My favorite chicken phở place! Easy, quick, no frills, very delicious. We always get the chicken phở and it has never disappointed. The broth is great, the chicken moist. Highlight recommend!

I went there with my colleague today. When we walked in at 12:10pm, there were more than five tables available but we were told that we can’t take anyone of them unless we could share the table with a guy coming alone behind us. The other option is we need to sit on the bar table. We were shocked and asked why. The waiter and waitress said because it is lunch time. I can understand the share table policy if there is a long line but the fact is there are only three people and five tables available! End up we had to sit on the very high and uncomfortable bar table. From my observation, the waiter and waitress kept telling ppl that no table and you have to wait despite the fact that there were empty tables! And they instructed ppl go out and sign their name on the waiting list even there is no line at all. But randomly they do allow some customers take tables without sharing. I had no idea what is the criteria behind. The restaurant was not full and no line at all during the 30 minutes I was there. I really don’t get the idea why they enforce the share table policy and create trouble from customer to enjoy a simple lunch. This restaurant will be removed my lunch place list.

Chicken phở to its perfection. Soup is not too oily, their noodles are done right. JUSTTHERIGHTPORTION that I like. Would recommend it to anyone. They have 2 locations in the 626 one is Rosemead and the other one at new avenue.

I finally found my favorite place to get phở ga in the area! Chicken phở is pretty much my go-to choice for anytime I am craving phở. First off, the chicken tastes fresh and delicious! The broth is also yummy and none of that fake MSG stuff. It tastes cleansing but also flavorful at the same time. The noodles were great too. Besides that, everything tastes yummy. Prices are decent. This place is cash only I think. Other than that, service is decent but just be aware that it can get pretty busy! They do take orders to go. Plenty of parking; will definitely come here again.

We ordered the phở ga, bun rieu, and banh cuon. This seems like a Chinese-owned Vietnamese restaurant so I didn’t think it was that authentic. The phở ga was decent but my biggest issue was with the veggies. I like my phở with a bunch of herbs(culantro and basil) but all they had was bean sprouts. And they had jalapeños instead of Thai chilies, which I prefer much more. The bun rieu and the banh cuon was okay. Nothing special. It’s an okay place to try when you’re around the area but not something I would drive out of the way for.

The guy who served me was very genuine but he forgot my herbal drink but that’s ok. He was patient with us since our third person hasnt shown up so he put his food on hold so it would ‘t get cold. I like that type of waitressing. I don’t know his name but he’s tatted up everywhere. Other than that, those asian lady workers have such bad attitude like when I was asking for my check but DIDN’T let me finish talking since I also needed a box togo. She was also saying in vietnamese«Muon gi» means«Need what?» when we asked for spoons cause they ran out. Like what is up with the attitude lady? I could care less if this place is busy but her attitude was very bad. So the only person that didn’t get on my nerve was the guy who took our order and brought out our foods! Food is good and delicious and not too pricey. But I think I’d rather take out than to sit and eat here again if waitresses have such attitude.

Their chicken noodle soup is good. Not too heavy nor greasy– gives me a sense that they use fresh ingredients like your mom would. Great on a cold, rainy day. I also had their chicken salad– it was only ok. The portions are huge, so that would be a plus if you are into that. The restaurant is small and it doesn’t feel like the cleanest establishment because of the clutter. Waitress seemed disgruntled. But I do recommend their chicken noodle soup!

If i could give it zero star, i would! I want to place an order over the phone and the lady was rude! Extremely rude ! Would not recommend coming here! Go to the other location better! Nothing special about the food here and with the attitude of their staff, would not come back here!

A great traditional food, easy to go down. Yes, customer service can be bad, if they’re really busy. Most of the time, friendly and smiling face here.

