Nice location. Sat outside overlooking the golf course. The service was not great. It took us 25 minutes to get anyone’s attention to give us a menu or get us water. The food was ok. I had a burger and my son had the lobster mac and cheese. Both were pretty good but the service was very slow. I would recommend if you are not on a tight time crunch and want to eat outside.

I am only giving this place one star because I have to. let me first start out by saying I own my own company and have worked every single shitty job you could ever imagine. From serving to retail. I get it. But this. This was on a whole other level. I was treated like complete garbage in this place and if this is how they treat customers who spend well over $ 340 in a day they need to change how they do business. I went to the country club around 12:30pm to get some lunch and enjoy my work day out on the patio. I was greeted by Two servers that were absolutely lovely I got a lot of work done and got to relax outside which was nicer than being stuck in my office. Around 5pm my mother called me and asked what I was doing, I told her I was at TCC… having some terrible experiences there her self she was hesitant to come and meet me but I talked her into it. Once she got there the sun had gone down so we moved inside. We ordered a bottle of wine and buffalo tenders and just hung out until my friend showed up. She ordered a salad and one more bottle of wine and to be honest… This is literally the only ONE time our server came to our table. Another server dropped her salad off and not once did anyone offer her a water or even a glass for her wine. We had to literally wave our server down for ice, water… a glass… Anything! We ended up running into The old principle and current football coach and enjoyed talking about TMHS and what’s going on around town. When we got back to our table we were ready to go but thought«screw it! One more glass of wine»(this is 9:15pm) our server comes back and says last call was already called(at 9pm) but«we could pay our bill be go» … Okay. there was a rowdy group of people next to us(who had been drinking during the function at the«club» all night) and I am all about people enjoying their time and having fun! They were banging on the tables and playing thumper and I LOVED this! I ended up talking to one of the guys and joking around with him and ended up getting him number. Thanks TCC… Not! What happened after this was completely disgusting. I payed our bill and once again… To be honest, tipped $ 35 outside on a $ 74 bill(will attach) but when I got the bill I said out loud. Tip?!? Who am I tipping?! I had to go to the bar to get my self a glass of water. I had to flag down a server for a WINEGLASS. I’m not tipping you because you did not do ANYTHING. As I was paying my bill I notice 2 glasses of wine I had already payed for outside somehow got on my bill for inside, this is when things get a little intense. The manger Judy comes over and starts yelling at me saying I’m yelling at the staff… Not once did I yell. I am loud by nature so I’m told but I don’t mean to be also, the server came to our table ONCE how was I ever yelling at her?! She the says I said«this is why this place is tanking» never once did those words leave my mouth. I don’t know how TCC is doing nor do I care. She the says something about the owner and the only thing I know about the owner. Literally at all. Is that he has been very good to me and my family in time of need. Which I appreciate and which is why I spend a lot of money at his restaurant. I then began to get upset. The manger, Judy. Then told me I have had too much to drink and that she was calling the police on me. I will attach my receipts so all can see. I did nothing wrong. Not once. And was treated like garbage. I truly. Just want my money back and my whole night back. This place is a disgrace and if Judy(the«manager») felt like I had too much to drink, maybe she should have not served out table as much as she did.(Those two bottles for three people hahahaha) Honestly. The staff and the management in this place is a joke. I was told I was yelling when I was not, I was told I was drunk when I was not, I was charged for drinks I was not served and then treated like an idiot when I questioned it. Judy also said she was going to call the cops on me for drinking and driving. Look at the receipts that I’m turning into the Tewksbury police department tomorrow… Was it me or did you just serve me too much and then not want to claim responsibility TCC? All I want is my last 11 hours back and my $ 340 back. I’ve never been told I have ever been rude to the staff here. Ever. In fact. I have become friends with several of the serves at TCC and hang out with regularly. I don’t appreciate had a being told I was rude, when I know for a fact I was not. If your«server» came to our table ONCE. We wouldn’t have had a single issue. Not a single. One. I was also told by Judy that we were rude to the table playing«thumper» even though we joined in!!! This manger was not even in the tavern when this happened so we are all confused by this?!? Any answers on this particularly would be GREAT! Thank God one of my best friends is an editor at Buzz feed… NEXT! If you don’t want to give me my money back. At Least give it to charity.

We have been here several times as a family and would probably have rated it as a 4 star from past experiences. However, tonight, we walked out before ever even sitting down. My daughter received her first Holy Communion sacrament earlier in the morning. We decided to take her for a quiet family dinner(5 of us) after a bigger morning celebration with extended family. While walking in, we were greeted by a hostess who asked«how many?» This is normal. Her next question to us was, «Do you think you will be finished before one hour?» Are you kidding me? Did you really just ask me that? While I was thinking that in my head, another couple walked out telling her that they were they were unhappy where she seated them. I proceeded to tell her that«hour» would depend on the service of the restaurant. She then went on showing us her iPad with scheduled seating reservations. Don’t show us that please. Needless to say, we left and dined elsewhere tonight. Unbelievable!

We go to Tew Mac Tavern all the time for a fun weekend drink. The servers are always great– happy to help, friendly, and quick. The few times we have ordered food it has been delicious! It’s a warm atmosphere that makes us keep wanting to come back!

