This place is great. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a small town road trip pit stop and have rarely gotten. The fisherman’s sandwich and turkey and Brie were both excellent, and I subbed the duck fat fries in which was an excellent suggestion. We called ahead and it was ready in 15 minutes so we could eat and get on the road. Definitely stop here for food!!! It will make you feel like a human after too much gas station candy and fast food.

Outstanding! Burgers and fries, pretty common, but, oh, the flavors. Smokey beef patty, crisp and tender fries and even the pickle was made right here. This is a keeper. Third trip: Fisherman’s sandwich was delicious. It has a generous piece of cod plus one of the best crab cakes ever, in a terrific bun dressed with sauce and cole slaw. The dressing and slaw enhanced the flavor which allowed the taste of that beautiful crab cake to walk right into my mouth. FIVESTARSAGAIN.

Well I’m Irish American and I love stopping in at different pubs checking out their menus and tasting different styles of beer, well if you like a pub style atmosphere with good food great line up of brews stop in and let me know. I most definitely will be back, the house brews made the duck fries taste so much better… then I have tried before…

I’ve only been here twice. The first visit was for beer and appetizers only. I don’t remember the appetizers but the beer was great lol. I love the atmosphere. I love that they have kept the old building feel to a place that is in the heart of our down town. I love the very friendly staff. The seating arrangement isn’t my favorite with the family style benches but not awful by any means and there are other options. The one meal that I’ve had was the shrimp and grits. It was delicious. Ironwood Grill has good shrimp and grits but these are better. Good meet and greet place and good date place. Not a good family place imo. I often forget that Pecan Point is here but will do my best to remember in the future.

Really strong menu, well cooked, high quality and very enjoyable. This place lives up to the hype. For the Ark-La-Tex region, Pecan Point represents a new high water mark. They’re trying to produce something outstanding, and they are not settling for«good enough». Thank goodness too, because I’ve been waiting many years to find this level of food & service. Pecan Point is a jewel of Texarkana, and the single best meal I’ve had in the Ark-La-Tex since my move here 3 years ago. Bravo P.P.B… keep up the noteworthy culinary work. You’re doing a superb job.

We came in here for a pint. The menu looks amazing, I wish we were there around meal time. After ordering a beer flight, they had a pecan ale that was my favorite. The IPA was bitter but not hoppy. I am told some people enjoy that in a beer. I am looking foward to my next visit here.

Found this place while in town for a wedding. The staff was really good to us. The owner took time to tell us the history of their brewing adventure and the history of the cool building they’re in. Their house ale made with pecans was really good, wish I could bring a growler on the airplane. The food was excellent and I’m glad we stopped. They’re pretty unique and it was nice see what they’ve done in their spot in the world.

This is Texarkana’s first gastropub. Nice selection of specialty beers, which the husband likes. I had the fisherman’s sandwich which was good. My husband got the burger, and he liked that. Duck fat fries were soggy the first time. The next time we came, we asked for them extra crispy and they were good. Overall, good food for Texarkana. Service is usually pretty good too. The manager comes around to help the wait staff, and makes sure things run smoothly.

Go here! It’s cute and hip and the food is really good. What a pleasant surprise! The duck fat fries can be subbed as an upgrade if you order something that comes with fries– so do it! Don’t hesitate! Yum! Our food was prepared with care and was piping hot. There was an original twist to every dish that took them above the expected pub grub. Now– on to the beers. Get the flight of four local(house brewed) beers. I had three porters and an IPA, and enjoyed them all, especially the oatmeal porter. The cocktail list looks just charming, and I’d like to spend more time just reading it over, maybe on a rainy day, over a plate of those duck fries. Service was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Yay, everyone!

Had a pecan ale, fried okra app, and mushroom app. None were great. For the price I expected a lot more. Okra was mushy and all you can taste is the breading and sauce. Mushroom was from the freezer and only received a few — would be ok if a $ 5 appetizer but not for $ 9 Wanted to like this place but don’t.

