El Puerto de Jalisco

Big fat disappointment. I went for lunch today (Wednesday) and sat at the bar. Immediately my elbows stuck to the surface since it hadn’t been wiped off and there were leftover margarita glasses and beer mugs everywhere. I shoved them out of my way and grabbed a sticky menu to look at. After about 10 minutes some girl who could barely speak English asked me what I wanted to drink. I asked for a margarita and she walked off to the kitchen. 20 minutes passed and no one else appeared or helped me so I decided to leave. I saw the girl who «helped» me on the way out and stated I was leaving since no one would serve me. The response I got was «ok.» This has been the worst service I have ever received at any restaurant in Temple. There are much better Mexican food places in the area who are attentive, comfortable, and don’t ignore you. This seems consistent with the others reviews that this restaurant has traditionally had lackluster service. My advice, stay away and head to taqueria Mexicano grille on midway or tres maguyes in North Temple. Wasted 30 minutes of my day off. Never again!

Authentic Mexican food. The have some of the best breakfast tacos… They also have the BEST salsa around, I love it!!! Their lemonade is also freshly squeezed and USUALLY the greatest!
