The dirtiest restaurant I have ever seen. The waiters’ nails were long and black when they brought the food to the table. All the spoons fell on the floor and they didn’t even wash it– they just placed it back on the table. In addition, the waiter was having a really bad cold, touching his nose then the spoons with his hands. He didn’t even bother listening to his manager when he told him to use the napkins. Worst place to eat, in my opinion.

Omg! I am sooooo sad. PHOHANH is CLOSED!!! I have been a loyal Phở Hanh customer for 8 years and got a chance to eat my last bowl of phở last week. I went by the restaurant last night and noticed that the restaurant had its lights out at 9 pm which I thought was odd since they normally close at 11 pm. I looked in through the windows, everything was cleared out. No seats or tables. It was a sad sight to see. Bye Phở Hanh. You’ve been good to all of us. Thank you for serving us hot and fast bowls of phở, crispy egg rolls, spring rolls, delicious rice dishes, and quick serving service. Phở Hanh will be missed.

There are much better Vietnamese places around. This phở is in the bottom 3 of my list of phở places. I eat a lot of phở and I’m confident enough to know good and bad phở. I had the rare steak, broth was salty and had some strange flavor. The meat isn’t fresh, it’s frozen. The noodles seemed overcooked and clumped together. If you want a good bowl of phở then all you have to do is keep driving down last tunas and you’ll find phở Super Bowl and Saigon Eden I believe. Both those places give free dessert and both are cheaper. The phở Super Bowl also has great service.

Both my brother and I are Vietnamese soup noodle fanatics, and are always searching for a good bowl of phở, bun rieu, and bun bo hue. We didn’t care for this place the first time we went few years ago, but now they’ve improved a lot, probably because of all those negative reviews… ;-) Bun Rieu The best around the area. It’s actually what brought us here so often. The soup base is very flavorful, with a right balance of crab/shrimp aroma. Though they don’t give you the right veggies to go with it(cabbage instead of bean sprouts… correct me if I’m wrong.), the dish still tastes great that I can overlook that part. A good bowl of bun rieu is like comfort food for me, and Phở Hanh really does it right. Beef Phở The phở is alright… I’d say a 3.25 star, definitely not as good as their bun rieu. The broth is heavy on the spices, which I like, but not sure if others would like that kind of taste. The phở is a bit on the expensive side, so I don’t always order it at this restaurant. Bun Bo Hue Not too bad…3.25 star. The broth is good and has the right amount of spiciness, however just a tad bit too sweet for me. Still a good bowl of noodle though. I wanted to give this place a 3.5, but since Unilocal has a whole number point system, I’ll give them a 4 just for the bun rieu and their improvement.

3 stars is a very fair rating, i often forget. i Unilocal a place, see only 3, 3.5 stars and immediately dismiss it. but as Unilocal states, 3 equals A-OK, and a-ok aint bad. as is this phở joint. their broth was thick– REAL, and became murkier as the once bloody slices of meat cooked(didnt like that so much… im no bun bo hue lover, unlike my hubs). service was efficient and quick, more get to the point than anything else. lighting was bright and florescent, not the most romantical spot. price is what really got me– they’re just a few cents more than eden saigon, down the street, but ES is SOMUCHBETTER! and ES’s phở, though cheaper priced, comes with dessert! and ambiance! how can you beat that? you cannot. its like a beautiful garden in there. so phở hanh, while you will remain a quick ‘not so bad’ option, you probably wont be first. thanks for the phở though– hit the spot on a chilly so cal night :)

Pretty good phở place with reasonable prices. We order from here often since it’s close to my sisters house. Once they screwed up our order and gave us all the phở special which was annoying. But other than that it’s pretty good.