Fantastic food and incredibly kind service. The meals were familiar yet unique and a nice departure from the typical bar fare. The beer was varied and delicious. Finally the service, from keeping the kitchen open for us, to making sure we had absolutely everything we needed, all with a genuinely kind smile, was fantastic. P. S.- The pecan cobbler is incredible.

We stopped here on a Friday night when we were staying the night in town to break up our road trip. Definitely was not expecting to get this kind of quality food/drinks or a unique spot like this in Texarkana. I forget what the soup was… Some kind of red pepper butternut squash something or other… It should be called liquid gold. Would definitely recommend and will be sure to stop in next time our travels find us staying the night in town.

This was a great place to eat. My salad was super beautiful to the eye and so fresh with a great combo of flavors. Our waitress was so sweet. I would surely return.

It’s not often you try a new place and honestly leave feeling you have«experienced» something. My wife and I decided to take advantage of the work-provided hotel while I am in Texarkana and spent New Years in town. We couldn’t decide what to eat, with only rule being something we didn’t have back home. I found this place, browsed their menu and saw that they would be bringing in the new year and open and it was a winner. Ok, Ok I saw duck fries, my mouth started watering and that was all she wrote. That said, we arrived around 7, thinking it was going to be packed, however looked like we just beat the rush. We were greeted and told that anywhere we would like to sit would be fine, so we opted to set ourselves at one of the high-tops in the bar area. The location had charm, rustic but modern décor. Menu’s contained on clipboards and big wooden tables. I ordered their house beer(delicious!) and we immediately delved into the menu. Staff was friendly and suggestive from start to finish. We ordered two starters, the duck fries which were served with two sauces which I wish I could remember their menu description but they were the oddest but tastiest things ever to be paired with fries. Absolutely delicious. The other app was the crawfish dip. I couldn’t scrape the bowl fast enough and the chips seemed house-made, another home run. For entrees the sandwiches just seemed too appealing to pass up. Wifey ordered the turkey and brie that also had sliced granny smith apples on it. She couldn’t some commenting on how good it was while devouring it. I ordered the fisherman’s sandwich just based on the menu description alone. Crab cake, fried cod, slaw, remoulade sauce… sign me up. Again, absolutely delicious. I couldn’t have been more happy with the dinner choice I made. It’s not often your in limbo on what to eat and you pick a home run. Hit the spot in every facet. I absolutely would recommend Pecan Point, as it’s a gastropub that lives up to it’s definition.

Sometimes you stumble upon a place in a town you don’t live in and it makes you wish you did. Pecan Point is one of those. After 9 pm on a Saturday night, Pecan Point was next to empty, and eventually we were the only ones left. Two of us in our party of four had the moscato cooler and holy cowwww it was good. I’m gonna try to make it at home since I unfortunately can’t eat at Pecan Point all the time. The duck fat fries were good, and came with yummy dipping sauces, but I couldn’t really taste the duck fat. The crab dip was not great, though. I was the only one to order an entrée, and my fisherman’s sandwich was on point!(See photo.) Another reason I give this place big ups is the décor. I want to live here. I also loved that they had sinks in the middle and«washrooms» that were gender neutral.(Hey people concerned about«men in women’s bathrooms»: it works here!) People of Texarkana: You gotta get more people to go here to keep it in business. You got a good thing here; don’t ruin it!

What a find! We were driving through Texarkana and spending the night on our way to Houston and found this place. In an area of town that’s a bit run down but it’s nice and safe. Food was good atmosphere was great! There’s a full bar and wine and their home brewed beer. The drunken goat lavash was really good. The prime rib sandwich was decent– nothing amazing but good. The duck fries that everyone talks about were also pretty good. Overall a really good experience. Would definitely come back anytime I have to stop through Texarkana.

