Not sure why this place gets such good reviews. Long wait, loud bar, service was good but they seemed very stressed. Food was plenty big but lacked quality and taste I rather go down the street to shipwreck for better tasting food

My first time here. We waited an hour to be seated but listened to good live music while waiting. I would have given the 5 stars but they ran out of co2 after only our first tap beer and then only had 2 bottles left of the bottled beer we settled for. With that aside the food was great! I had the swordfish Ruben sandwich and all I can say there is YUM! My friend had the jumbo crab cake and raved that it was the best he ever had. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I will be returning here in search of that 5th star.

Went here with a friend and man oh man it did not disappoint! We shared the«you gotta try this», best appetizer I’ve had in a long time! Will definitely go back when I’m in the area

A busy bar and restaurant… out of Yuengling beer… how does a bar run out of a popular kind of beer??? The fried snapper was good BUT the sushi roll had way too much sauce on it… the lesson is don’t order Japanese food in a restaurant called Hog Snappers.

I guess I ordered the wrong thing as my friends all rave about this place. Need to give it another try and further review. I ordered the chicken drums for my children and they were terrible, dry and overcooked and uneatable.

High hopes going into this place based on Unilocaler reviews… three stars for the food. Many of the dishes were set up to be delish but didn’t follow through. The onion ring and sweet potato fries served with the sordfish sandwich were over breaded and drowned any natural flavors. The fish was slightly overdone, but the coleslaw and aoili were nice, and I ended up leaving the bread on the side. Salads were over dressed, but the greens were fresh and crisp. Get dressing on the side.

I’m updating my review. On the recommendation of some friends, I was told to give Hog Snappers a second chance, and third. I did and I found what I enjoy about the food here. Sushi and Sashimi are excellent. My husband and I loved the rolls too. Don’t hesitate to stop in for lunch or dinner. I upgraded it to 4 stars from 2, and will return again.

Been here three times in 10 days. The food is simply amazing! Portions are really big and totally worth the price. Lettuce wraps are awesome. The tuna salsa was spicy and tangy with real, fresh mango. Soups are worth it, I promise. You cannot make a bad choice with either The coconut or saffron rice. Just pick one and you will be pleased. I can’t say enough about this place. The music is always great. Usually a reggae station on pandora. We asked what station and our server Amanda, who is outgoing and just all around witty and she puts you at ease, wrote down her three favorite stations on pandora just for us. I cannot wait to visit tequesta in April just to eat here again.

As a Jupiter resident it is one of my favorite places! Tequesta brewery is right next ddor if the wait is ever a problem! It’s casual atmosphere but the food is great Try the whole fried snapper with coconut rice and they have sushi if you are a fan. Highly recommend it.

I ordered the whole hog snapper fried and I substituted the coconut rice for mashed potatoes. The avocado salad that came with it was AMAZING! My hubby ordered the fish and lobster bisque and the crab stuffed fish with lobster mashed potatoes. The fish in the soup was soft and delicious! It’s a huge bowl. My son had the fried grouper and fries, and my daughter had the Erin dragon roll. My favorite was the crab stuffed fish with the lobster mashed potatoes. It’s a lot of food, you can definitely share. We just had the leftovers for lunch the next day! :)

Excellent ceviche, my friend had fish tacos, tasty as well. Definitely coming back. Staff is very friendly which seems to be not so common in this area.

Wow. The Drunkin Mussels are amazing. I highly recommend them. They have great flavor and a touch of tequila too. The Crab encrusted snapper is to die for. Super Yummy

Hidden gem, every meal we’ve had is excellent. Fresh fish(never had anything but the the fish), great salads, meals are over the top terrific. The flavor a are just terrifically balanced. The staff is friendly and attentive. We sometimes eat here twice when on vacation. Yes, there are other good places, but this is great, seriously. Recommend the sushi, dragon roll is my fav, the whole snapper, the snapper with crab, the mussels, the me love salad, and so on. Bar staff know the wines too, ask. Vibrant atmosphere, fun place, music at times is good. Enjoyed it!