We went here a few weeks ago in a Saturday night. The service was great! Our waitress was really friendly, and attentive. I wish I remembered her name. The manager also checked in on us to see how our dinner was. Martinis were great and not overpriced. Salads were fresh. I ordered a turkey dinner which was really good, and portion was large. I brought half home. My boyfriend ordered a pork chop from the daily special menu, which he really enjoyed. Prices overall were reasonable. Nice atmosphere too. We will definitely go back.

Love Tew-Mac Tavern, the best loaded nachos with Chile I ever had. My husband and I go to Tew-Mac Tavern at least 2x a month for lunch and do take out 2x a month. The wait staffs are very friendly. The service is always quick the food is amazing. I have never had a bad meal there. It a low key, causal place with high quality American food. The prices are reasonable, but feel the entrees are a bit too high. In the winter you can sit by the fire place and have a glass of wine and in the summer you sit outside by the fire and have a glass of wine and relax. It’s never too busy. Give it a try you will become addicted to their food.

Great food, great service, at a very affordable price. My daughter and I went to the Tew Mac Tavern after the Tewksbury father/daughter dance. We had 3 cheese risotto arancini for an appetizer, my daughter have a cheeseburger with fries and I had the chicken calabrese with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. The portions were great(we both took food home). The quality of the food was almost high end. And, at the end of the night, including drinks, the bill was under $ 50. Will be back ASAP and highly recommend anyone to try it out

This restaurant is part of a larger function hall /country club, but don’t let that deter you. The food is good, and the atmosphere is even better… wonderful on a cold winter night. You can sit by a crackling fire, although we chose to sit at the bar. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had the warm spinach salad — loved it; perfect for a meal is you’re not too hungry. My date had the Thanksgiving wrap — good, but the turkey has some chewy, gristly turkey pieces in it. Not as appetizing as it would have been if they took the time to take those things out of the turkey slices.

Great food. Good price. Perfect service. We will be back! We also liked their take out service too. One of the benefits if living at Eagle Landing. Very accommodating to our reservation of 10 this month. Our quest loved it too.

I loved it here! The view of the beautiful fountains in the golf course was magical. And there’s a piano player some evenings, which makes it even more romantic. Our waitress was very professional and thorough, and our food came out quickly. Very yummy! I cant wait to go back

I was at the club for New Year’s Eve. We had drinks in the tavern and then had a wonderful dinner and listened to music by the trio in the dinning room. The atmosphere was festive with the fireplace and Christmas tree. Our hostess, Judy, was very accommodating and I will definitely consider reservations for next year!

Total bogie of an experience. The space is lovely, warm, and inviting. I bet if this were just a cozy place to suck back a few libations, it is quite suitable. However, as a full-fledged restaurant, it is well below par. HA! See what I did there!!! PAR. Like… like golf, you know? Overall, the food was overcooked(rubbery chicken) and underseasoned(literally every dish needed a nice pinch of sodium). I wasn’t expecting a hole in one, but this seemed to underwhelm even for«country club faire.» I’ll hoof it over to Angelina’s across the street next time I’m in the mood to tee off on a meal.

This place makes me want to play a lot more golf! The outdoor set-up, beautiful views and entertainment is special. The wait was too long for a table outside but we got a table by the window overlooking and visited after our meal on this warm, breezy evening. My meal — the Lobster Mac and Cheese was without a doubt the best Lobster M&C I’ve ever had. Now, that said, i don’t often get this because of the calories and if they screw up and make it too cheesy or soupy it feels like the arteries are clogging with every spoon full. Not here, that’s for sure — you use a fork here. Autumn got the kids Mac and Cheese with a side of broccoli — which was basically the entire plant(mind you she ate it all because this six year old loves broccoli … weird but delightful). Deb’s Chicken and Risotto was a little drier than desirable and she wouldn’t get this one again, still certainly not bad. This would be the only reason for the 4 stars because the service — even while waiting(is it me that waiting on stairs is a little weird but a little charming?). I love this place and wish I lived closer — another visit could likely erase the 4 stars to 5 star level.

My wife and I have been to the Tew-Mac Tavern many times. The atmosphere is very nice, the food is good, however the service has gone down hill to the point where we may not be back. Tonight when our food was brought out, the person that brought it just dropped it off and ran off without saying word or asking us if everything was OK. In fact some of my meal was missing and there was no one around to follow-up. By the time I was able to flag down our waitress to get the balance of my meal and I second drink I was done with my meal.

The lobster mac and cheese is hands down the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had it fresh out of the water in Maine. I would 100% be back just because of it. The whiskey sour was on point also with it

The girls and I golf here, usually on Friday nights… and the tavern is always SLAMMED by the time we come off the course around 7PM. This«19th» hole establishment(technically«10th hole») is much more glamorous than most post-golfing places. While I’m usually there for a few drinks and some apps(BTW, the calamari is TODIEFOR), I’m always keyed into the delicious plates flying by on the way to their diners. The prime rib looks amazing, as does the jumbo shrimp cocktail. Judging by the fact that it’s always crowded, lots of non-golfing locals eat here as well. I’d like to come back for a real meal during lunch, perhaps. The dining room itself is fairly small… so large groups may be better served sitting on the outdoor patio?