If beers are your thing, this is your place. Now unfortunately, beers are not my thing, but this is still my place. It helps that this place is about 100 yards from my bed so I can stumble out roll down the stairs and go there, but it’s also the reason that I have been keeping my distance from them more than I intended to before I went for the first time. I love duck everything so Duck Fat Fries is what actually had my running in. I actually called at 9:45 and asked, is your kitchen still open, and then a few overnight guests and I ran over and had the fries. It felt weird that a bar’s kitchen closes at 10 having moved to TXK not too long ago, but I gather that’s pretty normal for the area. The duck fat fries were everything I dreamed of it to be, and then some. The some being the salt. But I’ve had then several times since the first time and once I get past the top layer of rather salty fries, it’s delicious. And it is paired awesomely with their house ketchup and ranch. Their service is a touch on the slow side but the servers are considerate about your requests and try to stay on top of things. For the most part they have been. I have yet to try their desserts but their blueberry shortcake? Or something like that sounds amazeballs and I’ll try it soon. It’s worth noting that most of their desserts sound like they come in a cup like a drink… not sure. I guess I’ll update when I know. I love that there is some place like this that is accessible in Texarkana, now if we could have about a dozen of places like this? That’d be awesome.

This place is so trendy and cool. Get in there, Texarkana! We’ve been wanting to check this place out. They have so many options for folks – communal seating, natural light, full bar, good food – you will NOT leave hungry!, and a chill area in case you’re on a date and want some more romantic setting(not communal). I don’t drink beer, so I cannot talk up the beer. My husband tried it and loved it. So, for non-beer-drinkers like myself, this is still an awesome option. I had some delicious wine. I had a side salad and a portion of fries, and I was full. If you have an appetite, this is your place. They know good food and good beer. Ask about the types of beer. They know the styles, and they can set you up right. You should definitely go check it out. I love the building and what they’ve done with it. More people should take some pointers from this business and others in downtown.

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while now, and man, it was worth it! I love local breweries, and I’ve been trying the ones in Little Rock, but spend enough weekends in Texarkana that this little gem caught my eye. It’s in downtown Texarkana, which makes me really happy, because there’s a lot of potential there, and it’s good to see a really good business taking root in the old store fronts. Pecan Point did a nice job there too, with a really modern, well-designed space that uses the old building without bulldozing the history of the place. Top marks! It also looks to be doing very well. We came in for a late lunch on a Saturday and there were a few people there, but by the time we left around early dinner time, it was positively hopping. And with a really fun, energetic crowd too. But! Enough fluff! Here’s what they’ve got: their own brewed beer, a full bar, a stellar menu, and a broad variety of things I’ve never seen anywhere else Example? French fries, fried in duck fat. Oho, boy! If you haven’t experienced these, they’re worth the trip by themselves! Thick, hot fries perfectly crisped on the outside and steaming on the inside — the best kind of fries! They come with a house-made ketchup(which was awesome with them, but be sure to ask for more sauce, it goes quickly) and a delicious truffle white sauce. Yum! The beers were very good, better than a lot of craft places I’ve tried. I had the taster(great way to go! A little variety and plenty to go with a meal) which came with in-house Chocolate Stout, a signature IPA, and and English-style Ale(a sour, even!) and one out-of-house beer that wasn’t on the menu. I actually loved the IPA, which I often don’t, but the Stout was a close second — and without either of them, the Ale would have really hit the spot by itself. The service was great, at one of the tables across from the bar, and the owner himself made an appearance to see how everything was. Seems really friendly, and it’s clear he cares a lot about his place. And the food! So, we tried the Chili, the side-salad, the French Onion Soup, and of course, the Duck Fat Fries. Everything was absolutely delicious, the side salad was exactly the size you’d expect, the greens were fresh, the dressing was great. the chili came with what I believe were house-made spicy crackers that went amazingly with everything. Everything was really, really good. And while I wouldn’t call it cheap(the taster was!) it’s an absolute bargain for what you get! A note on the food though, especially the fries — the portions are average, but it is *filling.* I was really hungry, so I went with a bowl of chili instead of the cup, and I only made it halfway through(which is unheard of for me!) I recommend getting one thing, finishing it, then seeing if you’re still up for more. More time to try a few beers, right? Long story short, I had an awesome experience. And when next I’m in town, I will be back!
