I purchased and had a rifle bore sighted from this store in less than 35 minutes. Great customer service, and selection of hunting equipment. I will definitely drive 39 minutes to shop at this store again.

When you need more selection than the normal clothing store for athletic wear this is the side to go. Plus for boating, hunting, fishing, pretty much everything for active outdoor or at the gym. This even includes great grill selection items.

I also purchased a pair of Durango Rebel boots with the Texas flag on the side for a great price!
It is close but not on top of the mall.
Check out their selection of home elliptical machines as well as their golf ball prices. Very comparable to online prices.

I really like academy for their work-​out attire. I’m always looking for deals & specials and academy usually doesn’t let me down. This past winter I got several work-​out outfits for $ 4.88 a piece, can’t beat that. They have a wide variety of name brands & their own (BCG?) which is of good quality. It’s also have a wide variety of sporting goods stuff, something I don’t partake in but it seems like its a good selection! Shoot, they even have skiing stuff, hahahaha, in Texas! Good store & friendly staff who all seem knowledgeable.

You won’t realize how great Academy is until you move away and there isn’t one within driving distance. They have a great selection of sporting goods & clothing at great prices. Most of it isn’t top of the line but if you were looking for that kind of stuff, you wouldn’t be at a general sporting goods store. But they do carry Lodge cast iron which is top of the line in my books. For all of you out-​of-​staters with dads in Texas, Academy gift cards can be bought online & delivered. It’s my favorite Father’s Day gift for my dad.