What a great Unilocal find! Everything from the décor, service, and food was on point. Appetizer: Shack shack 100% — a fried medley from the sea(fried shrimp, scallops, oysters, fish, squid and more) eat bite was delicious and cooked perfectly. Soup: Hog snapper and lobster bisque had huge chunks of fish. Delicious. Split with a loved one, this soup bowl can feed a family of four. Entrée: my table ordered a couple of things… Crab Crusted Snapper with Lobster Mashed Potatoes «Little Nikki» roll(Spicy Wahoo, cucumber, avocado with Scallop and Kimchee on top) Sonyamanders roll(Tuna, Salmon with avocado and a side of Conch Salad) Everything from start to finish was delicious and fresh. We all enjoyed this great find! We came late afternoon on a Sunday and we were sitted straight away. The place starts to fill up around 5 and it’s small so I’d have an early lunch and leave room to come here early evening. We plan on coming back on our next trip to Jupiter!

Food is DELICIOUS! Service can be slow at times but always friendly. The atmosphere feels like an indoor tiki hut and is great — but I’m 6’6 and have to duck, so watch out for the tall people out there! Try the blackened chicken penne pasta if you’re not into fish as much it is freakin delicious(I love fish and still get this here)

After hearing rave reviews about this place, I had to try it for myself. I’ve now been back 3 times in 3 weeks. Hogsnappers knows what they are doing when it comes to seafood! Start with oysters. They are incredible and even come with a complimentary shooter. Some of the best I’ve had. The sushi is phenonemal as well. I’ve tried the Ally roll and the Vaz roll and loved both. If you have room, try a bowl of hogsnapper lobster bisque. Its quite filling but worth it. For an entrée, the crab crusted snapper is delicious and it’s paired perfectly with lobster-krab mashed potatoes. This place is definitely worth the drive!

Overall very good. Located Inside a strip mall. Inside looks like you are in a tiki bar. Casual and fun inside. Shack shack appetizer is an insane amount of fried goodness. Was waaaayyy too much food! 7+ soup choices. The cup is the same size as a bowl of soup… it’s literally as big as ones head. Huge!!! The crab encrusted snapper over lobster-crab mashed potatoes and asparagus was excellent! Def would order it again. Fried whole snapped was good but after a fried appetizer, we were«fried out». Portions are huge and enough to share.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m just guessing that Palm Beach County must have the largest number of «tiki» and«mariner» themed restaurants per square mile than any area in the U.S. Hog Snappers is of the«tiki’ variety, but aside from the kitsch atmosphere, the food at the Tequesta location was spot on. I would have never thought that a tiki joint would have such awesome sushi/sashimi, but this place is much better than any of the Japanese restaurants I have tried in the area. The fish was properly sliced, extremely fresh, and fairly priced. In addition, the sandwiches were nicely prepared, as were the entrees. Side dishes served with entrees were imaginative, and well prepared. I’d come back here in a minute.

I should have read all the 1 star reviews but the good ones got me to this highly rated Unilocal establishment . Bad bad bad is all I got to say. Slow service, mouthy staff and not so good snapper sandwich. 2 ½ hours bad experience. Not ever coming back.

This is officially our new favorite restaurant in the area! However, I will admit that we’re new to Jupiter and have only tried about 10 – 15 other restaurants, so I’m open to finding places that beat Hog Snappers(good luck!). We came here last Saturday night about 6:30pm with my in-laws. There was only 1 table left when we arrived, just inside the door, but we were hungry so we were ok with this. The service was very quick and we had drinks in hand just after sitting. They didn’t have any ciders(what’s up with that? It’s even Fall!), but the wine was very tasty with generous pours. We were then given complimentary veggie roll — which set the tone for delicious sushi! My husband and I shared the spicy krab roll, volcano roll, and Lobster Mia roll. I’m still not sure which one I liked the best since they were each delicious! My FIL had the Volcano Lobster roll and loved it and my MIL had the BBQ Chicken sandwhich, which she said was very good. We can’t wait to return and bring visitors!
