own thing. They have deals on Hooked or in the coupon books, if you’re looking to save a buck or two. Their blendies are delicious along with the smoothies. It’s usually taken me about 10 – 15 minutes to get my drink because of the many customers that are always there so be ready to wait. The last time I went(last week) they had fun coloring books — great way to relieve some stress. They also have a rewards card where for every 10 drinks you buy, you get 1 free!

This little coffee shop is REALLY good! I always get the blendie café mocha with an extra shot of expresso and it is SOOOO good :)

Walking distance from ASU with a very relaxed environment. Upon entering I noticed some weird smell that I didn’t find very pleasant. Wanted to order my drink after that strenuous hike on the butte mountain trail(haha jk) and then get out quickly. Not sure of it was stinking to a broken pipe or poor air circulation. I ended up getting a peach black tea and my companion got banana milk. Both drinks were good. Banana milk was literally banana blended with milk sort of a bummer to find out since it wasn’t anything special. The peach black tea wasn’t overly sweet like how many places make it and was very refreshing. Their boba here is average. If I came back, I’d order the peach black tea again… But I’d wait outside while my companion orders it :)

The atmosphere and decorations were nice, and the employees friendly. However, it took forever to get my one drink. I wish I had looked at the time I ordered because it had to be over 15 minutes. Even though there were a fair amount of people in the shop there was only one person making all the drinks. Once I did get my order, I wasn’t very happy about it. I ordered an iced latte, but it was barely below room temperature. The taste was probably OK, but it was hard to tell with the temperature. Overall, I don’t plan to go back, there are plenty other coffee shops in the area to spend my money at.

Awesome people here and first-rate drinks. This is a great place to hang out that’s far enough from the«beaten path» of Mill Avenue but right where all the ASU students love to come.

I like the atmosphere here. It’s nice and cozy and ample spaces to study or do your work. I had the pleasure to meet the wonderful and friendly owner, Abie. There was a miniscule misunderstanding, but Abie rectified it and I’m one happy customer. Keep up the great customer service! Two thumbs up!!!

Always love stopping by before class and after. The honey boba is my absolute favorite in the valley! My usual is the caramel macchiato but I tried the Thai Tea today, even though I don’t really like tea, and it was delicious! Abby and the gang always help fuel my caffeine addiction! ^_^

This place is so good! I chose the vanilla blendie and I could really get addicted to these. My girlfriend got mango, pineapple, and coconut as her 3 flavors with honey boba and she loved hers too. Definitely coming back.

The drinks here are delicious and they have a wide variety. I love getting the matcha green tea with boba. My friend always tries a new tea and they have kinds that I’ve never seen anywhere else. Their staff is friendly and they have cute tables and chairs inside. It is a nice place if you want to chat with a friend over a drink or study in peace.

Thanks to all the positive Unilocal reviews, I decided to check this place out. I was iffy about this place because it’s definitely hard to find a good boba spot that is exactly what you’re expecting. This place is definitely delicious! It’s decorated cute inside and free wifi is a plus! The only thing I don’t like is the parking, but I would highly recommend this place for picky people like myself :)

Much more charming than I expected — the décor reminds me of something you might find in some hip part of Santa Monica and they make their own honey boba for their boba tea! Right off of ASU but certainly easy to get to via bike for those of us who live in areas near ASU. A great place to bring a reading device, even a real book, and hang out for a bit to absorb the casual atmosphere and watch the parade of humanity that occurs in this area when ASU is in session. I’ve only been here once so not ready to give it a five star but certainly a nice place — I hope to also check out the juice bar and the smoothies on the weekend. :-)

This place has the best boba! I will say that sometimes the staff are not always the nicest especially when they are busy on the weekend. But the drinks are bomb my favorite is the green tea smoothie with boba

Love the vast amount of flavor and drink options! And free wifi is always a nice amenity. The lady working was very patient with how indecisive I was and made great recommendations. The guy with the boot on that was working is a different story. He was rude and snippy and very short with me. Would have been 5 stars if it weren’t for his demeanor and attitude as well as the lack of outlets

I will preface this review with the location of this store, it is right next to ASU and due to that it is a carefree type atmosphere and organic. Drinks were very good, but also know the prices are about the same if not a little higher than a JJ.

I had to go back and give this place another try. It is the closest tea focused café to ASU. This time I got more of explanation of the menu. I choose to create my own custom tea smoothie. There are several flavor options on the side and you can get crazy. My flavor choices were Matcha, honey, and ginger with added Boba. It was made perfectly and was super delicious! I will definitely be a regular here.

With a pleasant atmosphere for working and a wide selection of hand crafted drinks, who wouldn’t love going to The Blend? I have been coming here since The Blend opened. Abie and Jessica along with the other staff create a friendly atmosphere. There is plenty of space at the large tables where I can sit for hours and work to the music, which is constantly changing and fresh. My personal favorite is the iced green tea with some kind of flavor added. I usually get mango or raspberry. However, they also make great coffee and smoothies of tea isn’t up your alley. No matter what kind of beverage you’re seeking, you’ll leave satisfied.

We decided to hit this spot after biking around Tempe Town Lake for an hour and a half. I needed a nice drink. When we walked in, the place was cute and trendy. There weren’t very many people so it was nice and quiet. I ordered the 20 oz iced caramel chai tea latte with almond milk and boba based on a Unilocal review. It was so sweet! I know it was the caramel — darn you sweet drinkers! I had to let my ice melt to dilute the sweetness to even drink the whole thing. I’m thinking without the caramel, it would be really good. The boba was good — not too hard, not too mushy. I took advantage of the 5% off discount when you check in to Unilocal. My future hubs ordered the vanilla latte and I liked it. It was still sweet, but I would of preferred drinking that instead of what I ordered.

Ambiance is nice here but I came here to try the boba– Cream shake is actually a milk tea… Its fairly good albeit a bit overpriced at $ 4.50 for a 24 ounce milk tea. The honeydew flavor was great but the boba was pretty subpar and didnt have any of the promised honey boba taste. For boba I say go elsewhere like Grilled Ave or if you have a car Mekong. Basically the boba here is a more expensive version of Quickly’s.(Pretty average) Edit — Corrected the size after the owner replied. Maybe they got my order wrong? Because my cream shake was definitely a milk tea and not a slush that I’m accustomed to.

We stopped by the Blend just before the ASU football game. My son wanted to try their smoothie but more important they had boba which is medium size tapioca balls. We walked in and it was really nice. Very modern with nice couches, chairs, and tables. Giving it a home feel. A place that you can drink your coffee or smoothie and relax. The place wasn’t as busy as all the other food places cause everyone was catching a bite to eat before the game. We were just veggie out. We found out that his place is owned by a mother and daughter. We talked to the mother and she was very nice and friendly. Making sure place was spotless. Anyways, my son ordered his passion fruit smoothie with boba and mixed jelly. I got in a few slurps and it was really good. We found out that they use frozen fruits which is better than those powder places. I liked it. My son liked it too. I know when my son goes to ASU next year he will be visiting this place often. Also, I know my daughter visits here often too. So it’s all in the family for this smoothie & coffee place. For sure we’ll be back. Good smoothies, boba, and a decent price. What else could you want in Arizona especially on those hot days to quench that thirst.
