Night staff was very friendly. For the price it’s not horrible. The cleaning staff needs to do a better job. A chair had something gross on it. The bathtub had someone’s hair. The fan only worked on full blast air condition, when its 55 out I don’t need ac.

We are a young couple traveling with 2 children. 3 months and 17 months. We booked the room for 40 bucks on the Ramada website. At the price we got I wanted to look at the room because I’ve never been there before and you get what you pay for. My husband and I got out the car with the 2 babies and walked up to the door where two women were sitting smoking. The desk clerk and the maid. I greeted them only to be blown off by the dc. I politely stated I had a reservation and would like to see a room. The dc said flat out NO. The maid and my husband looked at her and asked why. She stated no rooms where clean. It was after 3 pm. The maid finally got up and decided to show us one after noticing how upset we were getting. Check in time is 3pm. no clean rooms yet? So the maid showed us 2 clean rooms and we decided to get the room. I walked into the office where the dc was laughing with and checking in another woman(she was black) after checking her in I walked up to the counter(I’m Hispanic my husband is black) she grabbed the broom and walked outside to smoke. 15 minutes later she came back and stated she didn’t have anything available for us and if she did it would be double what the website started it was. After getting upset and leaving she text and called my cell phone from her PERSONAL cell phone. I will be taking further action to make sure NOBODY ever experiences what she put me and my family through. Mind you she shooed us off when we walked away. I still have her texts and number in my logs for proof. Thanks Ramada Texarkana for making me and my children go off on the heat to search for a room.

If I could give this place a zero star I would! Terrible! Room smelled like smoke. The breakfast was a joke! Stake cereal, the juice was out of service. Had gravey but no sausage or eggs. Huh??? Looked like folks were using this place for drug deals… Never again!!!

The only saving grace of this hotel is the staff and it’s proximity to the highway and food. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful but the management needs to put some time and money into maintenance. My room was clean but the smoke detector was torn out of the ceiling, half of the lights in the bathroom were out, the plug was missing from the tub so that you couldn’t take a bath, and one drawer wouldn’t stay closed and you ran into it every time you walked by. My tv had a short and would cut out every 5 – 10 seconds. I went to breakfast the following morning at 0800(halfway through the posted time). The juice machine was empty, the separate container of orange drink(not juice) only had a few drops left and there were no tongs for the doughnuts and bagels. Signs on the walls admonished guests that food was not«to go» and must be consumed in the breakfast room, which was dirty, leaving me feel unwelcome and stuck. The price was moderate for the area and I feel like I would have gotten a comparable hotel with one of the budget places. Unimpressed.

First, we were told by the front desk staff they could not let us into the lobby because of people soliciting the front staff as prostitutes. So we stood outside at a window and checked in. No problem. We then went to our assigned room and it was under construction with equipment and tools everywhere. We went back down to the front desk, and received a different room. We went to the room and the key didn’t work. Went back down to the front desk area and the staff member then accompanied us to a room with a key. The room carpet was wet from the a/c, the comforter had permanent marker stains on it, the chair was badly stained, there was exposed electrical wiring in the ceiling, the shower could not be safely controlled from hot/cold — warm was impossible, and the shower head was not properly secured to the wall. It was room number 301 that we stayed in. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I wrote Ramada corporate and received a $ 50.00 refund check several weeks later after showing them the pictures. There was no apology letter or anything else sent with the check. Very poorly managed hotel to say the least.

The Rooms were clean and smell and bug free and for the $ that was more than worth it. My friend had to get another room their TV did not work was not a problem. In my room the bath tub had been painted and was peeling along with faucet problems. I didn’t feel comfortable to taking a hot bath but I did get a hot shower. The Hot Tub wasn’t working and needed cleaned in a bad way. A lot of little things that some fixing or cleaning would have made this a 4 start hotel.

Located conveniently across the street from the«Pizza Inn» and three gas stations, the Ramada Inn at Texarkana proved to be a perfectly adequate shelter for the night. Pros: Cheap($ 38 bucks!), at least three gas stations in walking distance that sold miller high life in 32 ounce(one quart) CANs for less than $ 2 Cons: Tinier rooms than most so the six of us felt a bit cramped, the sink was inside the bathroom(we prefer the«outside» arrangement so we can get more use out of it, some drunken tailgating in the parking lot(could be considered a pro I guess), minor domestic dispute in the room across the hall from us. Perhaps because we woke up on a Sunday, the free breakfast was busier than most and filled with children who ate all the donuts and biscuits and drank all the milk and non-decaf coffee(I can only assume).