Woo hoo! I found my go to spot for Vietnamese food! I usually get Bun Thit Nuong whenever go to Phở restaurants and so far this place serves it best. Maybe its the fish sauce or maybe that the egg rolls are super crunchy or that the veggies are super fresh. Whatever it is, I’m able to finish my whole order in one sitting. I’d also highly recommend getting the egg rolls as a side to your meal. They’re really crispy and tastes like heaven in your mouth. It also comes with a plate of lettuce for you to wrap with. Vietnamese Ice Coffee — If you order this, prepare to wait at least 10 – 15 minutes before you can drink it. It comes in a dripper but it is faster than most other restaurants. The flavor is as strong and is comparable to Lee’s Coffee. Expect that their customer service is going to be like every other Asian place. The plus side is that there isn’t usually a long wait so they’ll take your order pretty quickly. They just won’t come ask you how your meal was or if you need more water. Parking here is pretty easy unlike most other plazas in 626. There’s also Guppy’s next door if you have room for desert.

This place has been here over 10+ years. I remember coming here in middle school with all my «fwends» haha the place itself hasn’t changed much but they’ve done some cosmetic updates. Prices have gone up and portions are smaller now but hey, I get it. *Small bowl of Phở Ga: $ 6.25: The chicken phở broth was great. While I was hungover, I really appreciated the salty and über hot phở broth. They used to be cash only but now they take credit with a $ 10 min purchase!

Came here late on a Sunday evening — they are open until 11pm! The good — they are open late. The food was okay the phở was good and they have the veggies like the greens, bean sprouts, lime in good portions. Service was super fast but no one was really eating. The bad — they have small portion for large special bowl and for 7.75 a pop I expect a larger bowl. They also messed up our order of Thai tea and instead brought us regular iced tea. Customer service needs work here. Otherwise, it was not a special experience. We were hungry for phở and it was close to where we were and it was open. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for phenomenal phở — there are more places in the SGV that serve much better phở. However, I am not sure if they have better food — they may have some if you try but I only had phở and cannot say anything about the rest if their food. Maybe they have better food but it seems unlikely since there was practically no one there on a weekend night.

Food is like any other phở place. The workers are very nice and quick with your order. This isn’t a place you would crave for all the time, perhaps during a hang over. Food quality was fine. I came here and didn’t try their phở, I tried their dry noodles! The egg rolls was a bit burnt, but it taste better when you drench it with the fish sauce. Overall, Food is average, service is great from my experience!

On our way home from who knows where and it’s the grubben hour. What to eat??? I have no clue… to the munchkin«whad doya wanna grub tonight munchkino?» the munchkin immediately retorts, «Eye wunna eat phooooooo» *thinks it over for a moment* DONE! Pholiscious photastic phobelievable! So yeah its phở time! So we cruise over to this phở place I have wanted to try since it’s close to our quonset hut. We stroll in and get a table pointed out to us. We plop down into our chairs and quickly realize we are the only non viet folks in the joint. I take that as a great sign. The older server dude comes over to take our order. He didn’t speak hardly any English(nor did the waitress). But he understood Phở Tai and that I needed an extra bowl for the munchkin. Pro Tip: This place is easy to find as its wedged in between the guppy house and yoshinoya… The grub came out in about 3 minutes and the steak was still pink when it arrived. Perfect. The munchkin was super excited and clamoring to have the whole bowl(like she could eat a whole bowl alone hahaha). So I set up her bowl and she goes to town. It was classic that when I added the hoi sin sauce she decided she needed darker soup too since hers was too light in color haha. So I gave her a lil bit and her eyes lit up in happiness… Overall the phở was pretty average, the service was overall kinda average, but having the munchkins face in pure delight was definitely not average ^_^ to use the funky happy face. That is kinda how the munchkin looked… Overall it was a fun time, but the food, ambiance, and everything else were decidedly very pedestrian… so if you are close and want a quick phở-pickmeup then stop in… otherwise, its not worth it most likely.

