Chili’s

The food was very good and decently priced. My only big problem is that the service is wicked slow. It took almost 50 minutes for a burger and a salad, and there was barely anyone in the restaurant.

This used to be a great place to go to when you wanted good, quick food. But unfortunately, the last few months of me visiting this place have been terrible to say the least. With the constant excuses of being «understaffed» or half the staff being «new» (even though I see the same people every time I go there), I will not be going back. Today me and my mother waited 50 minutes to be seated and then after we watched several people, who came in after us, we decided to ask the hostess what is going on. Instead of giving my mother a truthful answer she said we were «next». After watching 2 other parties be seated we decided to ask again, this time aggravated, what was going on. She told us again that we were next and apologized for being new. 2 minutes after the second hostess came up and scolded my mother for asking the new girl what was going on. We spoke to the manager whom was the biggest joke ever (unprofessional and just made excuses for her employees instead of correcting the situation). Then once we said something about calling to corporate, she bribed us with free food (and it wasn’t even good). I hope that no one ever has to go to this place and deal with the ignorant and unprofessional people I did.

Good burger, good fried pickles and good service. Went with my daughter for early dinner. Place was empty. A good relaxed meal. Shana was our server. She did a great job.

Don’t go to this location. I know it’s a chain but there are minimum standards that should be met. This place doesn’t. Long waits after ordering. Food served cold. Not a chance of going back to this location.

My husband and I received a gift certificate to chillis for Christmas we decided to us it yesterday and we were pleasantly surprised. I haven’t been to chillis in years — the menu has expanded and actually had some pretty decent options! I got three tacos one shrimp, one pork and one chicken! The shrimp and pork ones were out of this world! I would absolutely get them again. Felt very fresh for a chain restaurant. My husband got the smothered chicken burrito and he too was happy with his selections. Great service and it was enjoyable to sit at the bar and have some beverages!

I went here with a friend a few weeks ago and the hostess didn’t even acknowledge our presence when we walked in and she was using her phone very obviously. she was very unfriendly and didn’t say a word as she walked us over to our table. Not to mention we waited forever for our food. We were starving by the time the food came because they don’t even give you bread or chips and salsa to start unless you pay for it. No wonder the place was so empty. I will not be returning.

Visited the Wilmington Chili’s location last night, for a quick dinner.
Definitely better than all of these terrible reviews!!!
Kaylea, my waitress, was very friendly and kind during my visit, and made sure to tell me everything about their promotions, deals, and sweet rewards program. I also made not of these super cool «Ziosk» machines at each table. They were very cool and modern, wish other chain restaurants had cool technology like this. Anyway, the food was delicious, I got some cheeseburger, the name was something like «Ol’ Timer», and it was flavorful, quick, yet wish it was larger (as I wasn’t a full meal). Also, expect to wait on a Saturday. This place is the only real full-​service chain in the Main Street area of Wilmington, and isn’t the largest restaurant alive, therefore, when I came in, there was not a wait (but gosh was it busy in there), but when I left their was a 25 minute wait (I overheard one of the waitress´).
My suggestions for the Wilmington Chili´s: a. Add more booths. I definitely would prefer a restaurant with all booths and a bar, rather than a few booths, and mostly tables (tables aren´t ever as comfortable). b. Expand your restaurant and use your space in a better, easier way. Way too much empty space for a wait. and c. consider giving your customers MORE food for what they pay for. They really shouldn´t be hungry when they leave (which is why I normally choose TGI Fridays, but up here there aren´t many, or any throughout a 15 mile radius).
Overall, good visit and good meal, as well as a great waitress. Just a few small problems this location needs to re-​consider. 4 stars.

This location is awful. Food is almost always cold and or dilapidated looking, service is garbage, they are constantly out of items on the menu and on multiple occasions have had to ask for silverware. Cut your losses and close it down.

Let me start off by saying that Chilis is by far my favorite chain restaurant. This location, however, has certainly let me down– and more than once.
They need to figure out their to-​go system because I haven’t had one good experience with ordering my food to-​go. They always mess something up and it’s really upsetting and quite shocking that they’ve never gotten it correct. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with NO tomatoes and NO bacon. Guess what I get? Both! And the slip had my order correct, it just must’ve been the cooks who disregarded it. Pretty annoying. I hate tomatoes and bacon makes me sick, but the bacon was stuck all under the cheese so in order to remove the bacon I had to take off the cheese as well. It wasn’t worth me to go back since I was already home and the fries were already getting cold. Love Chilis, not a fan of this particular location.

