Econo Lodge

I travel for a living and prefer taking home more money and staying at a budget hotel instead of coming back with less money because I stayed at a higher priced hotel. And I have been around long enough to know that higher price does not always mean higher quality. This place is in an excellent location and for $ 42 a night I pretty much got what I expected. I did not expect a free hot breakfast so I simply ate at an I hop about a mile away. I did expect clean– got it. I expected quiet– not so much– but was reasonable. I expected a hot shower with good flow that drained– got it. I expected friendly efficient front desk– got it. I expected flat screen tv with free HBO– got it. I expected a comfortable bed — ehhh– ok– at least I can stand straight. Do not expect an iron or ironing board– they will provide if asked for. But because of the location– all kinds of restaurants within walking distance right off major highway and because of price– do recommend. One suggestion– how come– since you provide wifi — you are unable to email a receipt? Is that true or was the check out girl too lazy to do it?

We were checked in by Shawnee at the front desk. After 9 hours of driving she made us forget our long day. She went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Her smile and helpfulness made us forget how tired we were. Her suggestions for dinner were right on. Thank you Shawnee. You made our day.

Nice rates and nice room. Very economical as the name states. Clean room though not a top tier motel room. Just a good solid room. I will stay here again if I come through again. I highly recommend this motel.

Great for travelers on a budget. Clean room, tv, air, clean bathroom. You could hear people in next room but no biggie. Def. worth the $ 50

Excellent place, especially for so cheap! Our room was spacious, well-​lit and very clean. The front desk lady was nice and conversational. The shower had hot water and good water pressure. Our room had a fridge, microwave and strong AC. They have free wifi and connecting wasn’t a hassle, like some other places. The only complaints are that it has doors that go right to the outside and that the lobby closes at night. But for $ 45 after taxes it was great!

We stopped here during our nearly-​cross-​country trip from OH to TX. It’s just what you’d expect for this brand, price and location. Nothing fancy but all you need.
The rooms are clean and have all the basic, plus a mini-​fridge. They’re arranged in the classic ‘motel’ style, that is, all doors on the outside. The lobby and breakfast area is in a building separate from the rooms, next to where you check in. FYI — the breakfast leaves quite a bit to be desired. They brew fresh coffee, but otherwise it’s bagels, bread and donuts straight out of a plastic bag, ready for you to toast or microwave, and a couple of different cereals to choose from.
I still give four stars, though, because for an Econo Lodge, it’s very good. Again, it’s clean, on the main drag i.e. convenient and modestly priced (room was like $ 55 – 60 or so).

This is a good budget hotel. The rooms have basic amenities but are clean, There is a complimentary continental breakfast, nothing fancy just basic fare. Service is friendly.

Great people at the desk rooms were clean. Would def stay here again.

Another good thing — there is a 24 hours super walmart across the street.

It’s a budget hotel when compared to others in the area, so you get pretty basic accomodations and breakfast. But, rooms are clean, everything worked fine, and the staff were friendly. I’d stay again if looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Texarkana.
