Fairfield Inn Tewksbury — Tewksbury MA — 9÷18÷2015 As far as Marriotts go this one is «just OK» The staff is super friendly but there is no pool and to use the gym facilities you have to drive about 8 – 10 minutes to an outside gym that they have partnered with. For me that doesn’t work. I need it in the hotel where it’s convenient. Rooms are clean and well attended and unlike many of the others they don’t knock on your door early in the morning– A big plus! There is always hot coffee and an assortment of teas in the lobby which is a plus. I like to have a cup of tea as I do my work in the evenings on the road and they have honey packets although I travel with my own… Breakfast offerings… Lots of bacon, yum yum yum but the eggs look like confetti… I’ve never seen eggs that look like confetti… Anywhere… They do have oatmeal, sausage, fruit and cereal so as far as that goes they are on par with most of the others… It’s convenient to my business appointments so I will probably stay here again…

One and a half stars, if I could. Where can I start? First — the positive. The desk staff seem nice. They have peanuts. OK, now that that’s out of the way… The elevator… THE elevator… has a deodorizer dispenser. Not sure why. Not sure I wanna know why. But there’s one of those public restroom-type destinker sprayers in there. Maybe someone’s peeing in the corner. Dunno. All of the drawers in the cheap hotel furniture in the room have a busted bottom. The desk chair wobbles and looks like it’s been drug up from a public school government surplus sale. The toilet fill line is leaking, so there’s a little rusty puddle behind the commode. The outlet that presumably housekeeping plugs the vacuum into every day is coming apart. No outlets near the bedside table. One outlet at the desk. Basic accomodations, sure, but at $ 160 a night, I expect a bit better.

Super clean, surprisingly good breakfast bar for a hotel of this caliber, and courteous staff. Know that the elevator moves like tortoises on rappel and kitchenette is no more than a microwave, coffee maker and a fridge, but this isn’t trying to be the intercontinental, either.

I’ve stayed at this Fairfield Inn two or three times over the past year plus. Staff has always been friendly and courteous, my rooms have been nice and clean, and I have gotten a good night’s sleep. There’s not a lot to do here or in the immediate area, but it serves it’s purpose. There is a couple other hotels nearby and if all other things were equal, I’d prefer to stay at the Residence Inn on the same road. But for what can sometimes be a $ 50 per night difference, I’d probably choose the Fairfield again.

Decent average hotel. Free internet. Outdoor pool. Free parking. Not much in walking distance, but Cracker Barrel and Wendy’s. Friendly staff. On site laundry.

Certainly not the best nor the most modern Fairfield Inn I’ve stayed at. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. The breakfast was one of the better ones for variety of items, but the breakfast area is too small for the number of guest they can accommodate. Not sure why they can’t figure out how many USA Today’s to get when they know how many rooms and guests are going to be there. What was really disappointing is there’s no fitness center. Had I known that before, I would have stayed elsewhere. Probably won’t be back.
