Great spot! Came in for brunch on a Sunday and had to wait a bit. They have a free coffee(and hot chocolate) bar while you wait. They were super busy but staff was friendly and nothing was greasy… one of the best omelettes I’ve had out and the pancakes were light and fluffy. The bacon wasn’t overcooked and the home fries were killer. Can’t wait to come back again and try lunch which looked equally good as it passed by.

Unilocal really came through with this breakfast/brunch spot! As we pulled up to the restaurant, one look at the exterior and location, and my family questioned my choice of restaurant, hah. The way the fun, colorful restaurant sign pops atop the drab brownish red building at the corner of a dull strip is the same way this restaurant stands out amongst the other breakfast/brunch spots in the area. My family and I(party of 5) were told it would be a 30 min wait. It was about 35 mins, but that’s understandable for a Sunday brunch at noon, esp at a hot spot such as this. They have a FREE self-serve coffee bar just inside which pacified our growling stomachs. It took about as long for our orders to arrive. The décor was quirky, whimsical, clean, and eclectic. I imagine an upbeat, type A personality, super cheerful primary school teacher having enlisted her art class to help decorate. I mean that in a sincerely complimentary way Our coffees were frequently refilled and the coffee was always hot, steam-billowed-from-the-cups-status-hot(which makes me happy). We ordered various omelettes and pancakes. The house fries w onions and peppers — SOGOOD. The menu has great standard breakfast/brunch fare, but the presentation and execution is definitely above standard. Great service, great food, nice ambiance– all for slightly less than the cost of getting something similar at a 2.5 star IHOP!!! Will def be going back next time I’m in town.

Absolutely a hidden gem in Wilmington. On a Friday morning, we were seated relatively quickly as a small party of two. There was free coffee in the waiting area and very cute seating outside. I ordered a special and the homefries with peppers and onions, and my friend ordered an egg-dish. He said, «I think these are the best eggs I’ve ever had.» I said, «I think these are the best homefries I’ve ever had.» They were SO delicious! Perfectly fried without being overly crunchy or overly soft. The seasoning was magnificent, really something special. The special I ordered was«The Star Spangled Pancakes.» It was a blueberry pancake, a strawberry pancake, and a banana pancake with whipped cream on top. They didn’t even need syrup, and they were fluffy and GIANT! The portions are generous, and prices are very reasonable. Also they have a very wide selection of items– you may have trouble deciding!(Or, like me– you’ll have to come back!)

I came here after seeing this place featured on Phantom Gourmet and walked away disappointed. I waited 45 minutes which I had no problem doing, however, found the food to be mediocre at best. I ordered a breakfast«panini» which to my dismay turned out to be an oversized omelette between two pieces of toast. As a result, the sandwich fell apart. My friend also ordered a «panini» and the cheese was cold and not even remotely melted. The one positive were the hash browns which were crispy and tasty.

This place was 10 minutes from the Crowne Plaza where I stayed for business. We had breakfast here 3 times, and I don’t even have a regular diner at home. This place makes you feel welcome, food is great service is great. Eggs benedict, and carprese panini is really yummy.

Another hidden gem — I like the self-service coffee while you wait. Good food and a decent price. Waitstaff is always friendly(I’ll be honest, always been for breakfast but I hear that they do a great Lunch service as well)

The quote next to the 5 stars on Unilocal even says is! «As good as it gets!»(Punny, no?) Anyways, first thing first, expect to wait on the weekend. I mean a half hour wait, a stroll around the block 2 – 3 times and maybe it will be ready when you get back, kinda wait. Seems horrible while all you want is breakfast on a Saturday morning when maybe that last beverage last night wasn’t necessary, but it’s worth it! SOWORTHIT. They have FREE coffee while you wait, complete with all the fancy flavored syrups you could want! FREECOFFEE. FREE. The hostess is super friendly and patient. The waitresses have a constant smile as they skate around with coffee pot in hand. This place loves to give you coffee and I don’t mind one bit! Now the most important part… the food. Two of us ordered: eggs with corned beef hash, home fries, toast and one egg white omelette with onions, mushrooms, and American cheese. The food is fresh, hot, and quick! Delicious all around! They do offer peppers and onions in your home fries if you’re interested! Fantastic!

We found this place on our way to Guard Up, nearby in Burlington. I loved the food, and took four muffins to the folks at Guard up. The reviews from them were fabulous. And the food we had was incredible! Excellent bacon, potatoes, and the eggs were nummy!

I like breakfast food a lot for the most part but I absolutely hate home fries. They’re thick and dry and and taste like nothing and I have to either fill up on them instead of eating the actual food on my plate or leave them all there and be like«thanks for going to the trouble of making these for the garbage sucker». As far as I can tell they’re just a conduit for ketchup, and who likes ketchup so much that they need to devote half their plate to it? Sometimes you’ll get some that come out kind of orange and think«oh hey this looks like it will actually taste like something» but it’s still dry and bland and gross except now someone spilled a spice rack on it. Anyway, my point with all of this is that my breakfast here came with home fries and I finished all of them and enjoyed them thoroughly.