You know how you’re like«damn, how come this place has all these raving reviews but the overall score is average?» It’s because people be thinking they’re the Gordon Ramsay of rice noodles and chicken soup. Here’s how I ended up here — I saw one picture of their bowl of phở ga off of some girl’s snapchat and thought«Nice. I’m going there.» And I did. The place is called Phở Ga so I didn’t order no dumbass egg rolls or oxtail carne asada Doritos chips because Mama didn’t raise no moron. I asked the lady how big is the small and she pantomimed a smallish circle with her little Asian hands. I asked her how big the large was and she pantomimed the same smallish circle with her still little Asian hands. Guess I’m getting a large. I ordered a large phở ga with rare steak because beef necessito yes. That bowl of phở was so photogenic I almost bought a billboard outside my house because Instagram was not cutting it. And it tasted great. The end.

Service was quick and entrees were yum, yum and yum! They have phở, of course, and many patrons seemed to order just that. We tried #27& #41, SOGOOD! They actually used different soups vs. some Phở restaurants that seem to use phở soup as a base for most of their other noodle soup choices. Def coming back to try other noodle soups. We also tried 2, pork skin spring rolls and boiled chicken’s entrails with mixed fish sauce dip. Unless you’re curious to try something from the list, I’d recommend to skip the appetizers.

I am a huge fan of chicken phở and the phở ga here is defnitely no exception. After having gone to Phở 79, Phở Thanh, Golden Deli, and numerous other vietnamese restaurants in the area, I can say with a sure thing that the phở ga here is the best. The soup base tasted natural and did not contain unneeded salt. They also contained nice chunks of chicken that tasted fresh versus shreded chicken in other chicken phở. The noodles that they used are the thicker ones versus the typical thin ones, so it was definitely a different taste. This place is very price friendly, the total cost for two bowls of chicken phở(large and small bowl) came up to $ 15 dollars. I’m probably coming back here from now on whenever I get the crave for some fantasic chicken phở so definitely give this place a try!

Surprised I haven’t been here before. Love their Hainan chicken here. Gotta come back to get the full effect of their phở ga since they ran out of the eggs I love so much. The egg with phở ga is really hard to find, it’s pure yolk and one of my favorite components of authentic phở ga. Anyways, ample parking in the back but the restaurant is pretty small, they have a bar section of around 5 seating and probably about 20 tables max but they combine them when necessary. Cramped area though. Visitied on a Thursday noon, and it’s pretty popular for lunch, the rush was something. For just me and my mom, we waited 20mins but food come out fast. We ordered the phở ga and Hainan chicken. The Hainan chicken was my favorite. The rice was really flavorful and they have two options; one with wing and thigh, other with chicken breast and leg. Very satisfying and would come back again for this craving. The phở ga on the other hand, as explained in my intro, I need to come back to redeem it but they do make their own noodles here since it’s not the typical phở noodles. Overall cheap, quick, and delicious, perfect for a lunch date. Will definitely be back

The furnitures and decorations are great. However, the freshness and taste of the food are not as delicious as they used to be. I have come to the restaurant for 3 years and I am seeing a decline in the quality of the food.

After I saw my friend Charlie’s review on this place, I have been trying to check this place out since I love chicken broth. One fine afternoon, I dragged slave girl with me to try this place after a bad hangover. Parking was easy and the line was out of the door. We didn’t wait long and were seated at the bar. Service was fast but not friendly. We noticed those Vietnamese lades working there speak Cantonese to the customers and majority of the customer were Chinese. It makes sense I guess due to the location. We got their specialty chicken phở, small Vietnamese style chicken salad and Hainan chicken. The food came out fast but I must say I wasn’t impressed. The salad looked like a rabbit food mix with some chicken on the top. It’s almost impossible not to make a mess if you don’t have a separate container. Phở was OK but the chicken was really chewy especially the tendon from the boneless drum leg. It was like eating turkey leg for me. The broth for sure had msg in it with my cotton mouth to prove after. I don’t usually add any sauces into my phở so there’s no sauce to blame for the taste. That Hainan chicken was the worst of all 3. With the same chicken texture and not so great dipping sauce, it was not something I would enjoy to stuff my face with. The side soup came with the rice was not the same soup they used for phở either. If you are hungry and just want to be full, come here. If you want to enjoy your food, skip this place.

