Great food and good service. Pretty good prices for what you get. Definitely worth a try.

Old school since 1953. The food gets 3 stars, I’ve had better tasting Chinese food in Alhambra. They offer the usual popular dishes like Kung Pao chicken and chicken fried rice, served with a fork. No chop sticks here unless you ask for them. The place gets 5 star for keeping a nice original interior intact, once you step inside the restaurant it will take you into a time warp.

Nobody inside, but me and my girlfriend decided to give it a shot. Don’t know why there wasn’t nobody in there, we loved it! The hot and sour soup coulda been a little more spicier, but the chicken fried rice and the green beans and beef was on the money! Don’t live in the neighborhood, but if I’m back there, would definitely pay them another visit.

The only authentic Cantonese restaurant still around in the San Gabriel/Temple City area. There used to be Jade West on Rosemead Blvd. and Nam’s on Valley Blvd. in San Gabriel. All gone. TC has many fine non-Cantonese restaurants, and you seldom see this place full. I don’t know how they stay in business, but they have been there for at least 30+ years! I never see any Chinese dining there, just non-Chinese. I think only the TC non-Chinese old timers go there because it has been there for decades and is sort of a landmark. Their menu is very familiar to those who love Cantonese food. Prices are extremely reasonable. Service is always quick. And they give you so much food, you wind up taking it home. It’s a great place to take a friend to eat and chat. It’s very quiet and no background music. Whenever I am in the area visiting, I make it a habit to go and have lunch there. Retro décor from the 1960s, not fancy but familiar. I always leave full and happy.

Called for delivery and ordered«Yang Chow Fried Rice» and«Beef Broccoli». It came within the hour that I called which is always good and they have FREE delivery if it’s within 3 miles from them. The food was very fresh and still hot. Will definitely order from here again. For $ 20.70 you can’t go wrong because of the generous portions!

I ordered some food for delivery and was disappointed in everything. Fried rice was flavorless. Sweet and sour pork was sickeningly sweet. Would not try again.

If I could give half a star, I would. The place was empty but it was recommended so we thought we’d give it a shot. Mistake! We ended up getting sick. Do yourself a favor and do your Unilocal homework. SGV is rumored to have great Chinese food but this place is exempt. I’m open to suggestions.

Really bummed… not the Asian food we are use to in San Gabriel. We normally go for Thai or Japanese but had their menu and decided to give it a try because they delivered. Won’t make that mistake again. Egg flowers soup was gelatinous. Veg fried rice looked like they mixed some white rice and frozen Veg! Wtheck? Maybe someone forgot to finish it because there was zero seasoning or Soy sauce. Orange chicken had a weird non-chicken aftertaste that we couldn’t get past. Fish and Tofu was ok. Not great though… Sauté green beans were probably the only thing worth eating, sadly, the portion was small. We’ll stick to places we know or Sam Woo from now on.

I just came along w him. n not piss him off more… I ordered spicy scallops and shrimp. Wasnt bad, but it was 14.99 n small protion. not worth it. Ordered beef chow mein was bland. n white rice which was smushy. yuk. O well. He ended up saying his not coming back… Hallelujah!!!

Food is delicious… décor is artistic with Chinese graphics… service is good… Only thing missing is music or even noise. I am serious here, this place is so quiet that you can hear a flea fart…(not that there are fleas– but that it is extremely quiet in there and it makes you a bit self conscious while You eat to not be so loud). The food is great, but personally, I believe that maybe some beautiful Chinese music or some smooth jazz would be nice to hear while dining here.

I had to resort to this after Sam Woo ran out of combos. So I came here saw their combo deals for dinner and went with it. There really wasn’t much to choose from and not a lot of meat choices but whatever. I ordered two combos 1 beef and broccoli and 1 string beans. Both had a good amount of flavor. Beef was quite tender. Only thing that wasn’t that great was their egg flower soup. NO Flavor whatsoever. It was like drinking water with egg in it. Overall I will probably try this place again, but maybe during lunch because it’s a lot cheaper and more options.

Wanted to eat Chinese food while we were on the road. Checked Unilocal and found this place. Was hoping for a decent meal but was horribly disappointed. You know there’s a big problem when you order pork chow mein, and you get noodles using spaghetti pasta! Yuck! If I wanted pasta, I would have gone to Italian restaurant! Ma po tofu was watery with no flavor, rice overcooked and mushy. Veggie spring roll was the only thing that was okay from the batch we ordered. Food was at best bland, or excessive use of soy sauce. Just not what I call good food. Panda Express would have been orders of magnitude better. Definitely will avoid this place next time we’re in the area.

When I want yummy Chinese this is where I come. In fact all my family comes here. Now we are not Chinese so there will probably be some who leave comments who have had better like from their moms kitchen, but hey I grew up with beans tacos burritos etc. Here we always order broccoli beef, BBQ pork fried rice, honey walnut shrimp & sesame chick. Everything is always fresh and veggies crisp! LOVEIT! *Also the center booths have a removal panel for big groups*
