Awesome BBQ, green beans, and fried okra! The sandwiches are huge, I couldn’t eat all of mine. Fresh green beans and crispy fried okra. The service was excellent with friendly staff. Definitely stop here if you’re passing through.

The peach tea is incredible. I need the recipe. The brisket is to die for. Sliced definitely. Don’t forget to get a rib!!!

We went to hickory roots bbq today for lunch and was not disappointed!
The wife and I both got the brisket sandwich lunch combo. She got chopped and I got sliced. The brisket was cooked perfectly!
Great smoke ring and color, not to dry it still was moist in the middle. The homemade potato salad was just right! It had just the right amount of mustard.
The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because I ordered sliced beef and I got what looked like half chopped and half sliced. Now that might not sound like a bad thing, hell that might become a new Texas favorite, but when I order something that’s what I want and expect.
We will definitely go back again.