I come here often with my mom because this is one of my mom’s to-go phở places. The service here is slightly faster than most places, so if you’re in the area and you’re starving, HP Phở Ga Bac Ninh is the place to go. I came here on a Sunday afternoon between 1:30 and 2pm, which is later than the usual lunch time. Because of this, we were able to get a table(of 2) right away. However, during peak hours, expect at least a 5 – 10 minute wait. I ordered the #34 Bun Cha Ca Hai Phong, which had fried fish, curry fish, and tomatoes. Although there was only fish, the different textures and flavors made the meal really interesting. While the fried fish was chewier, the curry fish gave way even under slight pressure of the tongue. There were also huge chunks of tomato, which provided another dimension to the taste.

Super delicious. I do not eat beef so I usually opt for the Phở Ga(Chicken Phở) and this place has one of the best Phở Ga I have ever tasted. Out of all the chicken phos I tried, this one tastes the most freshest. You do not get a salty punch but still a very delicious taste. I can not handle too salty since it gives me headache. The chicken broth and chicken both tastes perfect to me and the meat is juicy. I also tried the Bun Rieu and was disappointed in it. My mom cooks it much better. The noodle was over cooked and the meat kept breaking apart. The taste was not as good as I wanted. Try their homemade Sesame Balls when you go to the counter to pay. They are around $ 3-$ 4 and made fresh. Pretty good too!

Honestly, I wasn’t wowed away and I don’t know why people are! The chicken phở was good, but not great. The bun rieu was decent, but not good. I would even take the Golden Deli bun rieu over this one! The crab egg chunks weren’t as flavorful as they usually are and there was not much tomato flavor, even in the tomatoes. Also, I ordered the 3 flavor/topping coconut ice drink and they gave me so much ice that I didnt really even have much to drink. It was really strange, I had to wait until the end of my meal for the ice to melt in order to actually drink something. There definitely was not enough coconut milk in there… Such a weird experience. My family eats a lot of Phở Pasteur which is right around the corner and Vietnam House on Las Tunas, so with so many familiar options, I probably wouldn’t be back to try this place again. The lady serving us was very nice though!

If you know about the chicken phở on new and helmen in Alhambra/Monterey Park, this is one of the owners who left, and this is 10 times better then what that one was! The menu is immense full of different types of chicken dishes. The chicken phở you knew to love is still there, but now you can get chicken porridge, chicken hainam style, and also different types of Vietnamese dishes. There’s also chicken phở with rare beef now? Say what! *Mind Blown* Come sober, come drunk, come hung over. Just come and get it!

First Phở Ga and I loved it here. Parking lot is small and very weridly designed in this plaza. Service was like any other viet restaurant. Cash only!!! Banh Cuon, large — $ 7 — Rice noodle stuffed with pork, mushrooms, and shrimp. Comes with cha lua and veggies on the side with fish sauce to dip. It was decent but I did not fall in love. Reminded me of chinese cheong fun. Ga Xe Phay, small — $ 5.25 — Huge salad but not much chicken. Chicken was a bit dry. I have this usually with a sweet vinegar dressing instead of just fish sauce. Big portion for the price but was nothing blew my mind. Bun Rieu, small — $ 6 — BLAND! No tomato flavor at all in the soup. Ton of crab but it had no flavor or seasoning. Overall, disappointing and flavorless. Phở Ga, small — $ 6 — SOOOGOOD!!! This was the only reason they got a 4. Broth was amazing, you can taste a very rich chicken flavor. The chicken was so tender and dipping it in the ginger sauce reminded me of eating hainan chicken. I loved the fat rice noodles that it is served with since I am not a fan of vermicelli noodles. Phở Ga is the way to go. The other stuff was a total miss for me!