I just love Good As It Gets. Delicious breakfast place with a huge selection and fast quality service. You need to get here early because this place is always packed. The food is tasty, the coffee is never ending(and its decent), the home fries are delicious. This place is just about the little touches– like the tables have all the condiments you need– including hot sauce and ketchup. Great breakfast spot

Been here dozens of times in the last three years, including during a snow storm because it’s just that good. There’s always a wait(well worth it). Ample room to wait outside on benches, inside in chairs by the take out counter or in the doorway and the self serve coffee bar(best coffee from a breakfast place I’ve ever had with New England’s own!) and muffin samples can usually settle down even the hungriest, most excited customers. Try their tri-berry muffin grilled when you go!

Here is my update. After hearing how much the people we knew liked it there, we gave it another shot. This time the staff couldn’t have been nicer. I didn’t see the waitress who shouted at us «to get out of her way» hopefully she’s gone. The food is solid, and I’m glad we returned.

I love breakfast. I love diners. I love great service. So, naturally, this place is at the top of my list. When I moved to Wilmington, my boyfriend and I came in for breakfast and were blown away by the prices, the waffles(everyone else screws up waffles), and the kindness from the host and server. Living in Boston had allowed me a sampling of diners around the area– Busy Bee, South Street, Victoria’s, Johnny’s Luncheonette, Deluxe Station, Mul’s, the list goes on. And being originally from RI I was spoiled with excellent diners. As Good as It Gets is now my goto for my absolute favorite meal of the day. The décor is warm, there are muffins to sample while you wait to get seated or pick up a togo order. Considering my schedule, I usually order an omelette for pickup and they always get it right. The hash browns are a welcome accompaniment– they’ll make them even crispier for you to order if you ask. And they manage to keep the toast from getting soggy. I snag an iced coffee from their self serve(love it) coffee station. I’m out the door and the double ahead of me at worse seems less impossible. Last week, on a particularly bad day, I decided to sit and eat and they had no problem with it being just me. It wasn’t very busy and I sat in Kelly’s section(I believe that’s her name). She was great despite it being scattered with one tops– I know that feel all too well. She was kind and attentive, balancing her tables while taking phone orders– another feel I know all too well. I left with my heart feeling a bit lighter. They do say, and I believe, that food is love. Make sure you’re prepared to wait on the weekends. I promise it is well worth it. Just writing this review has made it clear to me I have to pop in before work today. Thanks again to Kelly and the crew over at As Good As It Gets for super eats, a wonderful atmosphere, and stellar service.

This place is great. So great that if you show up on the weekend, prepare to wait a long time depending on when you arrive. Cozy, local, and really tasty breakfast/lunch food. My favorite dish hands down is the florentine quiche with the crescent roll top. My sister got some fat, fluffy pancakes that were the envy of the whole table. This is the place to go if you want hearty, filling and reasonably priced meal for sure.

Have to say… We come here every month and have always had a great experience, until this morning. The young hostess was completely rude to me and had an attitude. Nothing against the food or place, but I won’t spend my money where I’m disrespected. I didn’t appreciate it one bit so we left. I won’t be coming back. Update: the owner graciously reached out to me and apologized for the incident. I’m very appreciative and added a star from my original rating accordingly.

+ Tasty and creative menu, fast and attentive service, cheerful and warm décor + I went to AGAIG on Sunday around 1pm with my girlfriend. It was pretty busy so the hostess welcomed us to the coffee bar. The menu has some unique options, one which is the Wilmington Whopper, a triple decker made of bacon, egg, sausage and cheese on a bread of your choice. I got that with a side of corn beef hash. Because cholesterol completes me. The service was fast considering how busy they were. Our waitress was professional and friendly. The décor is bright and definitely has a café feel. Orange walls, plates and cups are all different colors. Absolutely worth a try.

I’m not from the area and looked to Unilocal for some ideas on brunch near my hotel. As good as it gets seemed like our best bet. We pulled into a strip mall parking lot and walked into As Good as it Gets. The vibe was friendly and casual. The wait was about 15 minutes and the hostess directed us to get coffee while we waited. When you walk in their signature dishes are posted on the wall with pictures, descriptions, and prices. They have an eclectic mix of food on the menu ranging from salads to pancakes to barbecue. Our waitress was friendly and the atmosphere had a «down home» feel to it. I went with one of their specialities the Crab Cake Benedict and substituted corned beef hash in place of the home fries it usually comes with. It was creative comfort food and I’d definitely recommend it.
