I’m a huge fan of McAlisters Deli. I travel a lot for work and always stop at McA’s for lunch. Over the last 2 years I’ve had to come to Texarkana a lot for work. My favorite sandwich is the roast beef and cheddar grilled sandwich. One of my favorite things on this sandwich is the caramelized onion marmalade. Unfortunately, ALL7 times I order that sandwich at this location, they always forget, even if I tell the cashier, «please make sure they put the caramelized onions on the sandwich». So this trip I decided to give them one last opportunity to get things right. I ordered the sandwich and it came without the onions. So I informed the manager who had it remade. When the sandwich came back out it had onions… red raw cut onions, NOT caramelized onion marmalade. The girl even gave me a free lunch card, which I left on the table. I’m definitely done with this location. I will NEVER bring my Texarkana clients to lunch here; even if they insist, I’ll make up an excuse why not to eat here.

I have been here many times. Most of them have been positive. However I have noticed when they are busy their quality plummets hard. Last time I went the southwest chicken grilled was so bad I took 2 bites and couldn’t eat anymore. I’m not the type to trip out and return food, but in this case I wanted to really bad. I didn’t because the line was out the door and I’d rather cut my losses at that point. Will go back, but my expectations are heavily lowered… Which is BS with a Mcallisters.

We sat on the patio, they take dogs out there. Nice staff, good food. I had the Reuben it was good, but not great. I will try something else next time because they do have a LOT of choices.

I absolutely love this place. It is my go to comfort food any time of the year. The sweet tea is amazing. I would go just for that alone but then h add in the tortilla soup and a big cookie u can’t go wrong. I’m a picky soup person and this is amazing. I love their potatoes and sandwiches. The menu is varied and I can always find what I want for whatever the mood. Prices are good. who can beat a huge cookie for a buck! In fact I’m hungry again. .time to eat!

I decided on this place due to the review, the hours they were open, and it being across the street from my hotel. The sandwiches were okay. Not the best I’ve had and a little pricey for how small it was. I got a salad, Caesar, on the side. They don’t give you enough dressing for two bites(ask for more) and it kind of tasted fishy to me. The people in there are very friendly though. Great service.

One of our favorite places to eat in Texarkana!!! The kids meals are crazy cheap & my kids love the food! The sweet tea is some of the best in the area. My favorite thing to order is the grilled chicken salad… it’s HUGE! My husband likes to try something new every time we go and that’s easy to do because the menu options are almost never ending!!! Love this place :-)

Texarkanaians finally have a decent spot to enjoy a meal in a safe neighborhood. The sandwich shop thing is over played in most parts of the world, except it has a fresh life here in Texarkana. With an abundance of corporate chains that serves to create more obesity for Americans, McAlisters serves up medium portions, with a touch of class. Thats food and service great under 1 roof. 3 great times here so far, prob will be break 100 before my golf score.

Consistently good service and food. A little pricey but the portions are filling. I especially recommend the«choose two» special. I love their giant cups of sweet tea, but if you want to cut down the sugar, go with unsweetened or half sweet/half unsweet. Everything is really good, whether it’s soup, baked potato, or sandwich. It always takes me forever to order because their menu is HUGE and there are so many good options.

We love going there as a family! With the kids meal being so cheap, and the drinks, we love it. I am a big fan of the taco salads, and my husband enjoys the French Dip sandwich. When I was pregnant, I would try every sandwich, and loved it!!! Oh and the thing that they are most known for… TEA!!! It’s amazing on a hot day!

Hooray for McAlister’s! You save so many from the same old hospital fare, plus your food is pretty darned tasty! McAlister’s has a great array of soups, spuds, and sandwiches. My favorite is their Deli Classic Turkey with Provelone, spicy mustard and mayo. I get it with some unsweetened tea, classic Lay’s chips, and a fruit cup. NOM Their soups are good too. The tortilla soup is surprisingly spicy for a chain’s soup. Also good are the spuds. Their«normal» size spud is some mutant giant thing from Idaho. The half spud is plenty for mere mortals. One nice thing, is you can get a plate that features a «half spud» plus a half sandwich. When I got mine, it really looked like a normal sandwich and spud to me. More than I could eat! Service at this location is great. Everyone is very friendly. If you want a nice sandwich, soup, or spud, get yourself on in there. If you have a loved one in the nearby hospital and are tired of the food, or maybe they are, McAlister’s is definitely a great choice.

What a variety of sandwiches! Every sandwich known to man(or woman) on every kind of bread imaginable and potatoes(Spuds) to boggle the mind. I’m thinking that the soups have to be better than the Chili… ah hem… can opener anyone… All in all, as deli’s go, this place is pretty dang good. Hafta mention that they are famous for their… Ode De Sweeeet Teaaaaa! Overall a good deli that consistently serves good sandwiches and spuds. The staff was fast and very courteous. I can imagine that it must test their patience when folks walk in to a McAlisters for the first time and stare slack-jawed at the menu that is about the size of a custom tour bus!

Better than Subways sandwiches. I got the Submarine and it was fantastic! However, I wasn’t particularly thrilled about their Chili. It was not tomatoey(for lack of a better word.) enough, and was completely mushy, filled with beans and meat, lacking whole flavor… not quite my style.

I haven’t been to McAlister’s in years, mostly because I no longer live in Texas. It was my favorite deli. Great sweet tea(which they don’t really have where I’m currently living) in a huge cup! I used to get the greek pita without olives, grilled chicken sandwich or one of the potatoes. I totally miss McAlisters! Service was always quick, the potato salad, although not my absolute favorite was still consistantly good.