I would say this place is average when compared to some of the great phở places around the area. If it was located on the westside, it’d be considered fantastic for the area. But they say it’s all about location, location, location right? I ordered my normal phở tai chin with brisket and flank steak. I would say the soup was a bit more bland than some places I’ve been to, although, still pretty decent. The portion size is decent as well. Surprisingly, it was pretty clean, including all the condiments on the table(which can tend to be sticky at other phở places). I was actually very surprised when the waiter walked up to my mom and I and started to speak chiu chow to us. It’s rare that I ever eat any place where they speak my native tongue. It’s located in the TJ Maxx shopping center so parking was no problem. All in all, it was decent enough to grab a bite if you happen to want something quick and are nearby. If you’re in a mood and want to satisfy a craving, I’d recommend going down the way a bit to my favorite place, Saigon Eden on Las Tunas.

I have been to this Phở place a few times. The Phở is okay tasting because the soup base is a bit on the bland side. I have tried their Phở Combo, and their beef stew with french bread. Not too shabby but just okay. The Phở Combo is served in a large soup bowl. They give you good proportions of noodles and some beef. Again, it is only the soup that I thought was a bit bland. So mix in the usual hot sauce, hoi sin sauce, and soy sauce along with the bean sprouts and peppers with lemon juice to give it more flavor. The beef stew was good with good flavor which is served with a fresh french roll. The sauce was a bit on the greasy side because of the beef. I was a bit grossed out the last time I was there. My phở had a small hair in it. My friends told me to tell them about the hair… but I did not. I picked the hair out and just ate my noodles like a good boy. It was probably a good hair day for me! The service was slow. The waiter saw us ready to order, but still took his time coming over. At least he kept filling my cup with hot tea. The cleanliness was okay. The table was still a little sticky, but the restroom area in the back had a fowl smell. It smell like there was a sewage leak. I think I will hold off coming back here for awhile. I hope they will improve. A strong 2 stars! only because of my not so good experience.

Idk about you, but rainy weather = phở cravings for me! Therefore, I was whining about wanting phở so the bf took me to Phở Hanh so that I could get my phở fix. WHATWEORDERED: — - — No. 1 Special: I don’t really remember what was in the phở, I think rare steak, well done brisket, tendon, tripe, and all that good stuff. The phở was decent at best. I liked the brisket, but I think the soup was not as flavorful as I like and was most likely PACKED with MSG since i was parched afterwards and I KTFO’d right when I got home. — - — Charbroiled Pork Broken Rice: My boyfriend got this and seeing the portions made me angry! =___=# there was a big mound of rice and a SMALL amount of the charbroiled pork. Looked completely different from the picture on the menu. It didn’t really look appetizing to me at all. — - — Egg Rolls: These were yummy! I don’t know how to describe these but they were egg rolls with the bumpy, crispier exterior(vs the usual smooth-wrapping ones lol). I liked them a lot and kept burning my tongue since I was so anxious to eat them. I would MAYBE come back for the phở(but only because of its convenient location) but(even though my bf doesn’t care) I’m still miffed about the stingy portions of his Charbroiled Pork Rice.

I went here to eat dinner with my dad at 6:30PM. I walked in and was hit by how empty the restaurant was. It’s really noticeably empty because the dining area is so large. There were only three occupied tables spread out across the wide area. We chose a seat by the door and ordered immediately. I got a chicken phở and my dad got some sort of pork phở. I also ordered an iced French coffee with condensed milk. Our total was $ 16.95. My chicken phở was alright. The soup tasted a bit awkward though for some reason. My dad enjoyed his phở though, so eh. My biggest complaint was the French coffee. It was a tiny tiny cup with a tiny tiny amount of condensed milk. I like my coffee pretty sweet and I prefer adjusting my condensed milk amount, thanks. I don’t like how they pour everything for you and when I asked for more condensed milk, the waiter gave me an odd(I want to say dirty but I’ll be nice) look and disappeared. Ten minutes later, I spotted him cleaning a table at the other side of the restaurant. Great service. When I went to pay for our food, the girl at the cashier gave me a confused look and had to look up each of our orders to calculate the prices. That took almost ten minutes because she got confused and messed up or something. She tried to get the guy waiter who took our order to help. He came over, looked at me, smiled, said hello, laughed, and ran away. Uh, okay. I wouldn’t come here again on my own free will, but if my dad drags me here, I wouldn’t really argue. The food was alright, but now I know not to get their coffee.

