The breakfast is great. Get there early on the weekend, unless you like long waits. No wait time during the week. I’ll have to try lunch sometime…

Never again, I was immediately greeted by a bald headed guy running around yelling like a crazy person, mumbling to himself and swearing at the poor cook who looks dirty filthy in fact like a homeless person. This place use to be nice, the pics posted are not what it looks like now, a flee market… junk everywhere. I brought my grandchildren in and got gum stuck to my foot as soon as I got in the place smelled like cigarettes and stale beer, it’s a breakfast place! Made me wonder what goes on at night in there The crazy bald little man was yelling at a waitress about the cut he should get for some thing in regards to him busing table so. she was crying. The cook threw something in the back and a mean old man was yelling in Greek, I think! Crazy place, I didn’t bother ordering… I walked out. How they stay in business I have no idea, smelly, dingy place with bricker brack everywhere. Outside is just as bad… Sad, very sad… That place needs a complete overhaul, from the dirty cook to the bald freaky guy

I’ve been here about 4 times and today definitely was the last time I will be visiting. I walked in and it was busy(which was expected for about 11:30AM on a Sunday), but there was an open table so my brother and I sat right down. After 15 minutes the woman cleaning the tables noticed that we haven’t been acknowledged so she asked us if she could get a drink(and a menu since there wasn’t any on the table). After almost 30 minutes of us sitting at the table, we were asked to order(meanwhile all of the other customers were actually vocalizing how angry they were about the painfully slow and rude service). One man and his wife actually got up and left after causing a scene and being insulted by the owner(bald man who was mentioned by another Unilocaler). After being almost done with my meal, I came across a hair. I told the waitress and I was never apologized to about the delay in service or asked if I would like another meal. She also never even mentioned taking it off the bill, she actually handed me the bill with my meal written on it and said«sorry about the hair». I understand that it happens that every once in a while there is a hair on a plate and I wasn’t even that upset about it, I just would have liked the courtesy of getting a different meal or even compensated for the inconvenience. I used to rave about this place but I know now that I will be telling everyone I know to never go there. The food is great but the service and lack of customer care would be enough to keep me away. Go down to As Good As It Gets in Wilmington and hands down you will get the best service and the best food for a great price and it will be well worth the long lines to get in there!

I wasn’t too impressed with this place and thought the waitress could’ve been friendlier

The service was bad, but I will say that it wasn’t her fault because she was the only waitress. However all the food we got was terrible, so we won’t be going back.

A homey(literally, located in a house), diner experience. Pick a seat and sit down! The Formica booth table has a paper placemat with a map of Greece on it. The waitress asked us almost as soon as we sat down if we wanted coffee. Our request for tea was no problem. Love the colorful coffee mugs, even if the colors are from advertising. A place like this has to do everything it can to survive. In addition to eggy breakfast standards, food selections include strawberry or banana oatmeal, interesting specials like the«Special Ham,» which comes with a meal or in a Benedict. Ok, so maybe that’s not so exotic, but my poached eggs, requested to be cooked soft, were perfectly done and tasted fresh. What more can you ask for? Don’t forget – CASHONLY!

This is a GREAT breakfast place. My boyfriend loves going out for breakfast on Sunday. Of all the places he’s taken me in the area, this is the one that I was begging to go back to after the first time. The menu has all the regular breakfast options and everything we’ve gotten has been delicious. Great omelets, pancakes, bacon, raisin toast, home fries. Yum yum. We usually go early before its too busy and service is quick. Service is generally good. It does seem that the regulars get a little extra niceness, but maybe that will include us soon!

I have to give 2 stars because of the service. We were completely ignored for about 20 mins while the owner(?) — bald skinny guy — poured over other tables and chit chatted and was pretty much useless. If I walk in this place again and see him, Ill walk right back out. He made the staff nervous and frantic to the point where you could feel the tension and stress — it was horrible. Food was good though but not enough to outweigh this guy.

I have driven past this place for years. My daughter and I had been fishing and we were cold and hungry so we figured we’d give rt-38 Café a try cause it was just up the street. The service was not fast at all but friendly enough. Good joe. Food portions were very good. My daughters kids menue silver dollar chocolate chip pancakes would have filled most adults. I had hash & eggs with home fries and e-muffs which also had a good portion size. Home fry potatoes weren’t great but everything else was very good. The hash was crispy which is the way I like it. Overall… RT-38 Café is not going to win any culinary awards but with good quality, large portions and good prices. It’s a good value breakfast…

We were looking for a new breakfast spot to try so my wife and I visited this restaurant with out daughter over Labor Day weekend. The décor was filled with posters of classic movie stars like Audrey Hepburn. The wait staff was very friendly and quick, even with a packed house. I had the raisin French toast and my wife had the farmers breakfast. It was delicious! We both cleaned our plates, as did our daughter. I would definitely recommend checking this place out for a nice Sunday breakfast.

Love this place! I’ve only had breakfast here so I can’t speak for the lunch but yummm! This is my new favorite breakfast place. The prices are VERY reasonable, their coffee is good, their food is very good(I have been 4 times so far and not a single complaint), the waitresses are super friendly and really attentive which is greatly appreciated. What more could you ask for? The décor is lacking(old fashioned, but still, it’s clean) but hey — who cares, it adds to the charm and I’d rather look at outdated furnishes and have a good meal than sit in a pretty room with a crappy breakfast

I love this place. I get there a couple times a month. When there is a wait it is not long. I always leave stuffed and smiling. My wallet is not empty when I leave either. Quick friendly service. What more can I ask for.

This is a fun little townie joint that screams small-town diner. Those who have read my review of Dotty and Ray’s will note that I love these kinds of places. My friends and I went here on a Saturday morning and immediately got a table for the 6 of us. The service was friendly and the menu was filled with the regular breakfast fare. Not too pricey(I stayed under $ 10 with my omelet, coffee, and juice). No complaints about the food. It’s not gourmet, but hey, you’re in a tiny breakfast place in Tewksbury! The place is small, so if you get there during peak hours, you might have to wait a few. However, the place moves pretty quickly, so you won’t have to wait too long.

Good coffee, reasonable prices, and really fast service. This little family owned breakfast and lunch diner has the usual breakfast staples — eggs, bacon, pancakes, french toast, free coffee refills… The home fries are nothing more than bland boiled potatoes, which makes it pointless to get eggs(at least for me), so do yourself a favor and get the cinnamon apple pancakes. Oh, and bring cash. They don’t take cards and there’s no ATM.