10 minutes for drinks (actually, just a waiter)
Appetizer. Okay… but no plates, napkins or silverware until I talked to the hostess. Waiter took appetizer plates5and said food is ready. 15 minutes later, cold burgers, and salad served.
Even french fries were chilly.
Never had problem in past…

Unless you’re looking for poor service, flat warm beer, and terribly prepared food, avoid this Chilis like the plague. It easily has to be the absolute worst Chilis in their chain. And we’re so lucky to have it here in Wilmington. Save your money, microwave yourself some easy-​mac, and you’ve made a meal 10 times better than anything you’ll get in this place.

Don’t go for lunch probably because is short kitchen crew .
Frye pickles is bad and soggy.
Enchilada was average looks like was seating in the window. Weird burger with a sweet potato bun I thought chillis was Mexican. Waiters Jenna try hard she was friendly but bring the refills with the dessert who want soda with desert ??? And a really cold coffee … My experience was totally incomplete food with no soda, soda with dessert, and cold coffee. Thanks.

One word, Terrible. I would select no stars if it was an option. This was the 2^nd time I have tried to have dinner at this location. The first time was a year ago and we walked out because they were not seating anyone after waiting and waiting, when there were 5 open tables. This time we walked in and there were 13 tables, yes, 13! tables open and we were told there was a 15 – 20 minute wait. We asked it we could sit at one of the available high top tables in the bar and were told that, «when there are people waiting, the hostess has to seat you.» I have been to Chili’s all over the country when travelling, and have never had to wait to sit in the bar!
To make matters worse, when asking, out of curiosity, why there was a wait when there were 13 available tables, she said, «Because there is a kitchen in the back and they have to cook food in there and they told me to hold off seating.» She was extremely rude and condescending! I will never return.

This place is disgusting!
After taking a bite out of my burger… I noticed two bites taken out of the bottom of the burger… They gave me a burger that had been bitten into and returned, they only switched the top bun. The waitress told the manager who took a half hour to even come to the table and address the issue. It was not busy… They never even attempted to get me another burger. This is a poorly run pathetic waste of a nice looking establishment. They graciously did not charge for our meals… And apologized… So they got that right.
Eat at your own risk here … This is only one of many stories I’ve heard about this particular franchise.
Disgusting !

Food was good. Waitress was really nice I just won’t give this place 4 or 5 stars because it seems like my food was thrown onto my plate and was disorganized. Droppings were around my plate and the beans looked like they came from a can. While the waitress was nice she was the only waitress working until we left and this was around 3pm and not only that but she just assumed I was done eating without asking. I will go back but these things shouldn’t occur.

I’m not too sure why everyone is complaining about this place! I’ve been here twice with my Boyfriend and we had a fantastic time BOTH times. Second time was even better then the first. Our waitress was really awesome. she had great tattoos of birds on her chest and was really fun! We loved her… We’re always in the area and love going to this Chili’s we’re not too sure why everyone is complaining! PEOPLE it’s a chain restaurant…

Food is consistent but Adam is a fantastic waiter! My mom and I came here to grab a bite and it was fabulous for a Chili’s!

I don’t know why a review of Chillis is needed but news flash people its Chillis you get what you pay for. If you want «real» food go to a real restaurant and leave when you realize how expensive it really is.

Ok, my original review said it was hit or miss… it’s just miss. I will not be surprised if this place goes out of business soon which is unfortunate because it has potential. The waitress we had was great but the food was terrible. I ordered the shrimp fajitas with peppers no onions. I wish I took a picture of what they charged me 14 dollars for. Basically, it was six tiny shrimp and six pieces of pepper. The waitress apologized when she brought it to the table. If you have to apologize you should probably fix it before it gets to the table.
I have ordered this at chilis many times before and been completely satisfied. This particular chili’s is just terrible. They really need to get it together.

So bad, the waitress even said its okay to not leave a tip. Not sure if she was having a bad night, or if she was inexperienced. It was so bad, I wrote the manager an email.