Back before the Golden Deli in Temple City was opened, this was my back up phở place if I didnt want to drive to Golden Deli out in San Gabriel and fight for a parking space and/or didn’t want to wait 30 minutes to be seated. It has been awhile since I came in here. But over the weekend, I stopped in for a bowl of phở. I don’t know. but somehow the phở wasn’t as flavorful as I remembered it =(i had gotten the rare/well done sllices of meat with the tripe. The noodle, broth, and meat was pretty good. There were only a few strips of tripe =( I also ordered the three color jello drink. The portion has definitely gotten smaller. I had ordered it to go. As I left the restaurant, I took a sip and then a spoonful only to find that the drink was not sweet at all. Apparently they forgot to add the simple syrup. Luckily I hadn’t left & was able to go back into the restaurant and had them add it.(Golden Deli’s three color jello drink is better than the one here.) Two reasons why I keep coming back: –they accept credit cards –excellent customer service.(When you walk in, you are greeted along with a huge smile.) Even though they increased the prices of their food, it’s still pretty cheap and alright tasting.

Whenever I walk inside a Vietnamese restaurant, the first thing I look on the menu is not its Phở, but what kind«Bun» they have. I am constantly on a search for some tasty Bun Rieu, and the restaurant usually get a extra star from me if they have it on the menu. And yes. I was happy to see«Bun Rieu» on Phở Hanh’s menu! LOCATION: Phở Hanh is located in the giant plaza along TJ Maxx, lots of parking available and the restaurant can easily sit over 100 patrons SERVICE: Really friendly and fast service. Our order was on our table minutes after we order! FOOD: My Phở buddy opted for his #1 Special, and I decided to go with Bun Rieu. Both orders were good portions and tasted original. PRICE: Your average SGV Phở price ~around $ 6

3.5 stars Summary: Cheap, fast, and decent Phở. Detailed: I could not determine the exact cravings of the soul but I somehow found myself here again tonight just to order the combination Phở noodle soup. This is not just another one of those reviews that forgets about all the significant aspects about a bowl of phở but one who actually cares significantly about how it is prepared and tastes. I sat down on a table and within a few seconds, a lady comes and waits on me by asking what I’d like to drink as she hands over a menu to me. I asked for the staple hot tea as I perused the menu to decide what I would have. Well, it was obvious to myself more than to them that I was here for a bowl of phở. But rather than mouthing another litany of curses for being so freaking hungry, I decided to wait patiently and avoid acting like a spoiled runt. The tea came and it was the standard Chinese tea that was boiled well and refreshing. I asked for a bowl of Phở or combination 1 according to the menu. I didn’t have to wait long before it arrived — about 2 minutes approximate. The broth was strong and tasty. The noodles were properly prepared. The meat in the broth were cooked through and through and flavorful. Within 10 minutes, I consumed the bowl of Phở like it ought to be. I was satisfied and thankful. I hated the atmosphere and didn’t like the crowd. But if I had to comment on anything, they can all kiss my ass. The food was decent and the service was loving. I enjoyed my meal and would gladly return. Especially since everything cost me $ 6.50, which at the time of the night, anyone in this area would admit is quite a catch.

2 large tai sach phở with fried egg rolls for under $ 20. Not a bad meal to share and have leftovers for later. The phở was good, but the broth was not strong in flavor. I’m just hoping that maybe they use less MSG and hence the flavor is not too overwhelming. There were enough meat in the bowl and so I had no complaints. They offer plenty of lime, bean sprouts, Chinese lettuce and basil to go with the phở. However, at a 90+ degree weather in LA, they served our water with no ice. I would give the phở 3.5 and the egg rolls were a wimpy 3 stars. The eggrolls at Noodle City is my favorite. The service was just okay, being that we were there in the middle of the week and they place was like a ghost town. This was my first time here with my cousin, but we’ll be back only for the sake of convenience that it’s near NuPair.
