Office Depot

Disclaimer. I was in a pissy mood yesterday. Some stuff had happened in my work and personal life that just had me down in the dumps. However, I am a fan of people doing their job. Whether that is typing stuff, doing surgeries, not drinking, bagging groceries. So… when I was ready to check out and the girl had a leg up on a ledge behind the counter and moved like molasses, yeah it peeved me. Then someone brought her a plastic bag to bag my stuff and she just left it there for like a full 5 minutes. Yeah that peeved me. It’s not that I can’t do it myself, it’s not that I even needed it bagged. It’s that you are there to provide a SERVICE and you ain’t doing it. I know, I made you walk all the way across the store to get the little notebook that is ratted out its a-​double (y’all need to a new notebook and write it all down pretty like, or you know GET A DIGITAL SYSTEM?! — if you need me to buy you a new notebook, please let me know — I’ll actually do that, although this is OFFICE DEPOT. I imagine you have notebooks up the wazoo. Okay, you need an address book, still. Goodness GRACIOUS ME!) that has a list of all the non-​profits that have an account with you.
I feel like I should know better than to expect a chain business in this itty bitty town to be paid any attention by the headquarters and be of actual standards that it upholds in other parts of the country, but I mean I see office depot and go, yay~! A place I can go and know that people know stuff and help stuff about office.
Anyways, I won’t be back. I’m done y’all.
*I may be back if there is a super good deal that I happen to run into. Because, bargain.

I live in a small town an hour from the nearest Office Depot. Feeling confident they would have what I needed, my husband and I drove the hour to the store. We found where the item we were after should have been but the spot was empty. After not being able to locate anyone on the floor to help us, I went to the cashiers to ask if they might have some in the back that perhaps haven’t been put out on the shelf yet. We were told they just received in a shipment but it would be tomorrow before they could go back into the warehouse to check. I explained we lived an hour away and would not be able to come back so easily. Basically, they shrugged their shoulders and said «sorry». I could not believe the lack of customer service and the sheer laziness from both of the cashiers. I will NOT be back inside this store — EVER! I will order what I need, online, from any other business!
